That ISS reveal seems inspired by one from a Star Trek fan film (back when they could be episode length). The ship thought they were answering a distress call from a Federation ship, but when it was pulled up on the viewscreen, it was rolling in the same direction as seen here, and as soon as it pass the first part of the ship's name, the scene changed to the captain, who ordered a red alert, leaving the crew wondering what the heck was going on (only Captains and higher knew about the mirror universe incident).

The appearance of the ISS Enterprise in Discovery is similar to the appearance of the Defiant in Enterprise.
When the Defiant showed up in Enterprise, it made so much sense. It phased out of reality in TOS. So it follows that it went somewhere. It answered this question.
But having the ISS in Discovery answers no question. It was simply lazy. And had no real significance or impact to the story. It also made the universe feel really small.
What are the odds that someone, from a thousand years in the past, who has been aboard the actual USS Enterprise and has also been to the Alternate universe, would just happen to come across an Enterprise from the Alternate universe?

there are some moments and some scenes which are ok or even good. but most of the show overall is annoying. there was only 1 episode that I actually liked (and even that one had a B plot on the ship which was annoying) . that is episode 4 of season 3 when Adira goes to the Trill homeworld . not everyone agrees with me that it's a good episode but I personally liked it (only the parts on Trill) . unfortunately the way it went after that was terrible. so I only recommend that one episode and nothing else.
there are specific scenes in the show that are good , such as Pike seeing his future in season 2 of Discovery , but again how it went later on didn't make much sense.
