That ISS reveal seems inspired by one from a Star Trek fan film (back when they could be episode length). The ship thought they were answering a distress call from a Federation ship, but when it was pulled up on the viewscreen, it was rolling in the same direction as seen here, and as soon as it pass the first part of the ship's name, the scene changed to the captain, who ordered a red alert, leaving the crew wondering what the heck was going on (only Captains and higher knew about the mirror universe incident).

So the ISS Enterprise is in the configuration of the Strange New Worlds Enterprise. I thought the SNW configuration was before the 2nd pilot version Enterprise we originally saw in Mirror Mirror. So they just seemed to bring it back to this configuration. Makes no sense just like the show.
Nutrek has managed to make me tired of the Mirror Universe AND of the Enterprise. That’s quite an achievement. I want an entire show devoted to David Cronenberg’s that never mentions canon ships or characters ever again.

So the enterprise we see in Star Trek Discovery: Strange New Worlds was the first, and then we have the versions from the cage and the original series. The STD-SNW versions look years ahead and are so much more advanced.
I think the writers have missed a point. I don't think the TOS mirrorverse, is the same as DS9's or STD's. What if just like multiverse guessing, maybe there's more than one mirrorverse?

What do you expect them to do? They've been over paying Mr. Kurtzman for years, so the have to cut costs SOMEWHERE, and since the bridge set is already there, and SNW wasn't using it at the time, so it makes sense. Few things are guaranteed in life, but it's a pretty good bet that all new Trek will always have the kind of stupid stuff you make fun of here. It'll always be dissapointing, but at least you'll have material to work with, and that's better than nothing.
This is the final season of discovery, but unfortunately its also going to be the final season of lower decks (wish lower decks had the opportunity to really mock discovery a lot).

The appearance of the ISS Enterprise in Discovery is similar to the appearance of the Defiant in Enterprise. When the Defiant showed up in Enterprise, it made so much sense. It phased out of reality in TOS. So it follows that it went somewhere. It answered this question. But having the ISS in Discovery answers no question. It was simply lazy. And had no real significance or impact to the story. It also made the universe feel really small. What are the odds that someone, from a thousand years in the past, who has been aboard the actual USS Enterprise and has also been to the Alternate universe, would just happen to come across an Enterprise from the Alternate universe? Give me a break.
Every time I see a clip I'm reminded that this Mary Sue is Spock's adopted sister who is better than him in every way, that she started a war with the Klingon Empire and other people apologized to her for not supporting her, that she regularly puts her entire ship in danger when she Leeroy Jenkins into another situation she doesn't understand. If I was to write a parody of bad fan fiction writers I couldn't have come up with a worse character on purpose.

Being a fan of Trek but not of NuTrek like I know we both are, do you believe that I should spend the time watching it? Using your videos as a way to blow off steam for sure from the bullshit they give us, trying to fanservice and reference things instead of caring about cannon...is it worth it? Should I bother? Or perhaps remain ignorant and happy without ever having truly seen them.
there are some moments and some scenes which are ok or even good. but most of the show overall is annoying. there was only 1 episode that I actually liked (and even that one had a B plot on the ship which was annoying) . that is episode 4 of season 3 when Adira goes to the Trill homeworld . not everyone agrees with me that it's a good episode but I personally liked it (only the parts on Trill) . unfortunately the way it went after that was terrible. so I only recommend that one episode and nothing else. there are specific scenes in the show that are good , such as Pike seeing his future in season 2 of Discovery , but again how it went later on didn't make much sense. for my full detailed opinion you can check out my reviews on my other channel: czcams.com/users/NitpickingNerd
