I come from Ben Tre, known as a land of the Coconut. It’s located in the area of Southern Vietnam. Ben Tre is famous for coconut candies, coconut handicraft products as well as tropical fruit orchards. I’ve lived there for about 18 years since I started unversity. Ben Tre is a sleepy place with the fresh air and the green space to relax. It’s small enough that you can get to know your neighbours and have a sense of community. Moreover, the cost of living is quite low, to be honest. I think that’s why I love living in Ben Tre. But sometimes I find it a bit boring because there’s not much nightlife. Ben Tre hasn’t changed much in the last ten years, although there are certainly more and more tourists these days.

The city is called as kingdom of king Bhupinder Singh and city is famous for production of fulkari. However it’s a very bustling city. It’s got a very beautiful and happening culture. It’s a city with lots of energy. Only problem we face that winter can be a seriously cold. The city is almost unrecognisable in last many years. It’s expanded so much physically and economically.

The city has grown drastically due to its commercial value. People come to work here from all over the country. I like to live here because there’s always something going on. Nightlife is quite good and the food streets are open overnight. I think I will not feel relax staying out of my Home city.

As I’ve been living here in Venice for many years, I consider it as my hometown. It is a floating city situated in the north of Italy and known for its extraordinary arts and architecture, as well as the quaint maze canals linked by bridges.
This romantic city is a Unesco world heritage sites that comprises its lagoon, its islands and the S-shaped Grand Canal overlooked by elegand palaces. Famous attractions are the largest square, St. Mark’s square, the Doge’s Palace and other historic buildings.
Living in Venice really suits me. It feels like I’m living in an ancient time with its facinating churches and art galleries. It’s got such a rich culture and has a sense of history. This is the only city on Earth where tourists can use a boat instead of car where they can take a picture while admiring the breathtaking view.
As a touristic city, the cost of living is high. That can be quite stressful because you’re always thinking about money and how to make ends meet. Humid can be an issue in particularly in the summer and cabln be exhausting to live.
You can get to meet other people from different countries but it’s a bit tough to find real friends because tourists just come and leave.
Venice has changed a lot in the past few years. It’s much less tourists than it used to be due to the outbreak of Covid-19. Most of the establishments are close in this period as well as restaurants and big hotels.
However, the floating city is still there. It will soon back to normal.

I live in Thai Binh Province, which is a small province lying by the sea of Vietnam .My province is the one of the most beautiful places to pay a visit. There are many green large rice fields that are the most attractive points. If you come to Vietnam and make your own to Thai Binh, you will be surprised with food at there. Thai Binh cuisine is very delicious and tasty. You also feel happy and satisfied by the hospitality of the people living in Thai Binh. The atmosphere is very peaceful and the air is extremely fresh , so you can let your hair down when you come there. On the other hand, there are two disadvantages. The number one drawback in Thai Binh province is the disadvantagous traffic system. But that negative point is being improved . The other is that our province is a little bit sleepy. We don't have many activities to take part in. But, in conclusion, Thai Binh is the ideal place for you to travel.

I live in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This amazing city is between the mountains and sea. I like this city because it has a beautiful blue sky, warm climate and we can see the nature almost every neighborhood. There are many landscapes and the most incredible are Christ the Redeemer, Botanical Garden and the beaches like Barra, Copacabana and Ipanema, however I could make a list with other landmarks include the Tijuca Forest (Tijuca National Park) and their waterfalls. Rio de Janeiro changes a lot last twenty years and this wasn’t good, in my opinion, because it grew up disorganized. Today it is crowded and the public transport don’t operate perfectly. Rio de Janeiro is an incredible city to visit but doesn’t live.

I was born and grew up in a small village in Phu Tho province located in Northern Vietnam. I really like living in Phu Tho because of its beauty. It's surrounded by many mountains and fields. If you need a break, it can easily drive to the moutains nearby and find a quite place to relax. It's also small enough that you can get to know your neighbours and have a sense of community. People here are so kind and helpful. They're willing to help others whenever someone has trouble so I feel like I'm living in a big family. Phu Tho's nice but I find it a bit boring. There aren't many places to go as well as not much nightlife, sometimes I feel a bit cut off from the wider life. In fact, it doesn't suit the young to live. In addition, it's seriously cold in winter.
My hometown has changed a lot compared to 20 or 30 years ago. There are more high buildings, factories, schools, and so on instead of rivers and moutains. You can't imagine when you see some old photos of my hometown. Things are so different!

I was born and grew up in Bien Hoa city, one of the biggest industry cities in Vietnam. The city has changed so much in the last twenty years because there were many industries built up and foreign companies invested in. This has attracted huge amount of labor from around the country. Unfortunately, this has caused many problems such as air and water pollution, traffic jam and high living cost. The only real advantage is to have many jobs. It’s not hard to find suitable jobs. And the special thing when mention to Bien Hoa is that there are many beautiful churches. My parents, my sisters and brothers and my family have been living here and All are catholic. I live in Marrakech, the touristic capital of Morroco. It's famous for it's landmarks, such as mosque Koutoubia, Jamaa Lafna or the old city. It's also known for its popular folklore, of course! I've been living there since I retired for about two years. Living in Marrakech suits me, because a healthy climate, many activities where I can spend time and have fun. Marrakech is a bit stressful by the high cost of living, but I always find how to make ends meet. Marrakech has changed a lot in the last thirty years. Though the soul of the city is conserved, it has expanded so much. All the houses of the city became huge buildings. Now the it's more international, more expensive, but lovely.

I've been living here for about 2 years. It's famous for its wild beauty and cafe. Many locals say that cafe must be drunk in the early morning is correct to 'Pleiku's style'. It's also well-known as a rich culture. There are many nationalities here, especially ethnic groups. I really love living in Pleiku because it's a peaceful and tranquil city. If you need a break, you can drive to the mountains and find a quite place to relax. The only downside of Pleiku is the summer can be serious hot! Pleiku has not changed a lot in the last 10 years. There are more people from many part of the country moving to live here. For me, Pleiku is always a big place in my heart. It makes me feel a sense of belonging.

Also it has the most famous library in the world Alexandria library. People come to it from all the world to visit its ancient places. It is a really fantastic bustling city which full of energy, movement and fun 24 hours per day.
I've been living in it for 15 years. I really excited the sea and used to go to the beach once a week since I was young but unfortunately now I can't go as I'm busy all the time in my work. The only disadvantage of Alexandria is the crowded roads especially in the summer when people out to the beaches, the traffic become very stressful so the quality of air can be an issue . Alexandria has been changed a lot in the last 20 years, it became completely different, many natural places have been replaced by buildings, concrete expanded everywhere surround us , I'm really sad by what it looks nowadays and desire all the time if it back to its interesting old look which I used to see in my photos.

I was born and grew up in Can Tho, one of the fifth city under the Central authorities. Can Tho is located in the Southwest of Vietnam.
Although Can Tho is not as big and crowded as other cities in Vietnam, but it is the most beautiful and meaningful in my mind.
Can Tho attracts tourist around the world by its beautiful river, fruitful orchards and the friendliness and hospitality of the people in this city. It is famous for Cai Rang floating market, rice paper making village, Ninh Kieu Wharf, Can Tho Bridge-the longest cable stayed bridge in South East Asia and many many beautiful places.
The advantages of living in Can Tho are the range of things to do, such as cultural and social activities, and the beautiful parks and river.
However I need to go somewhere to build my career because there are a few career opportunities here, that’s why I am working in Ho Chi Minh city now.
Can Tho changed quite a lot in the last 20 years, more and more factories grown up. I think it is developing in a good way.
Can Tho has always had an important place in me. No matter where I go, I always still remember it.

It's also well known for its green tea, what we call dragon well tea, and food, of course. I was born and brought up here so I have lived here all my life. On top of that, it has many beautiful places with natural scenery, so you can easily find somewhere to escape the hustle and bustle and relax. The only downside is that the traffic is extremely busy especially during the rush hours. Air quality can also be an issue particularly in winters. Hangzhou has changed quite a lot as a place in the last 20 years or so. It has expanded tremendously both physically and economically. In the spring, Huong Son become a place extremely bustling because people from over the country come here to attend Huong Pagoda Festival. The rest of seasons in year, my hometown is a sleepy place, air quality is so good, there are a lot of green tree, people is really hard and friendly. Ho Chi Minh city ’s an exciting place, but it’s really crowded and it can be sometimes stressful to live there. Traffic jams and air pollution are issues make me exhausted, particularly during rush hours.
Ho Chi Minh city is the economic center of Vietnam, so it's developed rapidly. It's almost unrecognizable compared to twenty or thirty years ago. The city has expanded so much, both physically and economically. It’s amazing when you see old photos of the city; things are so different now! There are certainly more and more tourists these days! It's so great and I love it.

Hi Hoàng, thanks for a good answer. Here are some corrections for you:
      1) Capitalize 'Ho Chi Minh City' because 'city' is part of the name.
      2) Don't capitalize 'southeast'. Also, it's one word.
      3) 'It can sometimes be stressful,' not, 'it can be sometimes stressful'.
      Hope that helps!

I live in Anand. It's a small city. It's actually located at the centre of the state Gujarat. It's famous for its landmarks such as Amul Dairy and swaminarayan temple. I have been living here for about 15 years. I really like Anand. Because it's a real 24 hours city with lots of energy and there is so much to do. On top of that it has many beautiful places with natural scenery. So you can easily find somewhere to escape the hustle and bustle and relax. The only real disadvantage is that the traffic is extremely busy especially during the rush hours.
    Replay it's right.

#1 I live in St. Petersburg. It's the second largest city in Russia, and it's a beautiful place to live. I've lived here all my life and I can't imagine living anywhere else! It has such a rich culture, I think partly because the city's history is a mix of Europeans and Russian influences. I think that's why I like it here-It's a unique place. Traffic can be an issue in the city centre, but public transport is very good. The city hasn't changed much in the last twenty years, although there are certainly more and more tourists these days.
#2 I'm from Denver, the capital of Colorado. It'#s near the Rocky Mountains, so there surrounding area is quite beautiful. I've been living here for about three years. I really like Denver because it's a young city with lots of energy, but if you need a break it's easy to drive to the mountains and find a quiet place to relax. The only real disadvantage is that winter can be seriously cold! Denver'#s changes quite a lot in the last twenty years- many people are moving here to work. Unfortunately, the cost o living has also gone up quite a lot.

Nice answer about your city. Here are some things to think about:
      1) Use the adjective 'neighboring' here, 'The city is close to two neighboring countries...'.
      2) The 'cost of living' not 'living cost'.
      3) '...is not very expensive', not, 'much'.

This is my practice : I live in a small town. It's called An Lac Thon which is one of the smallest towns in Soc Trang city. It's quiet peaceful and fresh. I always walk along the river to relax when i feel stressful after a hard day. It's a beatutiful to live . I have been living since i was 6 years old. Besides, it's also famous for long traditional learning. Most of students are very studious and hard work because they want to develop the town to become a city. Despite the smallest town, it's always one of the best schools in Soc Trang city. Moreover, it's also well-known for Pia cake. Another great thing, people here are friendly and helpful. They always help to each other when they have the problem. You will feel comfortable and happy because they are willing tp guide you or introduce you to a place that you have never seen. However, the thing i dislike the most is that the weather is extremely hot. Even though, the temperature has also gone up 40 degrees in the summer. To sum up, i really enjoy living it. I hope that it will become a place where actracts many tourists to learn this beautiful tradition

Hi! I'm learning English with you since a lot of month now. I really like your videos.Your lessons are very interesting, thank you! Below my exercice :
Folligny is a small village in Normandy. It’s a quiet place in the countryside and it’s near the Mont-Saint Michel, so the surrounding area is quite beautiful and you can easely drive to beaches to relax. I realy like living in Folligny because it’s a quiet place. It’s small enough that my children can bike or walk safety to the playground. But there is no school in the village, it can be a issue for no car families. Folligny has changed a lot since the 2WW. The train station was a strategic place and it was bombed and destroyed three times during the war. The population is aging and many young people are moving here to live but they work and do shopping in the larger cities nearby, so there is no grocery in the village. If you live in Folligny you need a car like many villages in France.

I live in Istanbul. It is modt crowded city in Turkey and it's a megacity. There are lots of people that are from foreign cities and cultures. I have been living here since I came to university. It is about ten years. I was living in a town when I was a child. But when I came to here I realized that how is living in a big city. Lots of people, huge buildings and complicated public transports. I have growded here with learning lots of things like these. I love this city because Istanbul is a very touristical and historical place. This city has hosted so many communities for centruies. They have left lots of landmarks up to now. You can visit these places and feel the history. There are some nagative things maybe. For examplw traffic is an issue. And nowadays the reguees are a big problem too. They moved here to live. Some of them can be dangerous. Sometimes we cannot feel in safe. This city hasn't changed much in the lst ten years. Only there are more people than it used to be. As a result of this point the cost of living is really high recently.
