im pretty sure the pacing and complexity was like that for this tutorial case because its important to the plot. Other cases were super straight to the point or basic for the most part because the events themselves were unimportant. but for turnabout memories I think they were trying to make a big impression since we would have to keep these events in mind for the rest of the game

I think this case was pretty good, I’d put it like a tier higher.

I really enjoyed this case and think it was a strong opener for T&T, that said this video brings up good points. I definitely agree that Mia being threatened with losing her badge came out of nowhere and wasn't necessary. The same effect could have been achieved with a larger penalty than usual, like in other instances. Except... (spoilers for the final testimony of 3-2)
The game pulls a similar stunt with Luke Atmey where pressing punishes you severely if you don't press the right one. I love the Stolen Turnabout but could not do that bit without a walkthrough. I was only just starting to recover from Moe's testimony shenanigans in 2-3 so it gave me flashbacks

I can’t wait to review this game, sadly I got aai series, AJ trilogy series, and then the first two pw games to get done first, but onto memories
It is absolutely the one of the top tier first cases, up there with goats like foreign and blossoming attorney. Love this case, it’s actually my second favorite of this game. Also winston breakdown funni

So after Shu got back from vacation he was ordered to make 2 more games so Ace Attorney would become a trilogy, but why didn't he have this case or Turnabout Beginings be the tutorial case for Justice For All? I guess the most likely awnser to my question would be that Shu didn't really think THAT far a head as after he was finished with the 1st AA game he felt that he exhausted all ideas he had for a murder mystery and so when he got less than a year to make the 2nd 1 he was probably sweating bullets trying to get the game out on time. Still, I would have prefered it The Lost Turnabout got cut and replaced with either this 1 or TB as that way the final boss of the trilogy doesn't end up being a GAME EXCLUSIVE CHARACTER.
Also, I actually find it really dumb that the game forces you to help Payne with making Phoenix look guilty in front of the judge before you can go after Dahlia proper. Like, I'm playing as an defence attorney NOT a prosecuter. If I want to play as a prosecuter I'll just play the tutorial case of Burden of Proof (Burden of Proof is an Ace Attorney clone game).

Yea I think you're right on the money about why this wasn't the tutorial in JFA. The trilogy did not have a complete plan. Most of his ideas for T&T were not even thought about while he wrote JFA.

@@DerpyHiro man, I do wish that we were living in the timeline where the entire trilogy was planned out from the start to finish and Shu was given permition to the execs to make a such a trilogy right away (And given the same budget as Spirit of Justice)

Nice to see a new vid from you
I enjoy your vids so im glad
    Also I agree completely
    Turnabout memories is kinda overrated
Like sure it is the best 1st case yet
But pacing is what kill it for me to be amazing
Also the humor was dry or just overused jokes
This case is 6.5/10 for me
    Decent case
Call me crazy but I enjoyed first Turnabout more
Probably cause of pacing and intense right off the bat
But still memories is better than first
    Cant wait for stolen Turnabout
2nd best 2nd case for me
