I love my 239. I carry concealed, but I shoot the Sig really well. A lot of people knock it for the weight, but I like my guns a little heavier and more solid. Less recoil at least.

  • @TheFirearmGuy

I wouldnt say that. A Blocky gun would be a Glock or Springfield. The P2000 is thicker than the P239 although it carries more rounds.

And I definitely plan on joining the family in a few weeks when I pick up that HK 45 compact for my conceal and carry weapon. I then plan on picking up either this HK P2000 or VP9 and then the HK 45. Hey man, how are you? I picked up a P239 used in new condition in .357 Sig. I was interested because the Sig will stand up to high pressure +p loads with no issues and I dig the caliber. I got it for $650 and it is gorgeous. I’m going to have to be on the lookout for mags. Cool gun. I have a VP9 and love it. It is my most accurate polymer gun. P239 has full length rails and is way overbuilt.

Thanks I feel better already (my mind was made up) about committing to a P239. Should go well with my P226. I had to let my G19, gen 4, that I'd installed Big dot night sights, extended match grade barrel (what ever match grade means, not sure it made me a better shot lol) I bought to extend the life of my brass. You already know about Glock barrels ect. Anyway it was the only way I could justify another gun. These choices are tough lol. I hope you trade up to a gun that you like enough to make it all worth while.

I wanted The Sig P 2022 but Sig is not very lefty friendly where as the HK P2000 is completely ambidextrous so I went with the P2000 V2 with the LEM trigger. Just got it two days ago. I love it so far but liked the look of the Sig 2022 better (I know, it’s just looks but it is sexy as hell that 2022). I will tell you that I picked up an aftermarket extended mag release from HK parts and it was less than 20.00 and it makes that mag release so much better and was very easy to install. The paddle style mag release on the newer P30s is still better but no one is manufacturing one for the p2000 that matches the size and shape of the p30 release.
