I think your doing great! And learning in a smart way First time I scraped my floorboards on my C90 I almost pooped lol. I learned real quick your foot can get caught under the rear brake or shifter when the board tries to fold up. Keep it up! The confidence will come with time. Remember the C50 is almost twice the curb weight of the CBR250, that's something you feel and have to experience up, to handle.

I just took a ride on the interstate a couple nights ago. Wow! I was not prepared for the incredible wind / air draft ! Indiana has some great late afternoon temperatures for driving. Still enjoying while the season allows.
I got a CBR 250RR that I use in South East Asia and a BMW R1250GS that I ride in Europe. Every time I go from one to the other it takes a little time to adjust 😁. I've never scraped the foot pegs on either though 😂
5:23. I have that same 09 M50. I have yet to scrape, but I am a new rider (3 months 😵💫) I think self preservation caused you to scape hard parts, it looks to me like as you approached the curb you increased your lean angle.

Mine has a windscreen that makes it more comfortable. Make sure you give the bike a check before cruising any sort of distance. Enjoy!

Yep, my first scrap was on a 2005 Honda Shadow 750 my first bike...scared the heck out of me lol
I just went from a cb300f very nice and light to a Honda shadow aero 750, so I’m also going through this.
