  • The best way to improve the offroad capabilities of your Sur-Ron X or Segway X260 is to fix the suspension. Instead of spending thousands of dollars replacing your fork and shock, a cheaper option is to get the fork and shock serviced by Dirtlabs Suspension.

The best attribute to the Sur-Ron X and Segway X260 electric Dirt E bike is it's affordability. It's currently the cheapest electric dirt bike available and these e-bikes have a low cost because they do not come equipped with expensive components.
We all want our bikes to perform well, but adding thousands of dollars worth of high end components defeats the purpose of buying a cheap bike.
One of the best modifications you can do to your Sur-Ron X or Segway X260 is improve the suspension. Most of these bikes come equipped with a DNM Volcano fork and DNM shock and in stock form are not the best option for riding offroad. On the flip side, replacing these suspension components with high end suspension brands like Fox, Rockshox, Ohlins and DVO would cost a couple thousand dollars.
If you're wanting to improve the offroad handling of your Sur-Ron or Segway without spending thousands of dollars, Dirtlabs Suspension can revalve and overhaul your fork and shock to improve it's off-road capabilities. They revalve the fork, make the damper progressively stiffer and replace with high quality oil and seals. Learn more by contacting Dirtlabs here: bit.ly/Dirtlabs

Hi, Thank you for this video. From what I am seeing as far as the Sur Ron X, is that everyone is taking a cool little and affordable e-dirt bike and trying to make it into a KTM free ride. As an ex-SX/MX racer, now older wanting a fun bike for single track, whoops, and trails around our farm without scaring the horses or ticking off the neighbors, too much. Being able to have a decent bike without spending more after the purchase of the bike, on accessories and extras, that are for someone wanting to send it.

Normally a huge fan of this guy, especially the first video but this one, not so much. It’s a friggen commercial. You want to improve your suspension? You replace it. Jade in the rear + plus the 550lbs DNM spring and replace the front. I’ve even been lucky enough to snag a titanium spring in back which was not cheap, but is incredibly light. Total cost for my used Jade and DNM 550 spring was $350. The cheaper DNM 550 spring is only $50 and Is a huge improvement. That’s not a lot of $ considering the cost of the bike. The front fork is just ok, but there is no other option other than replacement for true any real improvement. This video doesn’t address the elephant in the room with the forks - does the service magically make the stanchions 38’s or 40s? The DNMs would be ok if they were adjustable, but they are not designed to sustain the weight of this bike over the long term for hard riding. Anyone who has them knows the stock adjustments don’t do anything. You don’t need a service to improve them either. People have been buying the inners off eBay. If the intent of this video was to help people save money, it would be telling you what to buy yourself. There’s no need for this service because the majority of the work is in removal/installation which you still have to do yourself.

@Troy Muni Hey Troy, Thanks for the note. Yes. The intent of the video is to help people save money and is not the last video I have planned for showing cheaper suspension options. It's great to hear you've found a solution for your bike. Buying used suspension on ebay may work for some but it isn't always straight forward and affordable. I'm showing that alternative options exist and there are ways to make the stock equipment better.
