How to crack a combination lock for key safe, this method should work for suit cases as well

- In this video I will show how to crack open a combination lock. This method should work for most lock used in key safes and suit cases.
Some earlier combination locks used to have a line that you can see through the gaps. If you can see the line then all you have to do is line up all the lines and you won't need the paper and pencil.

Omg I watched three other lock picking videos before this, and yours was the one which helped me the most. Understanding how there's a flat surface on a barrel and how the combination numbers afterwards needed to be facing the inside of the lockbox. Thank you! You just saved me having to angle grind my lockbox off a wall!!!

Absolutely works. Friend of ours has forgot it for years and I’ve tried random things eventually found this and 10mins later it worked! A leaflet worked well and mark the line. Genius, thank you

Can't thank you enough for this Ken. Just bought a house with one of these same key safes on the wall, previous owners had no idea of the code. It was seriously annoying! 90 seconds with a piece of plastic cut from a box of grapes and it was open. The 'spin for 5 digits' technique worked. Fantastic.

This is the best tutorial that I've tried and could successfully crack the codes for the brand new lockboxes which my husband had forgotten 13yrs ago. I've seen and tried the other aluminum pin ones , didn't work and so hard to sense the click point. This method is far better and simple. Thanks for sharing!

I tried to use my key safe yesterday and it wouldn't work so I thought I had forgotten the combination and your video really helped me to work out that it wasn't my memory LoL - it turned out that some water had gotten into the mechanism over the winter so I cleaned it all out and lubricated it.

Brilliant Job. This is an excellent video with clear instructions and reasons given for why this part of the instruction is being completed. We had a lock in a communal area on a cupboard where the code had been changed and no one knew the new code. Having tried the shim method without success I tried this and got the lock open in minutes. Make sure you mark the paper with a good pencil line so the flat part of the rod is then obvious when the paper goes in deeper and the line disappears. Do this with each of the four rows then rotate each through 180 degrees and hey presto! Thank you Ken Kanfix for such a lucid guide!

Mate, these master lock key safes are shite. Criminals have known it before this video, seriously. You should have bought something better, like Supra C500 Pro KeySafe™

I have just bought a large, heavy, safe for my valuables. Although the combination dial is not working, I plan to try and fix it after watching another video explaining how to do that, hopefully. So, this video is of no immediate help right now, but I just wanted to thank you for explaining this excellent method of doing so on another type of combination lock, should I ever come across that problem. Well done.
I have only *Ever* used a sliver of spring steel or something at least metallic but this truly affective!
As long as the strip of thin card / plastic fits without buckling, it will work. Once the Flats have been found on the *Front* numbers, 5 turns on each cylinder, with the dial rotating *Downwards* will find and open the lock. Many thanks for this!

I work security and i swear, they generally do everything except try to pick the lock. We've had holes cut into roll up doors and one time someone sledgehammer all the way around a door frame to get in. I don't understand why they never just try to pick it or at least aim for obvious weak spots but I swear, most of them are dumb as hell
Thank you for posting this video. I couldn't get into my key safe box. I thought I knew the code, but didn't seem to work, so assumed I must have changed it. Trying this method confirmed what the code was. It was in fact what I thought it was, and turned out the rocker switch to open it had got stiff and stuck. With a bit of force it did then open.
Had a key safe that had 2 flat sides on the panes, so it has been a little harder to crack it but this was useful.
I've wathced a few vidieos on this topic and none let me succeed until now. Excellent explaination! Thanks
YES!!!! I'm not going to say what I really said when my lock opened but this crap worked!!!!! I almost passed out when I saw what my combo was. I never would have remembered it. At first I thought it wasn't going to work then I heard you say turn it 5 times. I had to turn mine 5 times. This is a life saver. Now I'm about to try the other one that I threw to the side and bought another one. If this works on this one I'll have TWO. I can't say Thank You enough.
Update: I couldn't get the other open😔 but 1 out of 2 is good enough for me. I'll keep working

Absolute bloody legend. Dude I work with accidentally reset the key lock box for the air bnb we're staying at, so been contemplating fixing this issue before the house goes back to the owner. Now I'm deliberating whether I tell the other guys or not.
What type of paper did you use
Thanks a lot man, took me around 3 minutes to get mine open. I used a thin sheet of aluminium from a coke can, that worked really well.
A feeler gauge should work a lot better than the paper... Gonna try this!
Worked a treat for me, I didn't use paper but a sliver of thin white plastic cut from one of those microwave meal containers, excellent vid
got this to work, just had one dial where it could've been one or the other so had to use the other. also, the one i had was a lot tighter than this so i had to use a sticky note. thanks!
Oh Ken mate your a diamond, I’ve been trying to break into this safe for the last 3 hours, we’ve now got the gold and goodies and we’re now on the road running from the police with our stripy shirts on and balaclavas and our bags over our shoulders with swag writen on them. Thanks for the advice 😂🎉

Totally saved my life after I accidentally closed my key lockbox before I was finished setting the code. Thank you so much. I tried several other instructions that didn’t work at all, this took me 2 tries and under 10 mins.
Although, this does make me wonder why we even bother using them, when they’re so easily defeated by paper scraps and a pencil. Lol.

The only tool I used instead of paper is Coca-Cola can . I cut the strip from the can the same size as showed on the video and it brings me to find a gap quicker then the paper 😉
