"Guide to defeating the Flash"
Step 1: Make sure to start monologuing to distract The Flash from cuffing you at Mach speeds, or just simply snapping your neck
Step 2: When he runs at you even though you shouldn't react in time counter with an average speed attack.
Step 3: When The Flash is down, and probably thinking of another excuse to fuck up the timeline, casually run around a corner, or just fly away, I mean, we haven't seen The Flash fly before, or stop a nuke, he can't possibly be fast enough to just find you, and slap cuffs on, that's ridiculous.
Step 4: Either die conveniently, or get a redemption arch, and then die conveniently.

Can we all agree that Barry is the most inconsistent character ever. One minute he’s fast enough to basically live out an entire day, his time, while a nuke is exploding. The next minute, he’s getting punched by regular ass dudes

@@rationxl2922 Thawne can't kill Barry because Barry needs to look live long enough to generate a Speed Force accessable in Thawne's era. If he dies before he is supposed to, Thawne won't be able to get his powers. (this is in comics) Also in comics, Thane is not stuck, he decides to stay to learn more about Barry and make his life worse.
@@rationxl2922 in the tv show he can't kill him because if he does Eobard never gets inspiration to be like Barry. Also he finds out he can't be like Barry Because there's only one Flash. He creates the Negative speed force which sifons Barry's speed. So no Barry, no red lightning, no tricking the speed force. That is also Why When he killed Nora Allen he got stuck Because Barry is a kid. He doesn't have the Speed force Connection. So Thawne has to keep him alive. Also that is why he wanted the particle accelarator explosion to happen earlyer so he's not stuck

So, my theory here is this:
Reverse Flash is fueled by the Negative Speedforce.
I'm pretty sure the writers said that the Negative speedforce scales always to the Flash or whatever.
But, since there were 2 speedsters present, his speed was technically doubled. That makes it possible for him to do the godspeed ability and keep at a consistent rate of speed with the flash and XS.

@Ibuprofen Music the blue lightning is from moving faster than normal while under the effect of v9. Barry's speed only cured his sickness caused by the speed force's disapproval of him using v9. It didn't make him any faster.
He used the v6 before witch caused the blue lighting, then stole Barry’s speed, then user v7, v8, and v9.
But wouldn’t his lightening go back to normal after stealing Barry’s speed since it was the v9 making his lightning blue ?
It was probably because zoom was already a speedster. Trajectory wasn't. She took v9 and got her powers, zoom already had his so he was dying slower
vlone But remember in Season 2. Jay claims that he took V6 which was making him die. Remember, Trajectory and Zoom both had blue lighting and they both took v9.
btw simple answer to how thawn was able to still outrun them both while being split. His speed force is negative so when he runs close to other speedsters, his speed slowly infects their speed and makes him faster and them slower. It's a temporary effect for while he's close to them. Even if thawn was fighting a speedster 2x his speed he'd sill be able to match him.

What if thawne is that fast because there are two positive speedsters and negative speed force uses the speed force from Barry and nora to power itself so they're like batteries
NSF already feeds off of the SF. Barry and Nora literally don't do anything for him in terms of power.
Why not just slaughter them one by one, when they move 0.5 times of what you do. It would be a slow-mo for him, pretty much
@@kingol4801 If thawne killed Barry he wouldn't have to go through the grief of losing nora and who ever dies in crisis because as we've seen in the past thawne wants to make barry suffer. Plus it could ruin his plans for Barry in the future but that is all my opinion

This explains how Reverse Flash could hurt Harrison Wells in Season 1 as he wouldn’t be fast enough to change clothing and return the same place and be able to fake all that blood

Yeah but it doesn’t make sense. I think the Reverse Flash wasn’t meant to be Harrison Wells but then they made him the Reverse Flash and had to come up with a way in which he could be in two places at once and as the concept of splitting a Speedster in two hadn’t been a thing, they went with a Speed mirage
If you are referring to when he was trapped in the energy field that was already shown to be a hologram of reverse flash.
@@mattcalloway6254 A decent theory, but they already hinted at the fact that Harrison Wells was the Reverse Flash back in the second episode of the very first season when he killed Simon Stagg while standing up on his own two feet, and then again directly a few episodes later where they showed Harrison and the RF suit in the same room talking to Gideon, and that was all before they even caught the hologram RF in the trap. And honestly i didnt like that they revealed the villain's identity in LITERALLY THE SECOND episode but hey its not like we can go back in time and change it ;)

This is a distant future reverse flash though. Maybe that has something to do with how he was able to split his speed in half and still outrun Barry because he isn't linked to this present day Barry's speed

@@-TheCapedCrusader- In 1x09, he was only pretending that the Man in Yellow is beating him up while he, himself was doing the deed. And in 1x15, it was just a hologram of Reverse Flash that Cisco was seeing before Wells killed him.
Dude in 1x09 it was a speed mirage, they even said about that in 5x21. Thawne created it and controlled it all of the time even he beat himself up by it. I'm not talking about that hologram, i'm talking about what Reverse Flash was saying. He can so good controll it that speed mirage can interact with object and even he fought with it with the Flash.

I know this is old considering it's season 1 Episode 9, I never understood when Eobard's speed mirage beat Eobard up, how did team flash never see his speed healing when they were treating him?
Maybe he had some tech that could turn it off
Thawne in season 1 has mastered the speedforce, in pretty sure he can control the speedforce's influence on his stem cells, also his speed was fluctuating

The visual effects for making a time remnant in The Flash shows a speedster opening the speedforce and time travelling really fast. This is so clearly different.

I’m pretty sure the split ability is combination of the comic abilities to 1: share speed and 2: make solid matter out of speed force. So Barry’s half way there with sharing speed now he just has to make a suit out of speed force and then a whole living organism

So if eobard is always vibrating how does he not go through buildings or the street or is he always controlling the speed he’s vibrating at or is he naturally happenings as he is using the negative speed force pls explain

Simple. He's vibrating at a different frequency than air. If you look back to season 1 when Barry first learns how to phase eobard talks about vibrating at the natural frequency of air causing you to phase through solid objects. We've seen countless speedster vibrate their faces before like Barry in season 1 when he sees iris after running up a building for the first time. I guess eobard just does it because Barry doesn't or he just shows off

Great vid. Interestingly, Godspeed wasn’t the first to have this ability in the comics. And he’s DEFINITELY not the ONLY one who could do it. Check Flash One Million back in 98. Wally pulled this trick as a “feat” to please fans in the 853rd century #flashfact 😁
It's also very similar to barts speed scouts, and considerably weaker.
Professor Zoomズーム Riiiiiight! I used to love Bart’s scouts. They were almost like the Shadow Clones from Naruto (no relation). One of the myriad dope abilities that Bart had. Idk but it seems to me that Wally (back then)executed more range and depth with his Flash powers than Barry (current).
Remember in season 4 when Barry's head was wacko and he broke out of the pipeline to save Iris?

Just poppin’ a theory out there... but what if each of the Reverse Flash’s clones draw from the negative speed force separately. Meaning, each clone can be as fast a Barry. It’s not completely improbable for one of the characters with the greatest plot armor. Plus, they’d be saving The Reverse Flash for a much bigger threat since they didn’t use him in Crisis, so giving him this power would definitely make him live up to his reputation. This would make him one of the most annoying speedsters to deal with. Anyway, just wanted to float something out there. It’s the best reason I could come up with that Eobard’s clones would have that much speed.

Barry, Thawne, and Zoom all run at the same speed. Thawne is the same speed as Barry but all of the speedsters all run at the same speed but run in a different way. They explained that in season 2

I think the reason RF is faster than Barry and Nora in the scenes because RF was locked in prison for another 15 years after crisis on Earth X right so that could gave him time to train and get faster or something with his mental state and make him faster than Barry and Nora right

If anyone is wondering why Barry even tho he’s super fast can’t go faster but is equal to thawne is because thawne has the negative speed force which siphons off the normal speed force so every time they run he’s siphoning off Barry’s speed force always making them equals
well if you think about it if rf was able to go back merely milliseconds in nora's version of time travel he would avoid time wraths and would have another version of himself to run along side, then he could merge at the end of the fight by simply speeding time up the slight millisecond and then be one again.

Eobard could always be using tachyon's to boost his speed (some device in his suit / charging his suit with them as we saw before) so if he split himself by going fast enough, it probably wouldn't split the tachyon speed boost as that'd be duplicated so he'd run slower but the tachyon boost would still be there. That's probably how he's still going rather fast.

I brought this up in a livestream someone was having after the finale. They said I was wrong and that it was just a speed mirage, which annoyed me because both Thawnes made contact with Nora and Barry. Thanks for proving I was right!

Eobard actually IS faster than Barry. Yes they’re destined to have the same speed everytime, but in season 3 Barry removed is tachyon enhancement while Eobard still uses it. Kinda cheating it but Reverse-Flash is known for getting dirty

I would like to mention something that’s a part of the show and I think in the comics but unsure. Barry a lot of the time RUNS REALLLYYYY FAST when he’s emotional such as the phenomenal “Enter Flashtime” episode it was really good he was emotional he didn’t want everyone he loved to die so he pushed himself. But, he wants to stay at a good speed so he isn’t tired out always like you said before he stayed next to Nora who is slower than him to protect her from Zoom. So I’m just assuming he was going at a slower speed just because he didn’t want to waste energy and him and Nora were close to each other during the race so he wanted to be nearby.

I'm pretty sure that the speed mirage from the TV show and Godspeed's "being in two places at once" are actually the same thing. Both of them end up with you having half as much speed as you normally would.
Can we talk about how when Barry was in flash time he dropped a marker and it just fell to the floor like how it would normally do if it was normal time. Shouldn’t it just being flying sense he’s moving fast?
either thawn is taking speed from both nora and barry indepdently to adjust to each's speed. or it's using the trick but doesn't have the split drawback. Or one is using the speed force and the other the negative speed.

From what I understand, Eobard isn’t as fast as our Barry, he is as fast as future Barry, so basically faster than our Barry
I still think it is a speed mirage because at the end when he becomes one again you can see a blur in between him which means we was prob running and creating a speed mirage
