    Since I see a lot of comments asking why the 5600g is better and we’ll the short answer is it isn’t necessarily better. In certain games ,typically the older games, it seems to do better because the older games use different software and engines to run with would explain why Vega 7 would have an advantage over Vega 8. Not to mention the 5700g has 8 cores and less latency and more stability vs the 5600g’s 6 cores and more latency and less stability. Given the current price for me 5600g-$200 5700g-$250 it’s not a bad deal.

      I noticed that even when the 5600g has lower average fps than the 5700g, it still has overall higher 0.1%, why is that?

    • @francesco2092
      @francesco2092 Před rokem +1

      you are right, but if you look deeper you will see that by putting the 3600 cl16 ram you will earn a lot with the 5700g, where supported by the motherboard. Seeing is believing (or see other great videos)

    So basically the Vega 8 in the 5700g has a couple more frames per second but much lower 0.1%, thus less linear performance and more stuttering. I'm satisfied with my overclocked 5600g after all

    Almost no difference in performance that would be noticeable in game without a fps counter. This being a budget choice for people that don't need a crazy GPU the 5600g is the only option out of the 2 really, great value.

      @greenman8 Před rokem +3

      @ $120, for a capable CPU, let alone an APU! Even if you don't need integrated graphics, at that price how can you miss?
      the 5700g if you always wanted the performance of 5600x with Integrated graphics for nerdy-tech reasons. maybe? I saw the 5700g for $199.

  • @michaelhopewell7739
    @michaelhopewell7739 Před 2 lety +12

    My main take from that is that the 5700g runs quite a lot hotter than the 5600G for not a lot extra in FPS. With prices finally stabilising and actually being available, the 5600G is now £165 at Curry's and the 5700G £265, but I'm not seeing £100 of difference. And while I agree AMD stock fans are pretty good on the whole, you have to spend a lot of money before the Wraith Prism (heat pipes and RGB) get's included.

    nice review ... what 5700G can , 5600G no different . if really want go for 5700G , the key should be CPU power , so future upgrade to 5 or 6 gen GPU , wouldn't be bottleneck by this CPU .

    These are more for low/medium. And 10% on 60fps is pretty useful at 66fps. 10% on 15fps is 16fps.

      because each core is individually faster then having multiple cores and spreading out the load, 5 core is better for gaming, but that's about it, video editing or 3d modeling 7 blows it out of the water.

    • @emvisuals
      @emvisuals Před rokem +6

      It depends on what you're going to do.
      5600G has a higher base clock speed, which is good for gaming.
      5700G has a higher core count which is good for video editing and 3D, despite it having lower base clock speed.
      In short, if you're into gaming, go with 5600G. If you're into video editing and 3D stuff, 5700G would be a safer bet for the future.
      But, both of these CPUs are good for both, it just has that extra juice for each of their own.

    512mb vram???

    • @dusk5927
      @dusk5927 Před 2 lety +4

      it's just the software that shows 512mb vram usage but it actually consumes more, for example take a look at resident evil village test. WIth a dedicated 4gb gpu those 14gb ram usage will drop to around 10 gb ram usage while playing resident evil village. Vega can utilize more than 512mb / 2048mb ram if it needs to

    • @prottoymahmood
      @prottoymahmood Před 2 lety +3

      @@dusk5927 i recently bought a 5600g apu. And it has 458 mb vram. I'm quite confuse. Can you give me a little bit explanation. Is it a good thing? Can it give the same performance of a 2gb vram gpu?

    • @dusk5927
      @dusk5927 Před 2 lety +7

      @@prottoymahmood never had an APU before but I would like to get one when ryzen 6000 series will come out. I searched a bit about these apus because I was confused too. It has something to do with UMA frame buffer size which you can set in the bios between 256mb and 2048mb, I heard it's the best to leave that setting to AUTO which is ideal for most types of video processing workloads.
      In games like gta 5 and doom eternal where you can see how much vram the game requires depending on the graphical settings you have, even if you have the vram set to 2048mb you'll see like 8gb vram available (as I saw in many benchmarks and it will show 8gb vram if you have 16gb ram in dual channel)
      There is no difference in the amount of ram allocated to the iGPU. If you will monitor the pc with msi afterburner while gaming, let's say you play pubg 1080p low, you see vram usage 256mb and ram usage around 9gb. In case you'll see vram usage 2048mb then you'll see ram usage around 7gb. It doesn't matter. The iGPU runs the game using ram as vram, if the game requires more vram then the iGPU will do it no matter what ram allocated the windows or msi afterburner says you have. And it actually can utilize more than 2gb ram as vram. for example gt 1030 and rx 550 2gb have fps below a ryzen 5 5600g in RE Village because that game runs terrible on 2gb vram, vega can utilize more if needed and if the pc has the necessary amount of ram. 16gb ram in dual channel recommended for a ryzen 5 5600g
