Good Instructional video. Better than reading and trying to follow the printed instructions that come with the lock. Don't know if this was mentioned before or not but the only thing I nearly screwed up royally on was measuring and marking the spindle. Your video plainly shows the spindle inserted into the door with proper orientation but was not vocally mentioned for this step. If it is cut measured from the wrong end, you're in trouble as you just lost your threaded end for the spindle bolt. This important part was not pointed out vocally. I did catch this before I cut the spindle, steel wool removed the earlier markings where I started that step over again. Other than that, this is an excellent video. Thank you so much for posting... Very easy to follow.
Don't know if you're still looking. They are on Amazon for $389 + shipping. I discovered them about a year ago but there was no stock anywhere. Secureram offered to notify me when they came back in stock, but didn't. I just stumbled across them on Amazon.
The latest lock comes with different screws. I also found the screws that come out of the lock are too short to be used with the tamper pin retaining plate. I wish they still had the top dial LED.
@@securam All I can tell you that I received only one brass colored screw, used to secure the spindle. There were four silver colored screws sized to fit the base to the safe exterior wall. There were three screws to secure the lock housing to the interior wall. It was easy enough to figure out, just different than the video at 4:28. The QC date on my unit was 2022-3-24.
My drain dead every month since purchase with my safe. I got a replacement because of warranty and it is doing the same. Lucky I can use manual combination features. I use Duracell 9v.
I just bout a Cannon Shield series with an NL digital lock. I am eager to purchase your lock to replace the NL. Do you happen to know if it will work?. Thank you for your time.
Hi there. It would be best to send us a photo of the lock and boltwork inside the back panel of the door. Please send photo of lock in the locked and unlocked position. Please send to info@securamsys.com
@@Securamsys I sent a message, but there wasnt a place to attach the photos. I look forward to the reply so that I can make that possible. Thank you for your time.
Very interesting lock - is there a compatibility list available? I would love to install this in my german-made Burg Wächter Ranger A7, do you happen to know if that would work?
Thanks for your comment. The SafeLogic Xtreme is a standard footprint safe lock. Provided your safe is fitted with a standard footprint safe lock, you should be fine. If you would like to take a photo of your safe lock body (inside the safe) we would be happy to help determine its compatibility. Please send photo to info@securamsys.com
I am about to buy a AMSEC CF5524 TL-30 rated safe. This safe goes with U.L. Listed Type 1 Electric lock and Group 2M Mechanical lock. Does SafeLogic Xtreme met these specifications since it is dual combo lock. I don’t find any information related to U.L. specifications in the Product description. Appreciate your response on this..!
Hi James - There is no real-life test that simulates a catastrophic EMP attack. In the event of a castrophic EMP attack, all electronics would be rendered defunct. The only truly EMP-proof lock is a mechanical lock - one that uses no electronic components to open. Our lock is truly EMP-Proof because it is a mechanical lock. In electronic mode, it is an electronic lock, but in mechanical mode no electronics are used to open the lock. Therefore while a catastrophic EMP attack could/would affect the electronic operation mode, the mechanical mode would be unaffected.
Hi @@tristanjohnson9773 - there is a military test for EMC (MIL-STD-461G) not EMP. We have completed the military test for EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) which is MIL-STD-461G with our standard electronic safe locks and we pass this test successfully. We therefore state that our standard electronic safe locks pass the MIL-STD-461G test and are resistant to electromagnetic energy, but the only truly EMP proof locks are mechanical or redundant locks.
@@tristanjohnson9773 That is true to some extent... I bought a EMP shield device for my car that states these military tests are used to validate their product. I will know for sure if we ever have a catastrophic event... until then?

Yea, I caught that too. I watched the entire video beforehand and knew to cut off the end without the tapped hole.
Tell me Sir, is the key pad-spindle back plate thats mounted on door, is it plastic or metal..?
Where did you buy the extrema lock kit and what was the cost? Great video, thanks. Oh, do you use, or is, loctite recommended?

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE! Now I've got another thing to put on my Must Have List. Excellent video!
WELL DONE!!!
Will this work on a Liberty Franklin safe with a rotary dial? Thanks
The most secure feature of the door is the lock ! I wouldn’t install such a quality lock on a cheap safe which can be easily pried open.

Hi Phrede - we have not changed the screw types for the SafeLogic Xtreme.

What is the small button cell in the dial ring assembly for?
It was for the top dial LED but the new locks do not have it.
Will it work on Browning safe.! It has a SG on it.!!!
