  • Diving into some stamps I have limited knowledge of both philatelically and culturally. These are my King George V stamps from Canada.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful videos, Ken. I'm a brand new collector and enjoy the depth of your content.

That’s nice to hear. I don’t want to be too nerdy and scare away new collectors. Send me off an email with what you collect and I’ll see if I have some things you might enjoy.

This was a fun video to watch, Ken. I'm Canadian so these were some of the first stamps I studied when I started collecting. The high values of these sets are some of the most iconic Canadian issues. (Mt. Edith Cavell, Bluenose, etc.)
It's so interesting to hear the stamps described by a general collector of them. I had not considered that folks would have trouble telling George V apart from his father Edward VII for example. And I never thought about how the frames around the high values are different than the low value stamps. I never thought past, Unitrade says these stamps go together so they must go together. 🙂

You know, that’s just the kind of comment I was hoping for. Thank you

Again so enjoyable and so instructive. Thanks, Ken! You are able to give one a good overview and important detail. I know more about Canadian stamps now. When I see some in mixes again, the added knowledge will help me to enjoy them more. With all these words I wanted to say "thank you". 🙂... Oh, I almost forgot: congratulations with finding that grill US stamp!

Oh, hi Charlie. Great to hear from you. I just watched your unboxing. What a fun find. I think you got good value there. What part of your collection have you been working most on these days? I've been trying to dig out of three big lots I've acquired. Still finding treasures.

I did very barely started with the stockbook that must become my Great Britain Collection, putting in some labels. But largely I am concentrating on sorting the thousands of stamps I have! I started with the largest mix lots. I have not found anything special or a "treasure" yet, because I know too little to identify any treasures!!!! I first just sort the world mixes into countries and put them in packets or envelopes in files in a filing cabinet. Not sure its the best way. Some countries have too many stamps, e.g. New Zealand, to fit in a flat file and I have to put those countries' stamps in a box! Each country in its own box. I think I might start to identify possible treasures when I start to work through the stamps and catalogue them. I don't know how else.@@KensStampCollection

Enjoyed your look into our Canadian neighbors to the North. In my case, neighbors to the East.

So well put together video Ken. So much to learn about Canadian stamps. Makes me really feel like a beginner (which I am😂). Thanks for the video and sharing of the information!

I enjoyed the video Ken. I live in Canada so love the stamps here. I noticed that you had two “precanceled” stamps that you showed. The first was a one cent and the second was also a one cent… the one you commented about having a mask. Check out the prices, some of those can be worth more!

That's kind of you. Drop me an email (On my about page). I'd be happy to send along things you are looking for too. But it looks like you are falling away from the hobby. I get that. Let me know. And perhaps you'll get takers from other viewers. Thanks for watching
