As a phD student, I feel very very nervous and afraid because I should show a presentation about my project to English speaking teachers after serveral weeks later. To me, it feels like disaster. It was a useful video, and it´s definitely helped me out to sound more confident, so thank you very much for that.
About my advice to help people sound more confident, I´d like to tell you the following:
1. Study the phonemic chart closely and understand the difference between British, American and Australian phonemes.
2. Practice at least once a day, one specific tongue twister by every phoneme.
3. Try to repeat audio books or audio poetry, and record yourself at the same time.
In my view, it is important because the majority of English learners do not understand the difference between graphemes and phonemes. Because of this, they are able to read and write, but can´t speak properly.
I hope it´ll be useful.

My advice to be confident in English is you should develop your main skill or knowledge in order you are interesting to others, then the people want to communicate with you regardless whatever your English is. So speaking gradually you will develop your English. But there is one thing your mistakes might become bad habits like it happened in my case. And now I'am trying correcting them.
