I just got mine fixed. No rattle anymore, but it seems much quiter, and the exhaust modes are less distinguishable.

Do you still have the rattle? My dealership did the tsb and I no longer has it on cold start but then it started doing so after a drive amd leaving it for a few minutes then starting it back up. They apparently removed the mesh today and told me to drive it and see how it end up doing in a few days. Is the mesh required? I don't do any off roading

The wire harness is connected to the bolt, does that just pry up or is there a release? I can’t get mine off to get to the bolt to remove the actuator

My Raptor has this spring already -
And the noise it’s still there-
Dealer will not help me because - ford has no ideas-( my car is build after June 2022 )
I would like to get in bulk my self
But only have one question- the plastic which hold the cable on the top of the bolt - how to pup this out ?

Are you referring to the spring rattle specifically or just the general kind of rattling sound that the exhaust makes.

Thanks for sharing. What’s the process for obtaining these replacement parts from ford?

The tsb is covered by Ford warranty. You can order the part numbers in the description and just do it yourself if you want but at the time they were almost 200 a piece dealer cost.

I've recently acquired a Raptor R. I previously owned a Gen 3 that had this issue. Funny thing is the Raptor R does as well. The gen 3 exhaust setup looks similar to the Raptor R. I'm assuming it's the same culprit. Thanks for the post.... it was very helpful.

Could I get away with not updating any software? I don't know how all of that is done.

You can swap them and see how it does, but ideally you need to do the retrain portion so it "learns" the new setup

@@jptechtalk4685 Do you know if this can be retrain with FORScan?
