- I would like to talk about a particular scene that instantly became my favourite out of all the Ghibli movies I watched. I guess I could describe this scene as Ghibli-esque in the sense that, even though it was not located in a fantasy world, it brought out feelings of wonder, excitement, and joy - a combination of feelings that I rarely get from watching anything.
I am talking about the scene in Whisper of the Heart where Shizuku was singing Country Roads and Seiji was accompanying her by playing his violin. Allow me to expound more in this video essay. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Whisper of the Heart was so much better than I ever expected. I always underestimate the Ghibli movies that don't have a fantasy element (like Only Yesterday or When Marnie was There) but then they end up hitting me the hardest.
I feel the same way! I think it's because we can relate more to the stories and characters of those films. Only Yesterday was a great one.
I’ve always found the train scene to be terribly depressing. But Whisper of the heart’s music scene is so beautiful.
All I wanted going into Whisper of the Heart was something I could lightly enjoy. And I got a masterpiece of a movie.
I had the same experience!
So beautiful!!!
Hey man, just a random viewer giving some feedback: it feels like you're reading from a script.
It is not a problem.
But if you wanna read two or three times before recording it will feel much more natural. We want to feel your emotions on your voice as well.
Gotcha. Thanks for letting me know. I'm always happy to get feedbacks to produce better videos.
I totally agree!
Thank you! What other Ghibli films do you have in mind?
A lot of studio Ghibli fans don't know about it but if you haven't already I would 100% recommend you check out the original manga for Nausicaa of the Valley of the wind
Yeah, I read about that back then. Is it good?
@@johnplaydown1975 It is very good and expands a lot on the already good plot of the movie, its great because it is one of the longest Hayao Miyazaki stories so you can really see how much better his storywriting is compared to normal stuff
