Thank you, Jonathan. Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦
…Glory to All of the Heroes of Ukraine .. Thanks Johnathan and Konstantine ….💙💛💙
I never miss Konstantine’s videos nor yours, Mr. Fink. Ukraine is on my mind every day since the beginning of this terrible agression. Thank you both for keeping us so well informed.

Of course they don't mention that severe weather affected Afghanistan and Pakistan as well. 36 unalived in Pakistan as a result. So far.
This kind of thing has been happening everywhere. North America. Australia. Europe. Etc....
What they don't mention is when the Us withdrew from Afghanistan they also took every penny from the afghan treasury. 2 billion ish. @@gmw3083
Konstantin brings so much to this conversation. Thx for having him on.
I never miss these live streams with Konstantin. So interesting talks. Congrats to your Channel.

We must not forget Ukraine. Greetings from Finland
People must Pray seriously again . Everyone is running with their small Egoes.God is the orchestrater not anyone else .So please respond intelligently. Everything happens according to God's will.
Thanks Jonathan. I really value your conversations with Konstantin.
Although I follow him on his Inside Russia channel it is always illuminating to hear both of you together.
His grief for the "loss" of his homeland has been a sad story to witness over the last few years.
His humility, his humour and above all his empathy has helped lead him to his accurate tho heart-breaking understanding of all that is happening. Empathy being the very thing which he so accurately observes is diminishing in his countrymen.
Thankyou Jonathan for profiling him on your show and thank you for doing such great work for Ukraine.🌻
Sending love and support from Canberra Australia

Hello Jonathan and Konstantin, nice to see you both!❤
Konstantin is the unusual Russian. Guy with a brain and more importantly. A heart!
Agree. Having the opportunity to get out and visit the US when young helped develop his mind. Those who have been stuck in that country have had their minds damaged.
Citizens: We pretend to pay them, and they pretend to lead us.
Not Russian but Zionist.
Johnathon thank you. You introduced me to Konstantin early last year and I have been watching him since.
Konstantin 💪🏻💯🪖🇺🇦🇪🇺🙏🏻🍀
Thou shalt not make the government look stupid. Only the government is allowed to do that.
About right, yes.
It's great listening to such insightful people in such difficult times.
Thank you both Jonathan and Konstantin. I appreciate all of your work.
Fantastic discussion
I am so grateful for you both. I truly am.

Following Russian news is like witnessing some gargantuan train wreck, in slow motion. Konstantin must truly be a man of incredibly deep faith to soldier on the way he does. God bless you both.
Nice to see another conversation with you and Kostantin, always glad to hear about you two
Another unmissable analysis from Constantin. He never ceased to expose the baffling and reveal it as shocking. Thank you for sharing your insights.
I used to think K was a grifter.....he is not and actually has a fascinating perspective on Russia and I sure learned a lot. I even joined his channel. Shows what I know...LOL
Things were different when he was actually in his own country. I was not 100% sure about him either and think his attitude has altered a lot since he left.
Yeah, there's a huge businessman streak in him and I mistrusted him for some time. Still take his info with a pinch of salt. But he's consistent. And his prayers after the Crocus CH attack convinced me he isn't in it just for the money, he genuinely cares, and about Ukrainians, too. Being a long-time and, hopefully, caring Christian myself, I recognized a genuine prayer. Something like that just isn't possible to stage and pretend.
Kostya is a Real classic Russian man.
Because of people like Him I still have respect and hope for Russian people.
As Russians go, Konstantin is an extremely rare exception, though.
All this misery wouldn't have happened if the average Russian were like him. Clearly, that's not the case, has never been and might never be.
Always my favourite monthly Silicon Curtain episode! Fantastic as always!
Always interesting to hear how the jigsaw pieces fit together (or not..). The U.S nervousness about a hike in oil prices is just a rather distressing indicator of the extraordinary self-interest that permeates the House and the Senate. Follow the money…SLAVA UKRAINI! ❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️
@mickigarvey7608
Defense policy of the U.S.A. in the short term is controlled by the Commander-in-Chief, namely the President. Only over the longer term is defense policy highly influenced by the U.S.A. Congress which holds the purse string for any defense spending as well as the legislated allocation for different purposes.
It's criminal to cross allocation boundaries. For example, if the U.S.A. the munitions for fighting Red China doesn't mean that we the Columbians on Turtle Island can send them to Ukraine, unless Congress changes the allocation.
By and large, our Democrats don't know how to govern and our Republicans prefer to convert public revenue into private profits.
Both love to subvert public policies for "campaign contributions."
The thing that everyone seems to miss about the US asking Ukraine to stop hitting Russian refining facilities is what would happen to US funding to Ukraine if Republicans were to regain power in Washington. It's in Ukraine's better interest to do whatever they can to ensure Democrats win the majority in DC this November, I don't like it either, but if Trump wins the Presidency because people are angry about the price of gasoline, Ukraine will have to hope the EU is ready to dump $250B into Ukraine in the next couple of years because they'll get nothing from the US.
Agree. It disgusts me.
i dont think its bidens opinion and he needa a better international , seriously biden is realy on board for ukraine. , thats the , it makes him look like something he doest want.
Thanks Jonathan and Konstantin. As ever a great conversation. ❤
Hi Jonathan and Konstantin, you two wonderful fellows are so interesting and informative. Thankyou so much for keeping us updated.
Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦
I always questioned how Stalin lost 20+ million soldiers: where the Germans fighting on 2 fronts lost 6+ million.
Worse still they all died in vain. Only for Putin's RuZZia to become the new nazis attacking European countries to steal their freedom and force Fascism upon them 😢.
I believe it was 24 million soldiers lives were lost and between 8 and 10 million citizens of Soviet Union. Germany lost 5.5 million soldiers and 6+ million citizens. More than half of Europe gave up without fighting Germany so there was no loss of life for German troops. Also Germany was prepared with trained military and advanced weapons. That was not the case when Germany came thru Ukraine to invade Soviet Union. SU had little time to prepare and thus were ill trained and without weapons. It took several years until they were able to be on equal status as German troops.
KONSTANTINE is the real deal. I watch all his videos
My two favorite youtubers😊
Jonathan's rolladex of great contributors....to victory🇺🇦
I've been subscribed to Konstantin's channel since shortly after the Russians invaded Ukraine 🇺🇦.
What a treat! Konstantin is a goldmine of information. His descriptions of the Russian state of affairs and mentality are chilling.
Thank you for featuring Konstantine. I hear news not available anywhere else
Thank you for an excellent discussion Jonathan and Konstantin.
I do so admire your way of asking questions. You are such a clever man. Elsche from the Netherlands.
Mobilization may be stealthy, but there is nothing stealthy about the death rate in the Russian army and the lack of manpower in Russian industry.
Yes. You provide that extra dimension of human perspective that makes your interviews unique👍. Mahalo (thank you) 🌴
Always good to see Konstantine on Silicon Curtain. I know that information and analysis on Russia will be accurate. Thank you Jonathan. Slava Ukraini 🇬🇧🇺🇦
God bless you, Konstantin, I watch “inside Russia” every time you post a new video. Every one of your posts goes right to the truth and is explained with truth, compassion and hope. Thank you my friend.

Wow, it's that much already? Thanks from Czechia! ❤ 🇨🇿 🇸🇰
Excellent show. Thank you GOD BLESS YOU BOTH
Wow this was very enlightening, thank you guys. Had no idea about the new mobilization strategies they're doing, it sounds absolutely insane and depressing. I can't imagine how the average russian citizen is dealing with all of this without going nuts.
using the database from driving licences and facial racognition then gathering it all togther ....then "flagging" the ones to get conscripted. ...London is I am sure interested in this data base too but "calling all hackers !"
signed - anonymous
The z nation is indeed insane and depressing.
@@Bob-nd2mr -- Russia is far from the first country to do this. What do you think CBDC's are? It is control of your finances and thus the other areas of your life. Without money you can't buy food, transportation or anything. Some countries have given up passports because the Digital ID# data base has all information about every person from birth to death. They are now beginning to outlaw back-yard gardens so you won't be able to grown your own food either.
The FedNow program in USA is ready to go. Europe and England the same. But they need a Digital ID# which consists of fingerprints and retina scan. Almost every country currently has facial recognition. Look at the camera's on the streets and at intersections. All these governments need is a "black swan" event, which will scare the population so much, they willingly line up for a Digital ID#. Just the same way 80+% of the population allowed the jab based upon propaganda which frightened people to believe they would be killing "Granny" if you didn't get the jab.
Turns out it is not a "vaccination" at all. It is Genetically Modified Organisms of which it is so experimental no one knows the extent of the damage it will do to the human body. Almost every gov't in the Northern Hemisphere regulated lock downs and jabs which will forever change our bodies and our life expectancy. Hackers are not going to be able to help... Only individuals uniting together, as millions, may be able to stop this Davos WEF Plan!
Thx JF
Appreciate your work!
Between Silicon Curtain, Inside Russia, and Joe Blogs, are insights and information about the true picture of the corrupt and collapsing Russia under Putin. Thank you. Greetings from Estonia.
Exactly. We know that the putty regime lies and fabricate and alters reports to fit its image. Nothing that comes out of there can be trusted. K analyses and picks things apart critically.
Tere Tsehhist 😊 🇨🇿 🇪🇪
Always a pleasure, between the two of you, Jonathan enunciating clearly with great questions, Konstantin of course providing valuable information about inside Russia (on the ground, wet or dry).

Thank you for this interesting conversation J and K ❤
Thanks boys, great to se you two everytime any time ❤
Nice to see you both 👍
Those former Federation countries need to start investing more in armaments and trenches.
Thank you both so much. Extremely valuable. Are Russians anaesthetised to the truth about who exactly rules them and the total destruction of Ukraine. Jane Soole, 80 years, Dorset, England.
Sadly yes. The bubble of propaganda is powerful.
I believe it's a mixture Jane. Some believe in the 'cause'. Some know the truth and choose to look away. Some are ignorant and easily manipulated. Most are afraid to speak out.
That's what I believe.
Excellent interview
Always good to hear from Konstantin. Great chap. Wonderful insights and detail.
My two favourite youtubers in one place. Excuse me one or two beers.
I follow Konstantin and always enjoy watching his appearances on your channel, Jonathan. 🇺🇸
Two of the brightest lights on the web.
Thanks! Insightful, looking forward for that moment when something breaks!
Thank you for your material gentlemen's
My dream team.❤ Thank you, gentlemen.
Great interview 👌💯
Love these conversations!!!
Thanks Jonathan.
Russia doesn't export refined oil products, they export crude. So how is this supposed to drive up oil prices ?
Precisely
What do you think those oil refineries do? They refine crude.
It won't. Except inside the z nation itself. The US isn't being much of an ally right now and has no moral leg to stand on, trying to tell Ukraine what they can hit militarily. Also the US economy is booming.
Read somewhere that it's about the market, where prices depend even on such things as rumour or panic. The U.S. government is afraid traders would panick and that would drive the prices up a bit.
Thank you Johnathan and Konstantin, your conversations help keep perspectives alive and real.
Slava Heroiam Ukraini, Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦 from Canada 🇨🇦 Stay strong, keep smart.
Very insightful, thanks for this.
Love inside Russia greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
Konstantine is one of my favorite guests. Thanks for introducing me to him - I am now a fan of his channel. 🇺🇦💪🇺🇸
Great talk! You are really well prepared and ask good questions!
Konstantin is doing a great job, I follow him regularly. He points out very correctly to the points you tend to miss
Mobilization in Russia, Ukraine. Historical comparisons with US 1940 to present. The incompetence of Russian conscription, mobilization and volunteer procedures continues to amaze me after my 76 years of experience. I’ve lived through national conscription procedures my whole life. Even today all 18 year olds have to register for the draft, though we currently have an all volunteer army. In my day, 1940 to 1970s, there were local draft boards (Selective Service) that were given monthly quotas of numbers to be sent for processing. Deferred persons (students, teachers, key scientists engineers, civilian defense workers and workers at munitions plants, some skilled communications and power supply workers. Etc.) were temporarily passed over (say during Vietnam) and those called up were then called up for medical and if passed were then drafted either that day or up to a month later. Around Christmas 1969 the draft switched to a lottery. My number was 17 or so, vDraft January or February. Bill Clinton’s, same year, was something like 250 (draft never).
Anyway, the system, with its flaws, was in place for immediate use if there was an emergency. the US learned its lesson during WWI and for the Peacetime Draft, in 1940.
The phrase “call up” or mobilization in US generally referred to calling up reserve units, this or that reserve or National Guard battalion or air wing as a whole unit. These were separate from draftees and were already trained; most were veteran units. The soldiers were of course older than draftees, and after the initial service, would have weekly or biweekly training sessions and a period of two weeks or more field service or maneuvers, mostly in the summmer. These same type of units serve to this day and have frequently been mobilized to fight overseas, Iraq, Afghanistan, even to shore up forces in Europe. Currently no conscripts, though in the day (Vietnam era) conscription term was 2 years allowing enough time to train soldiers and get about a year or so service out of them. A likely officer candidate who was drafted might be offered a place in Officers Candidate School but they had to agree to extend their tours to 3 years. The WWII term for OCS graduates was “90 day Wonders”. But back then a lot of draftees were older and more experienced in life rather than 20-21, OCS grads of later years.
In Vietnam there was very little mobilization of National Guard or Reserve units unlike today. The Johnson Administration tried to avoid the political and economic costs of mobilizing large numbers of men with established families and professions, and with the post war baby boom coming of age, there was an excess of bodies available for conscription, even as a US Army of 550,000 was building up in country, Vietnam. Total US armed forces worked wide? Something like 3.5 million out of population I think of 180-190 million if memory serves. A VERY DIFFERENT DEMOGRAPHIC PROFILE IN 1960s.
All in all, the system, with a lot of flaws, worked. Russia’s, with the corruption, hazing, and lack of much commitment to social fairness, still doesn’t seem to. And I have no sense about Ukraine. They seem to have tried to avoid some of the issues and are in a muddle. Reminds me of the Union forces (Northern) in the Civil War and their erratic conscription methods. The Southern Confederacy instituted virtual universal conscription in 1862 (2nd year of war). Southern white male deaths in the US Civil War were at least proportionately on the order of Soviet deaths in World War II. Union Army might not have won without 200,000 Black, former slave, volunteers troops by the last year of the War (1865).
Having a system means having something that can be subverted and corroded. Therefore Russia, as it is, is incapable of having a system anywhere in the same ballpark as the US due to the nature of its own people.
That was a very nice summary, but you left a few things out. There were student deferments, married deferments, and don't forget medical deferments, many bogus. These all led to many difficulties that are too long to mention here, but have implications even today.
The failure to mobilize reserve components and national guard units was massive. One of the best ways not to go to Viet Nam was to join one of these outfits. Their ranks overflowed from 1965 through at least 1972. Really stupid. Train them up, but never use them.
The saddest part of the Vietnam Era was the sacrifice of the sons of the Greatest Generation by their own parents. Fundamentally 18 to 20 year old male Boomers were held in jeopardy from 1963 to 1973 when the draft officially ended. That's at the feet of their parents' generation.
T AND R: thank you for your comments, they are well taken, and I mostly agree. I did leave things out and not give proper emphasis to quite a lot. For Vietnam the Selective system eventually collapsed because class differences began to be more stark. Been thinking about this for some time, but wrote this off the top of my head. The student deferment issue was massive and complex as you suggest. Also certain professional deferments. I still remember, was it late 69, when they took away teaching. Medical deferments were really complicated. Some of it was bogus as you say, some of it was that they had stricter standards than previous conflicts. I had a 1Y medical because my blood pressure was one point over the limit (140 instead of 139). Yet this was also real, I’ve had slightly high blood pressure my whole life. If I had been drafted the military would have almost certainly had to pay disability, at least 10 percent, for the next 50 or 60 years, and they had such a really big pool of draft age males to draw from, far more than they needed. Braces would get you deferred, yet I had a friend who had really bad teeth, truly medically, not cosmetically an issue. We all could go on and on
I really kind of assumed that some accountants were trying to triage future veterans benefits for some of this, but I have absolutely no evidence nor have I researched the truth of the assumption.
Again, thank you both.
Thank you for your program, very important information you are providing us.
Have watched Konstantin since the beginning of the SMO. A spiritual man and trusted source.

The people who had their own dam built will be punished for two things
1) taking matters into their own hands instead of suffering at the hands of the authorities
2) for bypassing the kickback schemes in place for any commercial activity.
How dare they!
