Easy, RX 7700 new, ARC A770 new or used, RX 7800 XT used, RX 7900 GRE used. The reason to go with these newer generation GPUs is because they have AV1 video codec support which can make your videos look a lot better especially in lower bitrates compared to other codecs like H.265 or H.264. Avoid RTX 4060, RTX 4060 TI, RX 7600, RX 7600 XT, unless those GPUs go for cheap in the used market. Even then these GPUs won't hold up well in demanding titles in the future. The bus width of these 4 GPUs is only 128 bit which isn't too good, and the 8GB versions are the worst, meanwhile the 16GB versions of these gpus are still left to be desired. Its only bad pricing that makes these GPUs a rip-off.

At this point it's either buy a used 3080 for normal builds or a new low profile 4060 specifically for ultra small builds or 4070 for specifically low power builds

RTX 3070 will do nicely, widely available in the used market.

The 3070 ti outperforms that 4060 ti in almost every application. The only edge the 4060 ti has over the 3070 ti is dlss 3.0. 3070 ti's can be found used for $350 - $400 depending on the card

For me, the best card for 1440p is like a 7900xt, 4070ti super, 7900xtx, or a 4080super. Best for 1080p is like a 6700xt, 6750xt, a titan rtx, 2080ti, 3070, or a 3070ti.

I use a 7600 which is no where near as good as a 7800xt and haven’t come across a game I can’t play in the 1440p without some graphical adjustments

nah my rx 6700 xt works good enough for me and u can get em for around $300 got mine for $200

Why no 6800?

Just got a 7800xt on eBay for 380$ well 400$ after tax. Also just upgraded from a 5600x to a 5800x3d for 250$. I mainly play competitive titles at 1080p at high 240hz refresh rate so hopefully this will last me until AM6 comes out.
