Where's the Nautilus pullovers??
Dorian did more than one warm up set. He would do several pyramid warm up sets that he didn’t “count” and then did one and sometimes two work sets to failure with either added partials, rest pause, or forced reps on most movements. With his back workout he mostly started with pullovers not pulldowns. I met him 3 weeks after his 3rd Olympia win. He was a guest poser and was 275lbs. He was super nice at his autograph table too.
Might be true at the time you met him, but he trains people with 3 sets…. And if you truly trained like that you would know better than to spread such nonsense
@@andregyamera2718Nope. Dorian did more sets to build up.
That gym must be one big meme, like all of LA trying to do social media lifting in there
Well yeah. It's Bradley Martin's influencer gym.
Dresscode for free entrance = shirtless 😮😂
Couple gyms like that have area special for making stuff and another area where you cant
Dorian always. starts with pullover machine though.
Bro puts so much energy into the “what is up youtube” practically breaks the mic
I went from high volume training to more dorian esque style training. 4-6 sets per muscle group all beyond failure and ive noticed huge strength and size gains with it recently.
Please, yes - more of this style of the two of your test driving training styles. And thank you.
you should do a collab with dorian and go through a workout with him
I SAW YOU ON JULIBEE, I LOVE YOUR PERSONALITY. KEEP IT GOING KING
Dorian did do warm up sets tho
Great video man. Gives me some ideas for my back day.
Glad to hear it!
That Dolph song at the end of the video was awesome!!!!! Rest well Young Dolph..
Bro has Liu Kang goes to LA vibes
Dorian's back workout will wreck your day for sure. I remember doing this workout every back day for years when blood & guts came out. I got strong as 💩 and s pretty swole back as well. Nothing like Dorian or Eric though. Respect awesome video.
I did Blood and Guts workout for a little over a yr and got big and strong as f$&k
Pozele Gym Video Campionilor Eric
Eric, it was awesome to watch you do something that is practically the opposite of how you normally train! Please do a version for pecs/biceps, delts/tris, and legs! That would be amazing!!!
Great video Eric. Love Nile he's funny.
So basically what made Yates, Yates, was that he was insane with his lifting, brings it back to the mindset, those who wanna go the most intense usually are in the top class
Cheers. I’m sure Eric had no idea that Dorian and anyone for that matter should train to failure
These clip mics gotta chill, I can see a comedic skit of like someone with 10 mics on them at this point
Deadlifts last actually makes sense, less load and the back will definitely be the limiting factor, you could even go higher reps cause cardio will be less of a limiting factor
Hey Eric on your next chest video can you go over how you are supposed to be seated on the Low Pulley Seated Crossover? Thanks your videos are AWESOME!!!
Will do
@@ericjanickifitness Thanks you are the best. Been following you since recently and your exercises and advice has taken my training to a new level.
The next video is a dorian yates insane leg day for blood and guts
This training is awesome to watch others to do, I will never train like this~Im too fragile😅~ I'm also eagerly and patiently waiting for a video about how you train your glute~ 😇
Bit off topic, but I saw you on that Jubilee discussion and came here to sub on merit of you being an A+ human alone.
Boss big fan❤️
Only in bodybuilding is it okay for a low level pro to critique and say that a 6x champion trains wrong. That never happens in any other sport, kind of interesting.
Wrong and Optimal are 2 different things, especially when it comes to longevity and injury prevention.
They didn't state that it didn't work for him?
@@Malravenousbe quiet, you’ll awaken his third eye where people learn this crazy thing called nuisance
I think it's also important to note that research in optimal hypertrophy training is constantly evolving. Many bodybuilders today don't train like old school greats did and their longevity and progress is better off for it.
@@Malravenous Sure but in that case your saying that the 6x Mr Olympia didn’t train optimal. So what is optimal and who is the judge of that? A lot of the best bodybuilders train different but got results
“All you” as Eric’s forearms and brachialis are straining to the max, lol 😂.
Bro I love your videos and physique but this isn’t Dorian Yates style training, he doesn’t go to failure he goes beyond failure and the deadlifts he modified to the Yates row
I know all this because he trained me and put me through it many times.
No disrespect bro just letting you know :)
LET'S SEE THAT MIGHTY BACK YATES YEAHHHHHH COME ON THAT'S THE WAY, ONE BY ONE
I still watch some blood and guts before training at least once every couple weeks 😂
If you are alive you are warm.
Correct me if I'm wrong but did Mike Mentzer have any influence on Dorian's training?
I hope your back's all right Eric
i did the Blood & Guts program years ago. a few months, got stronger than any point of my life, got bigger than any point of my life. but it was too taxing to my body and my CNS
When did you get your pro card?
19:36 shocking! Eric gets Zercherpilled. Now we need a collaboration with another Eric😏
dorians blood and guts reps where alot more controlled all through the session, each exercise got more and more sloppy as the session went along
Thank you, Eric! I'm really looking forward to your videos. And hello for Nyle, you are cool! ❤
Thanks for watching!
One thing you get from watching blood and guts and from his description of how he feels the exercises, Dorian had piston form on every single rep of every exercise. Some people just fire perfectly and he was one of them.
I get it everyone has their opinions but when he said Dorian Yates Back workout won’t give you the aesthetic look like bro go look at his back during his prime he’s more aesthetic than all the bodybuilders right now and has a better lat spread that is evenly distributed with a hard granite look while these new guys have a wide back but no aesthetics no granite look they all look soft. To be honest I think someone who doesn’t have an Olympia shouldn’t even be Critiquing a 6 x Mr Olympias workout obviously he did something right maybe that’s what your missing
where is his fav back exercice?
Tom Platz leg workout!!
Bravos Gym
Why's so much swinging in those Db rear flys😅????
Deadlifts at the end. Wtaf. 😂
THIS IS HEAVY DUTY TRAINING OLD SCHOOL IT WORKS THE KEY IS RECOVERY NUTRITION
Nyle is strong if he can lift what you lifted
Decent back workout it's about intensity with Yates workout he jus giving u idea how heavy to go with decent form to failure
Just get Tom Platz to come give ya'll a leg workout kk thanks.
Gettin intimate at 13:54!
I would have been nice if you were able to bring the man himself to put you through the pace of his workout
Dorian. S lower back did not bend as such. He remained fix and more upright
21:35 I would not scoop up with my head on this particular exercise, especially during failure.
Nyle not taking the chance to do the 'threeeeee mooooreeee reeeeeps' seriously disappointed me
Respect România America Eric Gym Campionilor Doryan
Is the last exercise not a barbell RDL?
It is. I don’t think they actually watched the workout video.
u ment *amateur bodybuilder
Honestly that deadlift without touching the ground, should be used more for bodybuilders, hitting the ground is more for weight lifting and powerlifting
It's just a barbell RDL and yeah, way better for bodybuilders as it's eccentric focused
@@bb.buchanan pretty sure RDLs are stiff legged, a deadlift is not stiff legged, so this is a deadlift without hitting the floor
This is true. Its called a Romanian Deadlift.
@@bb.buchanan it's not a RDL, it's a rack pull...without the rack.
Same exact movement as the deadlift but stopping before weights hit the ground. That is not an RDL, you are not focusing on your hams and you are not pushing out your glutes to shift that emphasis on the glutes and hamstrings
@@dj_m1999 semantics mate, I don't really care
Oh oh
I dont know anyone who got injured doing rows,
😢
was your coach Dorian Yates? - LOL
That dude is NOT Dorian Yates bro.
26:15 lolololol he standing there with an injury and didn't warm up as you talk about the injury risks.
Is Nayla high off his rockers on pain killers in this ? Seems like it. Painkillers and caffeine. That's why he could still work out with an injury but looks like he is about to nod off half the time.
if eric trained like this regularly hed be a pro already !!!! This is training !!!
Based on how out of breath you get, prob need some more carbs, more intense cardio, to at least boost your cardio system
Have you seen the size of him? He will ALWAYS be less fit than a smaller guy cos of how much blood his heart has to pump.
I mean it works, but your joints are gonna be powdered after a year of this. You'll get big tho.
The point is not to go extremely heavy, but pick a weight where you can have extremely low rep execution while going to failure at the same time. The weight is not important.
@@SickplayaMif you can only do extremely low reps then your lifting to heavy
@@Liamgane2by “only” doing X amount is how you achieve failure. The point is you fail
I trained this way for years along with powerlifting. Other than my shoulder being injured from a boating accident my joints are just fine. Dorian didn’t train as sloppy as they did here. I don’t think Dorian’s style is optimal and I’ve obviously evolved my own training but you’re not going to ruin your joints as long as you stay within your limits.
A nobody criticizing a Olympia champion, how ironic and ignorant.
You just ruined blood and gots of dorian please go and train with him not try to copy it this much weak
Horrible form on the seated row...too much leg and lower back and no control on the eccentric. Also let the weight stretch your muscles as you remain straight up without bending forward at the hip.
Im not even going to mention the db reverse flys...looked like a beginner and nothing like Yates...
terrible idea :D
at least i know what not to do :D
Eric, you're fine, but don't touch the myths. Dorian has only won six Mr Olympia. And with far fewer products than the average beginner uses to go and be a fool at the beach. Dorian doesn't touch himself.
