    I have mine setup like yours. I have a red laser on the side but I also have a red dot sight with flip up sights that co witness with the red dot. The last thing I did was added a sling. Love it.

    I noticed a couple of improvements you could make if you decide to edit your Video: 1) the overall Length of the BP-12 is 30.7" versus 24" and 2) the Chokes are I, III, and IIIII (1, 3, and 5) which correspond to Full (I), Modified (III), and Cylinder (IIIII). The Cylinder Choke comes installed and will take anything. Some folks state that you can use any of these Chokes unless you are shooting Slugs then avoid the Full Choke; other folks state that any of these Chokes are fine with Slugs. If you modify your Video, you may want to caution folks that the new Gen 2's (which I coin as Gen 2+) come with staking Allen screws/bolts that lock the Barrel/Castle Nut to the Upper Receiver - these must be removed before removing the Barrel/Castle Nut otherwise you'll strip the nut.

    Benelli pump with extended tube magazine for HD, I have the BP12 second generation, cool gun, but due to the risk inherent to box fed mags deforming shells over time and causing feed issues, I don't feel trusting it for HD is something I could be comfortable with..

    Great video, however, I was hoping you'd cover disassembly because my Panzer Arms BP-12 is now essentially a "box of parts". It turns out, the box my BP-12 came in indicates it is a Gen 2 but it is not, it is either a Gen 3 prototype or a Gen 2 refurbed/modified. Here's the scoop, I was disassembling the gun following all the directions that I could find on CZcams and in the Owner's Manual. When I got to the 2nd Castle Nut that holds the Upper Receiver and Barrel together, it was very snug/tight but at least one video I watched warned of this. Turns out, the snug/tight fit wasn't because that was normal, it was because Panzer Arms (or somebody in Refurb) added an Allen screw/bolt on the bottom of the Receiver which locked the Castle Nut in-place. I had no idea this was the case because none of the videos, write-ups, or manual ever even hint of this Modification. Not only that, I found there were actually two Allen screws/bolts in the same hole - one must have been broken off and was holding onto the Castle Nut; the 2nd one was screwed in directly behind the broken off Allen screw/bolt. I contacted Palmetto State Armory and asked them to resolve but they stated "All Sales are Final". Their Customer Service Rep (who obviously knows nothing about Firearms) told me that I should not disassemble the gun because that would void the Manufacturer's Warranty. Now what I have is a "box of parts". Not impressed with Palmetto State Armory at all. I sent off an email to Panzer Arms a couple days ago (no phone number available) but haven't heard back from them. I'm so upset that I was shipped a modified/undocumented firearm that is now worthless. PS: I also purchased the Panzer Arms AR-12 and attempted to disassemble it, when I got to the 2nd Castle Nut, I did a thorough inspection to make sure there wasn't any hidden mods like Allen screw/bolt and there wasn't. I then used the supplied Arbors wrench and used a fair amount of pressure trying to get the Castle Nut to break free - instead, the Arbor wrench tooth broke off and the Castle Nut never budged. I'm starting to think they are having problems in this area and have tried everything in their power (Allen screw/bolt & Red loctite) to keep the 2nd Castle Nut in-place. As a result, it is impossible to thoroughly clean the bolt and rails.

      pretty much the same, the egx has a 18.5" barrel, but the egx has a button to go between high and low velocity for the gas system, and it can also be used on the left or right side. oh, and the egx has a QD socket on the back of the stock

    Is this a gen 1? I just bought one used and I didn't have a separate piston for high capacity. But I think gen 2 is possibly different.
    How can I tell?

    • @TheDeltaDefensive
      @TheDeltaDefensive  Před 9 měsíci +1

      To be completely honest with you, I only have experience with the Gen2, so I wouldn’t be able to tell you the differences at this time. I do know that the Gen1 looks slightly different from the Gen2, but I will look into it and get back to you tomorrow afternoon though!
      Since you bought it used it’s possible that the previous owner misplaced the high velocity gas block. To check, if you take the shotgun apart to clean it, if the gas block is the high velocity one, it will have “H.V.” Engraved into it. If not, then it’s your standard velocity gas block

    Bird shot dosent run well out of the box. I have had several of these. It will run heavy loads flawless out of the box, just store it with the bolt open for a month or 2 and it will chew up any 12g ammo.

      Why store with the bolt open?.does it loosen the spring?

    • @TheDeltaDefensive
      @TheDeltaDefensive  Před 11 měsíci +1

      @c.h.u.d That’s one way of doing it, yep! The springs on these come very tight and sometimes won’t allow the shell to eject fully. So giving it a proper break in by using 300 rounds is one method, or just storing it with an open bolt is another!

    MUST BE MADE IN THE SAME FACTORY AS MY ATI. I HAVE THE 20GA. I GOT MINE FOR HOME DEFENSE AS WELL. THE 20GA DOES NOT HAVE MUCH OF A KICK AND IS NOT LOUD. THE RECOIL IS WHY I WENT WITH THE 20GA. I DON'T FEEL I LOSS BUT A NANA SECOND OF SPEED OR POWER VS THE 12GA. I HAVE SHOT SLUG, BUCKSHOT, AND BIRD SHOT THROUGH MINE, NO PROBLEM.
