Without even watching this video: The reason people are leaving Netflix is because they don't have any content. It's disgraceful that the number one streaming platform in the world has almost no content from the film and television mediums. I don't think most new subscribers realise that when joining. Within a couple of week's time, you have already seen everything you wanted. I've had Netflix for less than a year and they have already raised the price twice. For the 200,000 that did cancel their subs, just imagine how many thousands more WANT to cancel, but are either procrastinating about cancelling, or are plagued with the idea of FOMO when, after cancelling, some new show starts trending. There are more people who want to cancel their subscription than the 200,000 that did - just like there are more people trapped in unfulfilling marriages then those that get divorced.

I couldn't agree more with you. I have Netflix and I am really starting to get irritated. I have seen just about everything already and there is just not enough new concent coming out. I have also found that the content that they do have is just not as enjoyable as it once was. I go days now without even thinking about Netflix. So if I am not enjoying their concent and I am not using it everyday then it seems silly to pay for it especially when they have increased the price

They have movies that strictly ridicule republicans,And try to make democrats seem intelligent.Ugly enough that same week I canceled DisneyFor similar reasons. I have no problem with Netflix's programs, though I am unhappy with its picture resolutions for programs that it provides, price per se. While in India, Netflix has sliced the price to Rs 200 for all devices to stream its programs, the picture resolution for those programs are horrible, say 480p. Now, if you want to upgrade your plan to FULL HD, you have to pay Rs 500 that's a monthly rental. SO PRICEY! That's the major issue I have found in Netflix. To beat the competition, Netflix must make all its programs viewable in FHD and UHD under the monthly rental of Rs 300, like hotstar and amazon prime. Besides, I have also noticed a deluge of Korean programs on Netflix, most of them are just overrated. Hence, I believe, Netflix must also see the quality of programs it buys for its audiences.

Content doesn't just come out of thin air, and people need to realise that. Especially if you want good quality content.
If you want Netflix to lower their prices AND give out quality content, then the downside of that is people will have to wait for the content to come out, which they don't want to.
You can't just have good stuff at a cheap price and all immediately one after the other.
Personally I feel Netflix was already doing good enough but since there's so much demand for good movies and shows, and it's so easy to binge an entire show in just a week atmost, it's difficult to put out new content every other week.
You leave Netflix, that's totally fine, but whatever platform you move next to, for content, eventually they'll all turn out the same way.
People need to practice patience too. 🤷🏻‍♂️

As for me, I quit Hulu. I kept getting a screen that said "Oops" and could only turn off the TV to get out of it. Requests for help were simply answered with directions on how to fix it myself (which never worked). Never could, finally got tired of paying to be told to fix-it-myself. Still have Netflix, Amazon Prime, BritBox & Curiosity Stream with no problems.

Netflix India has produced shows in the past that were an instant hit, but as of late Amazon prime is really ahead of Netflix in that matter. The industry is also so fragmented now. The problem was having various cable provider who has exclusive deals. Netflix was the monolith that a) combined everything, and b) made it on demand. Now with Disney+, Star, Amazon Prime, HBO Max et al. is taking us back to the problem of lots of providers who each have their own exclusives.
