- A walk through of my US Baby Bank Note stamps and their transition to the First Bureau issues. There’s a lot of interesting details in this set, but nothing too complicated for a beginning collector. And overall, these stamps are common enough in lots that you will come across them no matter your stamp collecting budget.
Again, thanks to the Swedish Tiger for images and guidance on this episode. Check out the site at: www.theswedishtiger.com/US-St...
Hello Ken,
Another excellent educational video. Thanks for helping explain the differences in the bank note series. I always learn so much from your videos. I wish there was more educational material on video to watch and always appreciate your insight and logic.
Sincerely - Winston
Glad it's helpful. I seem to be leaning toward teaching more than showing my own collection. People seem to like that, though.
Another fun definitive series with so many varieties! I find very few of these in disorganized mixes - a lot of collectors for several generations have been too efficient lol
I think I find these in old, old albums.
Hi Ken, I just LOVE these educational videos of yours. Although I do not collect USA stamps (at this stage), I find it interesting to learn about stamps of all countries. It makes one appreciate the stamps more when one encounter them in e.g. stamp mixes or old collections. I had to watch through your video twice to start to make sense of it (not due to your explanation and content, but rather because the stamps and info are so new to me). However, I still really enjoy the video. I really like to learn new things. Take care!
Thank you. I've realized I'm leaning toward educational. That's what people seem to respond to most. I think I enjoy making the ones that just share my collection more, though, like your's. A little bit of both, I think.
Probably a good balance is the best, as you said, but it is not easy to get it right. You are doing very well. I also think different viewers are looking for slightly different things. Mostly I think staying true to yourself is one of the most important aspects. I think in that you are probably spot on. @@KensStampCollection 👍
Another super video Ken 👏👏👏⭐️⭐️⭐️ i don’t collect US classics yet but saving your videos for future reference 😊
You collect so many other great things, though
@@KensStampCollectioneasily distracted I guess as soon as I see nice designs
Great video as usual Ken. Those 2 cent Washingtons are what I think of as proper classic US collecting. A lot of trying to count dots and ink blobs under high magnification. I thought you said it was an easy set! 😂
Oh, hold on. This is the easy set. Some harder ones are coming soon.
@@KensStampCollection Can't wait! 🙂
Good morning Ken!..So I was just super curious (& in my asking meaning no offense..) But are you the "Ken" as in Mr. Ken Potter, author of the numismatic classic error coin reference book "Get Rich With Pocket Change"?? Being one of my favorite & go to for error coins reference and reading there..But stumbling across you & hearing your voice here.. Seems ssoo familiar as far as just your vibe, verbage, & persona seems totally one in the same totally! Audible here & then only visually, when pertaining to a different subject in collectioning of things!!! Even if Im wrong & u may not be Mr. Potter u had me 30 secconds into the only video Ive hit play to...Good day to you Ken!...
Alas, I am not Ken Potter. No offense taken. I'm so glad you found me though. Thanks for watching!
