    I have 3 sets of these and have used for YEARS and zero issues. Clubs we play at arent big enough to worry about drop out and guessing 99.9% of those in clubs are the same. Reason i have 3 is so everyone has their own mix. Why not? Absolutely worth it. Chuck the worthless ear buds and get real ones.
    Let me know questions.

    Bro! Thanks so much for clarifying about the mono mix output! I was wiring a set of these for a church I'm system (they already had them on hand) and could not find a way to pan them to provide 4 separate channels. Is there a budget product you would recommend to achieve multiple wireless IEMs?

    I have a question and it's a long one. Would you be able to make a video showing what would be needed for a 1 or 2 person performance with backing tracks, click tracks, and instruments? It's hard for me to find a video that has equipment on a reasonable budget. I've just been so confused about a lot of audio equipment.

  • @SilverPaladin
    @SilverPaladin Před rokem +1

    I was hoping the receiver could be set to either left or right of the stereo, thus giving you a potential 4 separate mixes. But oh well. I got it dirt cheap it will do for now.

    Was kinda keen on this and it's good to see a review from a fellow New Zealander on some of the drawbacks like the power thing. Couldn't you have just bought a one of those travel adapter things you see in like K-Mart or The Warehouse instead of a whole new power supply? Or was it to do with the voltage also
    The stereo thing also sucks. I thought that could be a way of using two packs on the one channel but could be fed different mixes if used in mono if you hard panned the inputs

    I found it challenging to make them work all together. Whenever I set the channel to the receiver I lost the other receiver signal. In short instead of using the 4 body pack receiver I can only use 2 at the same time. How did you manage to set them the 4 receiver to work at the same time.

    2 questions what if you only had 2 aux outputs from your mixer do you use a y cable to patch it in to aux 1 same as for aux 2 my 2nd question is how long to rechargeable battery last in the body pack

    • @BandOnABudgetNZ
      @BandOnABudgetNZ  Před 3 měsíci

      @@HarryAdee interestingly enough I have had this problem but only when I use a Behringer mixer. If I use my Mackie DL16s I have no issues. Its almost as if when I want to increase volume output from the Aux send from the mixer, the output gain gets distorted or compressed and then is send/affected to the IEMs. Try using a different mixer with better quality pre amps and slightly better build quality.

    • @HarryAdee
      @HarryAdee Před 3 měsíci

      @@BandOnABudgetNZ Exactly. But unfortunately, we only have a Behringer mixer. But we realised that it only happened when we used the phone output. We finally had it fix by using the Aux out.

    • @BandOnABudgetNZ
      @BandOnABudgetNZ  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Good suggestion. I can try and make a video about how to connect these up to a mixer and I'll try to use different types of mixers.
      In short, it all depends on the mixer and which output you want to use but should work with "almost" any mixer. I haven't come across a mixer that couldn't support this

    CAN THIS BE USED AS TALKBACK?

    • @BandOnABudgetNZ
      @BandOnABudgetNZ  Před 4 měsíci

      Yes but Depends on your setup and what your context is? So you want the FOH engineer to talk to you thru a mic from the desk? then yes but he will need to assign their mic to a channel strip and then use an Aux send from that channel strip to send you their talkback/voice
