Yeah I just uninstalled today but I'm going to reinstall it in October and look into the changes. Disappointed but will be interested about the change once it releases.

sad we never saw its full potential, for those who have been playing this for so long. I got tired of waiting for the devs make PVP more exciting and fresh. but they want to keep focus on PVE because their say so

I appreciate the effort you took to take clips from the previous dev videos to make it clear exactly what expectations were and what AGS committed to before the past week of announcements. They've taken so many efforts to try to hide the game's history, whether by closing & deleting the official forums or re-branding the game with a different title, and I suspect they thought that switching to a video-only format would make it harder for people to point to their failures/lies.
Videos like this are important so that potential players can make an informed decision about whether to invest their time & money in any game run by this studio.
The summer event could come out in Oct. That sums up New World's Dev team perfectly.

Thank you. I mentioned this in the discord post and had some dude argued with me what a roadmap is... like a roadmap is used in development to show what resources are being allocated to create... not features of an "unreleased" game.

Once Human is a freaking blast. Demo is out now and the full release is July 9th. I won’t be back to Dead World. Their “End Game” is a straight joke lol Solo Soul Trials and 3 raids total? Oh and the first 2 trials mean absolutely nothing lol
You can't even call Wyrm and Hatchery a raid. That's just boss fight and trial with waves.
Its worth to play the demo or its just a open beta test that will have progress reseted before launch?

I for one am sick and tired of them taking area's away from us! I don't want Cutlass Keys to be a lvl 65 zone!! and I don't want to accidentally walk into a Forced PVP Zone, I Don't PVP! I want it to stay the way It has always been, It's how I farm some of my season quests, and where i fish!! not to mention if you didn't buy the expansion, you now lose Cutlass keys completely! how is a lvl 60 going to go to a level 65 zone?
That's a good point. I think they look at the map and find zones that have low activity (which is all of them currently haha). These devs are out of touch and have been since the beginning. I would suggest migrating to a different game. This one has been on a spiral downward for a long time now.
What they could be doing is placing events in each zone to enhance interaction. Theme parks are notorious for one and done locations. That should change...
I don't think cutlass key is beeing changed. The left side gets increased and bumped to 65.
Rest should stay the same

You gotta move on from this game. No better way to highlight their failures than their top streamers moving on. This happened to WoW in BFA & Shadowlands and now the game is actually improving.

That's typical of mmos, having a gear chase with annual gear resets. Keeps the game fresh. But most games will do it when they add content. Re-farming 725 by doing all the same old content isn't going to create much excitement.

I never understand why devs always screw it up. Is it disorganization or greed or just pure stupidity? So many games get killed by devs listening to the wrong people
The only thing i learned in this video is that new world is solo game and they came out with some more stuff for solos to do that leads to absolutely no progress or satisfaction. They just repeat the same questions and answers over and over. Same answers for every single question.

Also, season 5 made of the season 4 content that either wasn't ready on time, or was just held back to make the half-hearted release that season 5 was.

I think the biggest miss with the change from MMO to ARPG is, they can spin this as no longer a live service game and justify slower updates and slower content drops.
Heya Baggins! Good job as always! Imo they will change the camera view (Scott mentioned it - "camera and navigation") so that the camera view and navigation will be the same between consoles and PC. Which is ... not cool.

I’m still new to the game started a couple weeks ago and honestly only have experienced a few bugs which I just reload and fixed outside of that I still think the game has so much potential and going forward if we can make it to next year on the content coming out I have high hopes. A 10 player raid feels really good because here’s the thing it’s probably a test to see how it does and boom maybe we have 1,2,3 10 man raids or maybe they use mutations to make it more challenging i can get behind that. Console release is still very positive it opens up the player base more and hopefully ups the demand for content and qol I’m going to stay positive here and hope for the best
I’m with you Baggins. I’ve been disappointed every dev update/Q&A basically since launch. I’ve been hoping for a new battleground/OPR map all this time and every “roadmap” has not had it. Idk why they haven’t made one yet, but maybe one day.
After a year, I gave up on New World. I'm tired of being a pre-alpha tester for Amazon's next Lord of the Rings/Middle Earth MMO. I'll just wait for that to come out.

Just imagine if other professions worked like this - like farmers or medical professionals or people that work in transportation... like "just wait 6 months and well have food or help or something for you" then 6 months later this is all they have to show. this is just sad - was a good game, but they are dragging it through the mud with lies and laziness.. I didn't hear you mention Soulmask as one of the games you may play. Even in early release, it is such a well-polished game. Loving it.

I’ve moved on from New World as my main game. Still play it on the side occasionally because the PvP combat is still unmatched. Let’s be real, this game/update isn’t for the current 7000 concurrent players, or roughly 30,000 monthly active users. They need new money. This is the only chance they have left to redeem their project and the game studio as a whole. Hoping they can get their heads out of their arses and actually deliver quality updates with real content from here forward. Doubt it. We’ll see though, I’m not holding my breath.
Bringing in consoles with 30% of global video game sales is a good move from a sales aspect and at this point it is the right one to bring in new players. I haven't played in a few months and will probably jump back in at launch to see what's what.
I played the game in 2022 when it released till 2023 February/March. I've been following the game updates and news and this only makes me wonder, how could they fuck this up so bad. It's only going worse and worse.
still didn't adress the new options in character creator that we already know are coming, or if there is a barber or not (datamined) considering how little is actually coming.
I'll definitely check it out on october to see how it plays and feels, but till then Im probably taking a break or playing only a bit. :/

I had so much faith on this game, this mmo has the best gathering, crafting mechanics. Something that I haven’t seen in a long time, also 3v3’s were awesome. Hopefully it does not die

Devs are not in control, it's so freaking obvious man. The suits are absolutely shitting on this game and on its community. They are just trying to fight a fire with oil and not water. They have no idea what the hell to say, they are being told what to say. You can even see them reading off a prompter or screen lmao. This game is fucked.
Scott's like the guy they pay super well, they call him into an office and tell him the news. He walks out and says fuck me sideways, ima jump off a bridge! And then puts on a face and convinces his team to follow him into oblivion. Tells em oh its not so bad guys, we can make this work! He's making so much money and even though his morals tell him it's wrong the homie has a mortgage and 7 kids.
To be sure that is NOT a roadmap.
The game with the most potential ruined by the most incompetent.
It was kinda fun while it lasted.
Just hope this team isn't allowed anywhere near the proposed LotR game.
I enjoyed the leveling experience for the most part when I played but my issue was lack of varied endgame content and world population aswell as truthfully game breaking bugs

I remember Star Wars Galaxies rebranded/changed its game, going for a new audience, and it completely killed the game. History repeating itself
When they released the picture with all the content coming, I was of excited. I will come back for the 10 player raid to get the 725 gear. I just hope that the raid is exciting. Also the PvP zone could be very good for the game. Their originally 30 minute announcement was really disappointing tho.
honestly since the whole NW situation snowballed out of control with the economy and all, I cannot freaking play anymore, it's cumbersome. So this looks like a great opportunity to hop back.
Imagine adding new endgame solo soul trials and limit it 3 per day. They are fucking insane.

Maybe there are not roadmap because, there are no future if the lunch in console dont go well.
It is sad because is still a great game with a great community.
Reworking another zone instead of opening new claimable territory and no changes to territory control means the same 1%er's will drive off 99% of the players within 6 months. AGS is at least predictable.
