    CAMPANIA
Campania is one of Italy's richest and most beautiful regions, facing the Tyrrhenian Sea and known worldwide for its scenic pearls such as Naples, Capri, Sorrento, Salerno and the Amalfi Coast.
    Neapolitan pizza
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, pizza originated in Naples and is the result of the skill of pizza makers who work the dough with sourdough and bake the pizzas in a wood-fired oven, resulting in the famous soft and fragrant crust.
    Mozzarella di bufala campana DOP
A symbol of the region, it is made from the milk of buffalo raised in the wild, processed under heat to achieve an unmistakable softness.
    Scialatielli all'amalfitana
Fresh local pasta seasoned with seafood such as cuttlefish, shrimp, mussels and clams, to which the delicious fresh Piennolo tomatoes are added to bring out the full flavor of the seafood.
    Gnocchi alla sorrentina
Classic potato gnocchi, topped with: tomato, basil and stringy mozzarella cheese. They are a unique dish of the Sorrento coast.
    Spaghetti with real clams
A poor condiment made with fresh clams, which bring out their marine flavor.
    Typical desserts of Campania
Sfogliatella Riccia, consists of a crispy shell and a filling made with ricotta and semolina.
Babà al Rum, known for its mushroom shape, is a leavened cake made with flour, eggs, sugar and butter, which after baking is soaked in rum.
Pastiera Napoletana, made with buckwheat, ricotta, sugar and orange blossom flavors.
    Wines and liqueurs
Among the most popular DOC wines are Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio and Taurasi.
Among liqueurs, Limoncello is the best known, with its typical yellow color, made from Amalfi or Sorrento lemon peels.
Coastal lemons, grown on terraces overlooking the sea, are particularly large and fragrant.
The peels are left to macerate for weeks in neutral alcohol and water. Finally, sugar is added to sweeten.
The result is a liquor with a fresh, citrusy flavor that well represents the generous nature of this land. Enjoying it iced is a delicious classic after a meal.
