What do you guys think of the 7900 GRE? Have AMD regained the midrange from NVIDIA once and for all, or are you still pulled towards the 4070 Super for features like Ray Tracing & DLSS 3? Genuinely really intrigued here! 👀
Where did all the blue components come from? They match the case.
Rtx 4070 super is still the champ
4070 supers dlss3 capability and all round rather Nvidia
i was thinking the same, 4070 super or 7900GRE, im playing 2K, and i was seeing during my last games played that my gpu was using 11-12GB in many many games. So i have decided for the 7900 GRE, mainly because of the 16GB vram, and then i saw that since 2 weeks ago, they unlocked this GPU and now with the memory OC it fight face to face against 4070 TI SUPER, and im fucking happy with this card. 16GB is a MUST for the next GEN engines. BTW, i was using RT with my 3070 Ti, and it is pure marketing man, it fucks your gaming experience with many fps drops, and the visual improvements for me are just SHIT.

@@thatending7843 I returned my 7600x for the 7800x3d and now I’m about to return the 7800x3d for the 7950x3d 😅
My situation is I want to stream from twitch & TikTok while running music in the background because of this neither the 6 or 8 cores have shown to be able to handle this multitasking.
(However when it comes to straight up gaming the 7600x is a beast I got 190fps in warzone and 240+fps in apex legends)(even when just streaming to twitch and gaming I had no problems with fps)
And the 7900gre is an amazing GPU truly such a bang for buck I got mine for $550 a month ago and it’s $520 rn which for what you get is crazy to me
So in my opinion it is a great combo for just pure gaming
However if you want to stream or have a movie playing while you game on your second monitor I’ve found the 6 cores are just not enough

The $417 bundle was from Microcenter. There’s an online promo of $25 off to make it from $500 to $475. I had a $25 coupon, so $450. Then, they took another discount off after that for some reason that I’m not complaining about lol
After that, they had the TN470 on sale for $69.99.

Is there a pc part picker or pc specialist build for this?
Are you able to stream and play games with this spec pc ?
How does the 6400 ram work woth the Ryzen 7600x? Any testing since you built it? Very curious due to reports of a ceiling being reported by some users not having their 6000 working properly, and AMD stating 5400 as recommended.
6000 mhz is the best for amd cpus
6000 is the recommended
Sold… building this now
where is the wiring guide in the description?
can you give me a link to the graphics card you used in this build?
Interesting build. I would have opted for a faster CPU over some of the cosmetic choices.
As of June 2024, buyers in the USA can sacrifice some cosmetics and make a few more budget friendly options to get a Ryzen 7700 & 7900 XT for under $1,500.
ive changed the CPU for 7800x3d what do you think
what do you think and suggest to upgrade from a 1650 im looking at the 3060 12GB but im open to everything
If you didn't already bought it, the 3060 12Gb is a bit overpriced right now. If you want Nvidia you can get the RTX 3060 ti which only has 8 Gb of VRAM but is much faster, or you can get a used RX 6700 XT for example
what monitor did you use?
Is there a replacement case that would still work for this?King 95 PRO Dual-Chamber ATX Mid-Tower PC Gaming Case
Any case that is ATX and has enough room for the GPU
what would be a good mid range monitor for this build be? I don't want to go too cheap, but don't necessarily want to pay for OLED.
It's better to have a less powerful pc and having an OLED monitor than having a super powerful pc and having a cheaper monitor. OLED really looks better and has better pixel response time. And OLED you can find OLED monitors for 600€ now so it's not as expensive as it was a few years ago
Hey man, I’m seriously considering making this but the ASU’s you is like 300 more than the gigabyte. Will it still work at the same performance level or at least similar to what you showed in the video. I know that gigabyte is usually considered the cheaper option but it’s just so much cheaper.
Go with the cheaper one. There's no difference between performance
No bro you will gain more perf by overclocking a bit the gigabyte one than buying the Asus one.
¿Que monitor está usando para esta PC?
Where is the wiring or cable management video for this?
Sorry - releasing on Monday!
Do you think I should get the 7800 xt or the 7900 gre, I am pairing them up with the r5 7600x and budget of 1500-1600 dollars
It depends on the price difference, If it's $50-$75 you can go safe with the GRE but if it is more the 7800xt it's your option
@@ricardorosa6456thanks for the advice
Hi does anyone know if I’ll get the same performance with hellhound card instead
@geekawhat if you see this where do these pcs go after you're done with the vid
alot of them re-use the parts for other build videos
Could I switch the cpu to a ryzen 7 7800x3d to future proof and save some money for when I upgrade in the future?
If you buy a more powerful CPU now you're not going to save money. It's better to buy a cheap CPU now that works well with your GPU, then when you upgrade your GPU you upgrade your CPU too with the next cheap CPU that will come out and it's going to be faster anyway.
overclocking the 7900gre using will end up being close to the 4070ti super even moreso if you're using the Sapphire nitro version
whats the difference in dual and tuff gaming for the ASUS i cant find the tuff gaming version
Don't buy Asus bro it's overpriced af. The cheapest RX 7900 GRE is the sapphire pulse and it's already great you don't need the TUF one
If I want to replace the air cooler with a liquid cooler what would you get?
Artic freezer 3, 240mm or 340mm version depending on case
should have tried unlocking the gpu... its 10% free extra performance without touching voltage at all.
It's my first time building a pc, but can i add an AIO cooler to this?
You don't need an AIO that needs to be serviced and will certainly have problems in 2-3 years, especially to cool a 7600X
Love your vids
Appreciate it!

Yes you can, just make sure it’s still the m.2
@@bengunn7385 Alright thanks🙂👍
Can I upgrade to a ryzen 9 if I wanted to?
I just built this exact setup except had to use a Gigabyte 7900 GRE instead. First pc I’ve ever built and I can’t seem to figure out why it’s running on average 65c. Is there a good place I can find a bios and setup after building?
Is that the cpu temperature, cause if it is that’s quite normal. If that’s your GPU temp then that is a problem. I am considering making the build with a gigabyte 7900 GRE because of the price difference so please re-reply if you do find out. Also does it perform as advertised with the gigabyte allowed to the ASU’s?
@@bengunn7385 This is the first pc I built and I did end up getting the cpu temp down but I did exchange the air cooler for a AIO. Temp stays between 32-48ish now. I will say I am not 100% sure that everything is correct in my bios as it’s my first time. Haven’t really adjusted fans on the case or anything. Also my monitor caps at like 170 and I’ve been able to play everything with no problem on high 1440. So, I’d say yes. It does great and I know it could be better if I knew what I was doing. lol

Nice! Are you happy with it? :)
For the cooler, isnt the termialrigjt peerless assassin the best performance cooler
Best price/perf yes and certainly better than this Deepcool one
Which is better 7600X + 7900 GRE or 7800X3D + 7800 XT ?
Is ryzen 5 7600 non X good with 7900 gre on 1440p? because it shows 35% bottleneck, but the X version has 0%
There’s no bottleneck-the 7600 and 7600x are essentially identical CPUs once PBO is enabled on the non-X variant. I have a system with that exact combo-7900 GRE and 7600 and it doesn’t have any issues with 1440p gaming (Starfield on ultra settings gets roughly 75 FPS on average, on high settings I’m getting 90+).
Idk what bottleneck calculator you use, or if you put the wrong settings, but a 7600 and 7900 GRE in 1440p GPU intensive tasks shows like 3-4% of bottleneck which is nothing. I think you put GPU intensive tasks or something in the settings to get 35% CPU bottleneck.
Isn't 5 7600 and 5 7600x same preformeance? (i just want to make sure)
I haven't researched much on the AM5 Platform nor the new gens of Cpu's and Gpu's as I'm not interested with them due to some bugs and prices.
But from what I heard, Yes they are. You can even get away with a Ryzen 5 7500f if you can find one available and it's supposedly cheaper than the Ryzen 5 7600 and Ryzen 5 7600x
If you enable boost for the 7600 then yes
i thought there was a wiring guide?
+1 sub
A guesswork question but would this build be able to handle gta 6 for recommended system specs?
GTA 6 won’t release for another year and a half and the required specs haven’t been released. Chances are that the pc will run it when it does come out but it will probably have to be at slightly lower settings because of the inevitable advance in technology.
Depends on resolution. In 4K I don't think it's going to run at max settings, but in 1440p it could very much run at max settings 60 FPS or something like that. But we don't know when GTA 6 will be released on PC (only announced on consoles right now) and it also depends on what setting, resolution and FPS you want to play
What’s the fps?
🐐7900 gre🐐

Why are you asking that?

Btw guys can this pc run a ASUS TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT OC Edition 20GB GDDR6
I’m not and expert but with that power of graphics card there’s better options but it should work
Would the Ryzen 7 7700 for $25 more than the Ryzen 5 7600x be the better buy?
Yes
Yes
Yes
If it's 25 dollars more absolutely grab it!
With this budget you can get a 7900XTX with R5 7600 and good ram , good psu and good NVME .
IF
you cheap out all the rgb and unnecessary stuff
7900 XTX is 900$, 175 for a 7600, 120 for RAM. That's already 1300$. A mobo is at least 150 so no that not possible
The only difference from this build to mine is the motherboard and gpu I went with the gigabyte Mono and gpu
any alternative case and PSU?
Any ATX case that fits with the GPU, any PSU that is powerful enough and is decent quality
Is this build also good for VR?
I don’t have it, but probably depending on what you are gonna do with it
The real crime here is playing F1 23 in 3rd Person 😂
Can you recommend one out of the Rtx 4070 or Rx 7800 xt, idk if I should go for vram (‘future proof’) or nvidia features.
The 7800xt is cheaper by 50-100 dollars and has more vram and only has less fps by only a little
the 7800 xt is 10% faster and comes with 16gb plus is 50dls cheaper... the 4070 i dont think is good enough of a deal, not like it could really do RT properly heavily relies on DLSS to achieve decent stuff i would pick the amd card.-
the 7800xt is faster by a good margin for a cheaper price, better VRAM, better FPS, cheaper. The only thing the 4070 has going for it is the better ray tracing. if you don’t use ray tracing, there is no reason to get the 4070 at all. (You can still ray trace with the 7800xt just fine with FSR)
I would get a 7900 GRE, overclock the memory, then you have a much faster GPU than the RTX 4070 or even 4070 super for less money.
U forget to plug the +4 pin cpu power connector. 😂
i plugged mine in, but unless your doing some substantial cpu overclocking you wont need it.
What the difference between rx7900xt and rx 7900 GRE
The XT is faster and has 4GB more VRAM but is more expensive. Hardware Unboxed have a review on the GRE that shows the XT in graphs too for performance comparison - czcams.com/video/lDp9rT4YUpA/video.htmlsi=1Ul9wfry7Q9mwfB7&t=551
my 7700X + 7900XT Build, people would only offer $1000
why are you putting thermal paste on the cpu when the cooler comes with thermal paste on it.
Because he certainly already used the cooler or wants to use a better thermal paste than the includes one
I'd go for 14700K and 4070ti over this any day
Just a question, the issue with the long boot times in the Ryzen 5 7600X are real? i going for a similar build but with a Core I7 12700KF because of the boot time issue with the Ryzen
It's not the CPU that causes long boot times, it's the mobo 😂 also the 12700 KF is on a dead platform, and is a lot slower... And you really went to Intel just because some motherboards on AM5 take 5 more seconds to boot ??? WTF
Just get freezer 36 instead of ak400
That particular card is 600 USD
No 550 maybe 600 depending on what model it is
