    On my 2020 FXST, the stock intake manifold started to leak before 10k miles. All the up to 14k miles, I had an exhaust pop on decel that kept getting worse and worse. Couldn't figure it out for the life of me. Finally checked the intake manifold, and boy was it leaking!

    I agree. The aluminum manifold should be stock. The plastic manifold on my 2019 Heritage 114 developed a crack at only 1500 miles resulting in an idle speed of nearly 2000 RPM. I was fully repaired under warranty. I’m not sure with the aluminum or just another plastic one. I should know this.

    Hey Doc. I own a 2020 Breakout with 294 miles on it and I am concerned about a decrease in power and what has become an increasing loud front cylinder knock. Could this be related to the oil pressure not reaching the front pushrods/rockers? It has become so loud that its annoying.

    • @LowCountryHarleyDavidson
      @LowCountryHarleyDavidson  Před 3 lety +4

      Yes. You can switch manifolds. We have installed a few without modifying the mapping. Harley-Davidson does say it will preform 2-4% better and suggest tuning. But your ECM has the ability to adjust that much. The aluminum manifold is one of the best improvements for your Harley-Davidson. Thanks ~ Doc

      I have found on the net, bad news is posted more often than good news. Adding more power to any motor can find a weak part. The compensator in you bike is a good design. I have seen a M8 compensator part brake. Is it common? No. This part of the powertrain handles a lot of stress in daily driving and holds up in
      a few performance competition venues. Until there is a PROVEN better-long lasting design. I will stay with HD. Thanks ~ Doc

      In theory you should not need the Hardware kit but I always order it just in case. you never know if an o-ring will tear. P.s.

      First, I apologize. I receive so many questions I do not remember your first.
      As for injectors. Larger injectors must be in future performance plans not just a substitute.
      My observation and opinion. Most larger injectors have less number of holes but larger. I stay with stock with 6 holes and better pattern and efficiency as long as I can. The build will dictate what’s needed.
      Do your research on cleaner. Be vigilant on the correct amount to use….Doc
