- Day 13 & 14 thru hiking the Oregon Desert Trail. We continue hiking the Fremont National Recreation Trail through the aftermath of the Cougar Peak fire, which burned over 90,000 acres in 2021. We see many bear prints in this area. After making it through the burn area, we find camp along Fawn Creek. The next day, we hike out of the Fremont National Forest and down to HWY 395, where we hitch into Lakeview to resupply.

Impressive area....thanks for sharing!
Lakeview was a definite score! That burger looked amazing!!
I wish I had footage of the server's reaction when I ask them to make their biggest burger even bigger! Haha
I was the 7th person to finish the ODT. I'm surprised that few have finished. The Owyhee canyon country is challenging. Comparable to sections of the Hayduke
I hiked that section in 2018. The little creek you stopped at was a verdant oasis. Wow. Scorched. Wish you could have seen it before it burned.
Wish I could have seen it that way, too. Glad you were able to see it in it's prime!
That burn you're hiking through looks like it was pretty serious. Burned really hot. Nice hiking once it got green and another great campsite.
Was that a triple cheeseburger? Holy mackerel! Good to see you guys having fun now. 👍
Sure is! I like to ask what their biggest burger is, then ask them to make it bigger :)
@@SeekingLost that's hilarious man, don't think I could finish that thing! But with the right BBQ sauce and a million miles under the belt anything is possible!
@@elevatedarchives All things are possible with hiker hunger!
Scientific studies have found that the most desirable town food is the triple burger!
Is that Unger?
