Now all we need is Tales Of The Bounty Hunters so we can get the unaired arc of The Clone Wars w/ Cad Bane and Boba Fett to be official Star Wars canon and show finished animation of Boba Fett in his iconic green Mando armor in the animation style of The Clone Wars. We need that story made. Doing it in anthology series akin to Tales of the Jedi and Tales of the Empire is the best way to do it.

The idea of Barriss recognizing Anakin is a chilling one. The man who humbled you and destroyed your whole world being in charge of your only escape from your life of prison... I mean I cant imagine the fear she had when vader walked in. SO GOOD

I feel like that is what gonna happen later on. Barriss recognises Anakin and tries to kill him but gets killed instead. She realizes that maybe the dark side is not really as she thought and has a change of heart.

I really love this animation style. It has a high degree of realism; I can easily imagine the ships, droids, and props becoming real, tangible things. The stylization for the people makes sure they stay WELL outside of the uncanny valley, and really highlights the quality of the modeling and texturing they can do.
Seeing post prequel era characters and ships in clone wars animation is something I’ve been wanting to see for literal years. Very excited about this and the wait isn’t even that long.

I just wish that they did not redesign returning characters in Rebels. Outside of the lightsabers, the artstyle wasn’t so different that a Clone Wars animation model would look out of place next to a Rebels model, but instead we have the nightmare that is Rebels Yoda.

Now that we know the title changes with each "season" we could see Tales of the Old Republic, Tales of the Bounty Hunters, Tales of the Sith, Tales of the High Republic (gimme Dagan in TCW style), etc.
I am looking forward to see the tales of the old republic it will be awesome.
If we get Tales of the Sith, it needs to include Darth Bane and Darth Zannah. Wouldn't mind getting tales of the Chiss with focus on Thrawn and maybe Eli Vanto as he ended being sent to the Chiss Ascendancy
Honestly, they just need to make the rest of the Star Wars stories with this animation. I know people want live action. But I feel like you can do so much more within storytelling with this animation. All the characters look so good. And the settings are so cool looking.
Agreed. Never complaining about how someone looks ( which pulls me out of it) bad fight scenes (which pulls me out) scenery, music, lighting etc etc
Agreed! I know that animation can be super expensive at times. But it’s clear that animation allows for better action as well as clone wars S7/ Bad batch having already shown us that the storytelling can be JUST as deep and sophisticated, if not MORE
I understand being tired of Clone Wars content, but tbh, I will NEVER get enough of it. And I will always want more “Clone Wars Style” animation, Tales and Bad Batch have been a dream come true

I'm SO excited for the Barris episodes; I've wondered and waited so long. I always felt for Barris, she was misguided but meant well. I hope she finds peace.
It's kinda concerning that the villains these days are way more interesting than any of the heroes, really. This looks more interesting than Tales of the Jedi, and the Tantiss episodes of BB are way more interesting than the Bad Batch themselves. Guess I'll enjoy what I can
I bet thats at least partly corporate interference, Disneys gotta have all their marketable protagonists be brand safe.
Crosshairs is really the only one of the BB that have any depth to him, the rest are pretty one dimensional.

@@EnigmaticGentleman It wouldn't surprise me if Feloni has been told not to kill off certain characters but it's starting to get annoying how no one in Star Wars seems to stay dead. While they did really flesh out Maul ressurecting him was the start of a really bad trend.

Why waste all the cool plots on stuff less people watch? The Maul plot being wasted in animation is why Obi-Wan Kenobi show was so terrible.

Animation gives a way to show star wars stories at a fraction of the cost / time.
I will wager that season 3, if created, will likely be called "Tales of the Rebellion?" Just a thought.
If it's takes place with rebel characters, definitely.
HOWEVER- I saw someone theorize that next we could get a bounty hunter themed season (aka tales of the hunters) and I thought that would also be pretty dope

The Luminara theory is something that I really wish happens. If it is real, I bet it will either result in Barriss being the one to kill her (basically Barriss's "dark side ending") or Luminara will redeem Barriss and they both die fighting the Empire, like you said (the "light side ending").
If they do this different every season, I hope they have tales of the old Republic I would love to have an episode arc feature something like a Starweird we haven’t seen those in live action or animation they are highly underrated, dark side creatures.
The Lucas Films/ILM animation is great and a great full circle moment for them if you know their history with this technology. Considering they helped develop this technology originally with starting up PIXAR back in the day.
Thrawn is going be highly important in this series.... would be interesting to see if they connect the thrawn books to his appearance here.
4:55 Thrawn was discovered in pretty much the same way in both canon and legends. There’s small discrepancies, like Eli Vanto being involved, and Booster Terrick not being part of it, but it’s more or less the same

Thrawn is a lieutenant in this scene setting this early in his career.
I do hope it is based of the Thrawn Trilogy books. I do not like how Thrawn was being made into a typical villain at the end of Rebels. I find that he draws parallels of Rommel and Yamamoto when I read it. Good military leaders but not villains. "There are heroes on both sides but evil is everywhere."
Thrawn was never a lieutenant. When he joined the empire he was already given the rank of senior lieutenant.
@@masteryoghurt2110 No he was given the rank of lieutenant Here is the exact quote found on page 46 of the paper back (towards the end of chapter 3 if you have an audiobook, hardcover or e-book) "Foss said you were to leave here as a lieutenant instead of the standard rank of ensign... Pulling open a drawer he extracted a lieutenant's rank plaque" Thrawn was later promoted to senior lieutenant and from what I can tell there is no rank plaque for that and the only picture online shows Thrawn covering it up so I would assume it is he exact same plaque where he just has seniority over other lieutenants.
Subtitles say “Admiral Thrawn” in the trailer.

Tales of the Bounty Hunters to finish Boba v Cad, Tales of the Separatists to finish Son of Dathomir, Tales of the Jedi Season 2 to finish Utapau arc?
I'm still expecting them to do the Ventress & Quinlan Voss arc in this series at some point as well.
Tales of the Bounty Hunter could also be a Tales of the Manadlorians if they went with stories about Din starting out as a bounty hunter and Bo katan during the rise of the Empire (A story I thought we might see in the Bad Batch) And possible a Jango Fett story.

Maybe it's because I never cared much for The Clone Wars 2008 except for the final arc, but Tales of the Jedi was amazing to me. It really fleshed out Dooku and made him a fully three dimensional character. The Ahsoka episodes, except for the first one, made me love the character.
I'm bummed you're not getting more but the concept of every season taken place in different eras and focusing on different factions is pretty interesting.
I wanna see a Grievous origin story, a young Yoda story, a Plagueis story, an Asajj story and, of course, a Baylen and Shin story

I think that Barriss will be redeemed and hopefully doesn’t die. But she’ll probs be redeemed cause in the first season Ashoka mirrored Dooku by the both leaving the order. However Ashoka chooses the light and Dooku doesn’t. In this one there probably both going towards the dark, but Harris chooses the light; and Morgan doesn’t

The Clones in the Inquisitors scene are most likely the first versions of The Purge Troopers before they changed armors into the ones in Jedi Fallen Order and the Phase 2 armors in Kenobi
Even though I'm very excited about this, I wish we had a piece of Star Wars media that's told from the average imperial perspective, not inquisitors or other force sensitive persons. It would be cool to see stories in which are told from the perspective of a imperial officer or ISB agent, Stormtroopers or Army troopers, or Tie pilots or even a civil servant for that matter. It Would be interesting to see how someone who serves the Empire response to all the evil going on around them. would they rebel or dessert, or just quit out of conscience, would they carry out thier orders but doing in way that allows them to do the right thing and have a clean conscience while technically obeying them, or would they just obey the orders to the letter or even exploit the situation to their own advantage in typical imperial sociopathic fashion. I think that would be a great series idea wise, but I don't think Disney will have the balls for that. Plus it's nice to see thrawns glowing eyes getting more prominence, very consistent with Legends.

I’m extremely excited for this show! I hope it becomes a sort of may 4th tradition, maybe next year we get tales of the new republic about Luke, Leia, and Hans adventures after rotj, just a little more redemption, other great ideas I’ve seen are tales of the bounty hunters and tales of the sith all which have multiple seasons worth of content and stories that could be told!
We definitely need more original trilogy character content, Especially with mark Hamil being a great voice actor it's a no brainer, definitely wanna see leia in a political thriller aswell
So nice to see a gradual improvement on the clone wars art style. I always liked it and refinement is always a good thing.

I’d love a Tales of the Rebellion with leaders like Bail Organa and Ackbar (since we saw a decent bit of Mon Mothma in Andor), or anything really that could show some cool New Republic era space battles. Imagine the Home One with a full New Republic assault fleet in clone wars style animation against an Imperial Remnant fleet.
I saw the trailer when it was released 50 seconds ago, i got to admit it looks good the cgi and everything and i was so excited tonsee grevious he looked badass seeing that Im basically finished watching The Clone Wars fully it was pretty nice to see him.

Animated Star Wars is where its at!
I know that we Clone Wars era people have been spoiled, and I'm so glad Star Wars is offering more stories away from that era. But I still feel like any time there are stories in this era, it's just some of my favorites for Star Wars, so I hope we can come back to it someday.
I feel the trailer, although short, does hint at Barriss going through the process of becoming an inquisitor only for her to eventually realize how much worse they’ve become than the Jedi and turning back
She’ll address what she did was wrong, even if the Jedi were flawed they weren’t THIS bad, she’ll regret what she’s done
And maybe Vader will eventually kill or imprison her? But we all know Vader isn’t one to imprison
Barriss could just escape the Inquisitorius. Reva did. The trailer suggests she'll find resolution with Luminara and Darth Vader... but there's one character that she has yet to make closure with. The one whom Barriss had personally betrayed above all others. Ahsoka.

I honestly don’t get why the early animation of clone wars gets so crapped on.
It’s honestly quite impressive for its time and now when you compare it to other shows back than and now.
They wish they could have this high quality of animation like clone wars
The movie was of subpar quality because the animation literally just wasn’t meant for theaters, and in the early seasons it’s clear that they were stretching their budget. It’s all solid, for sure, but the lighting and textures don’t do the art style any favors.
I know next to nothing about 3D animation and this is just what I notice looking back.

After the Ashoka and Obi Wan series I couldn't care less anymore about the Thrawn and inquisitors story lines.

I’m excited to see what’s next for Star Wars.
I would very much like this shorts series to be like the EU Tales books: a collection of short stories focused on different aspects of the greater galaxy. I didn't know if they would be willing to do a season with such a narrow focus as the Mos Eisley cantina, or Jabba's palace, but a season dedicated to bounty hunters or the greater underworld would be excellent.
Hard to ignore a fight between a rebel Ahsoka and inquisitorious Bariss.😅

I’ve been waiting to see Barriss to show up as an inquisitor since Rebels.
I'm looking forward to seeing this but...IMO this would have been more impactful if it had been shown prior to the Ahsoka series premiere. That series did a disservice to both Thrawn & Morgan by not really giving us any insight into their relationship. This is where I wish Lucasfilm was more forward thinking - they always seem like they put something out then have to go back and explain it; how about building up to something then have a payoff?
