Damn. If this were a cable tv show, there’d be a whole crew of production people doing what Puddin is doing by himself to make a great set for the channel!
yeah but an entire crew could probably get it done in 1 80 hour day instead of 2.
He works hard and deserves all the blessings 🙌
Puddin I am an hvac contractor from Utah. Your shop could definitely handle the weight of the units on the roof. Then it will rake up less space. You could make a homemade curbing for them to sit on the roof level. If you'd like I could walk you through the process
i dont know myself too much but he is also building that other area that is going to need to be cooled as well so if he gets those two 5 ton units then maybe he could have them figure it in for the air and heat for that new addition. it would seem to me if it is a ground placed unit it would be better to set the return close to the middle of the shop someway so the airflow on the return is equalized. i only worked hvac for a while but not enough to say for sure.
He's in tornado alley as well an anything on a roof is generally destroyed. Better chance on the ground an your not cutting into the roof
Also those returns should go high but he has already gotten them installed long ago by now i'm sure lol
@@Wolvenmoon agreed you want to pull in the hot air to cool it off. The hottest here is the highest air so cooling that off will cool off the shop the quickest
Lookin GUD! Good job 👏
Extremely happy for you man. I have 13 years on you, have worked my butt off my entire life and I’m no where near being able to afford a set up like yours, yet you’re out here killin’ it. Don’t let up brother.
The shop is really taking shape. Don't let old Mortske give you any crap. We all know Mojo and Chin did all the work during his move.
Your brick wall with the Puddin sign looks really good. The shop is shaping up really nice.
You're little storage room kind of looks like the front of a hardware store looks cool
Take the bottom of the door frame out will make it easier getting things in and out. It’s only there because it’s an exterior door and you’re not using it for exterior purposes and would help with airflow and if anything you can put something down there that’s connected to the door like a piece of rubber
Why not build yourself a platform outside like you did inside for your balcony and put your units up on that then you’d have a covered concrete area underneath. It would kinda be like a Lean-to. I did that on my one building.
I appreciate that you have been talking us all along on your journey. It’s all good and enjoyable every bit.
Glad you are getting some air conditioning in the shop. In the long run your health will thank you, as well as your girls.
paint the door dark unless you like greasy hand prints
Adding the AC units will be a big help, however, with the return air at or near floor level you will be exhausting floor level air into the return air system . That will include any exhaust gases from automobiles you may be working on. Those exhaust gases will then be distributed throughout your building as conditioned air. I strongly suggest exhaust gas hoses to attach to tail pipes that extend to the outside of the shop. This is a normal and required installation for repair garages where vehicles will be operating in the shop. Good luck and very much enjoy your content!
I'm oddly pleased that you saved that giant pepper. Top priority is to getting the pepper mounted and free up the lift. I'm betting that lift will change your life.
All my favorite CZcamsrs are moving into new shops. Congrats to Puddin', Sleeperdude, Vicegrip Garage, and Half A$$ Custom who is just now building his new shop. Puddin' your shop is coming along nicely. Can't wait for you to start a new build.😊👍
......don't forget Mortske Repair. He moved into a new shop last year and is still in the process of making additions and renovations !
@@urbanurchin5930 but he's still afraid of losing' it :)
@@urbanurchin5930Mortske got a new shop? Lol . I remember people bugging him about it .
Can't wait to see Half-ass kustoms new shop ! Brent amazes me !
Grind Hard is also building a new shop
Monday’s are always better with some Puddins fab shop!
PUDDIN, you are a shining example of a true middle class American, in other words, you are just like us and that’s what keeps us coming back every week. Much Love
Got to tell ya, im living vicariously through this shop build. After messing my back up and having to quit doing pretty much everything im enjoying at least watching your success
Those exhaust fans work better if you only open the door about 2 foot in the Bay that you're working in so it forces the air to move fast at floor level
You should put that Pott county legend sign right above your bench it would look great there. Shop looks so good! Love seeing the progress. Good job!
we just had a ridge vent installed with our new roof and it has made a world of difference in our attic
Puddin I just want to thank you, I’ve been having a bad month with a lot of personal issues. Your 2 videos a week help me to take my mind off the stress and everything going on in my life for an hour and I need that. I love everything you do, so thank you again for taking my mind off of my stressful life right now.
Hey man! Don't know you but I'm always here to listen!
I know it may be hard for you right now , but try to stay in a positive mindset... It can only get better for you.
You are loved brother
I feel your pain @arronstone.... I have been laid up since 2020!y last day at work was February 18, 2021.... and I went from an adrenaline junkie with SuicidalTendencies.... anything good in my life gets broken down..... I AM KEEPING MY HEAD UP.... WITH MY TWO TIMES A WEEK PUDDINS FAB SHOP.
I feel the same way. I really helps having someone take your mind off all the stress and issues. Thanks Puddin !!
OK, the brick wall with the white door and the bench - that looks pretty cool. Good job!
Puddin, you're getting it. Have pride in what you have done. You earned it. Hard work is paying you back.
Happy to see air conditioning going in, you worked hard and deserve it Puddin
You have no idea how happy i was when you put that light up we had one above the door of an old summer kitchen and it would have been perfect above the door for your storage room. And I personally like the shop videos because i like the instant gratification of watching it get clean and organized
Just wait for the episode where he buys a labelmaker.
Dang Brother...Your just wearing Me Plumb Out! I keep getting Flash Backs Of Me Remodeling My Night Club back in the 80s! Your shop is coming along Nicely! A couple more 40 hr. days and You'll be "in Your Words" MONEY! Keep Up the Good Work!
I thot at first when Slick came strolling out of the brick room after just telling the seeing the ghost man you was gonna go after him and he would magically disappear for a joke.
Sir Puddin, you and Mortske, Sleeperdude, and Wes, have all had something to say about each other, and I love it. Sir Mortske says you been milking that move long enough🤣😂🤣
The shop is looking great. A/C definite must. This is your livelihood and you need to take care of yourself so you can put out the best content. Although you may stay out there more than usual. Keep making time for the babies and Mama.
Mr Yearwood is a great addition to your channel puddin. Loving the content shop looks fantastic.
it's coming along cant hardly wait till it's up and running but we are all hanging in there
Ron Myers was a legend. Everybody knew him as simply "Myers." Even if you didn't know him, if you were involved in the motorcycle scene or custom cars in the greater Tulsa area, you knew of him.
You have been inspiring me on my small shop build which is 24X25. All my tools have been strung out over three places until now. Thank you for the shop build.
I died when you said you don't want to lay caulk on a big hole with a tiny gap..... Pure Wisdom from the Pot County Legend 🤣
One of the most satisfying videos yet... just seeing the space clean and empty waiting for a project!!!!!
Not going to know what to do when you go back to working on cars. Watching shop improvement has turned into some great content
Shops looking good, was gonna suggest the cabinet with the whooped on shelves now that you’ve got them straightened out again would’ve been good for stocking Sweet Patina wipes or your collection of lubey dooby most of that isn’t that heavy and with the see through doors you’d be able to see your supply level
The guy who always tells us "I'm not a sheet metal guy" turns around and straightens out some metal shelves like a pro! I wish I was "not a sheet metal guy" just as good as Puddin'! Also, think about securing those cabinets to the wall... you don't want to pull out those drawers and have it tip over on you.
With the sun setting the color makes your shop look like an old school hotrod shop. The shops you would see everywhere when I was a kid and that was 40+ years ago. Good times.
Love the store front looking tool room, your a good decorator.thanks John from Arizona
Looking good Puddin. I can't wait for you to be able to get to building cars again.
Don’t apologize for all the time, work, and effort you’re putting into your new shop. It looks amazing.
Good call on the shop AC. You cannot even imagine what a game changer it is until you experience it.
You should paint the window trim and pin stripe the squares on the tool room door Puddin's fab shop blue!
for the wall on the shop, put yourself one of those large square window murals on the wall and make so it appears to be looking in to an outdoor scene.
I like the way you include your audience in setting up the new shop. Keep up the good work and take care of yourself. We want you healthy while you pump out the videos.
Hi Puddin, If your still concerned about your damaged metal sheves get some 3/4" wood square dowels or whatever size fits. Drill them in the front of the shelves with self tappers. They wont be seen either. Your shop is coming along great! Thanks for bringing us along!God bless and take care from your long-time California subscriber.
It is looking better every day.
Just beautiful.
After the heat story I think slick gave me a heart attack when he just walked out of the tool room
Enjoying what you are doing in the shop. I’m glad you getting a brake from working on cars. Have fun with it! Will make you life easier when you go back to twisting wrenches!
That's funny, you said Kennedy, my dad. That was born in 1914. He had a Kennedy box in our shed for years. And I'm 60 eight, and you just hit home with that. God bless you, brother !!
Great looking shop. My husband and I both watch all your shows ! Keep up good work but REST too.
That new shop is looking so damn good. Cannot wait to see you wrenching on something new in there soon.
Holy crap! A wild shop appears! Looking forward to the first real project to get done in the new place. Love the organization and setup.
I like that you put the Puddin' sign back where it was origjnally placed.
You have done A LOT of work Puddin!
You should remove the threshold from the door. It is not needed since you have concrete and it is on the inside of a shop.
I hope VH1 does a Where Are They Now on Bill . Miss that guy .
Your shop is coming along well, You should be very proud of all that you've done.
I seriously want to thank you again for the content. I've said before that dealing with mental issues, severe depression and anxiety makes a lot of things much harder such as sleep and so on. Having something fun with zero drama and zero heartache to watch and occupy the mind is worth so much more than most will ever know. A mind occupied with something with no worries splashed with a shit ton of fun is just what I need and I get that here. It's been an incredibly bad 8 or 9 months for me and re-watching your videos is just what I need at times so from the bottom of my heart I really, really want to thank you and your family for the sacrifices and hard work you all put in to provide this content for all of us to watch. I do truly enjoy the content for exactly what it is but the other aspects I mentioned above are so beneficial for people like me. Thank you kindly. All of you please keep safe and take care of each other.
If the shelves in your cabinet are too flimsy or compromised you can throw a piece of small angle iron on the front edge and put some self tappers to hold it and that should stiffen it up a lot
I had teh same problem with "flimsy shelves" and bent shelves, MY solution was a 3/4" plywood cut to fit INSIDE the shelf, then deck screws throw the wall of the shelf itself into the wood!! Made my shelves so much stronger, I can store my 3 ton heavy duty jack stands on it, and it doesn't flex the shelf at all!!
If your wife was working with you in the shop, she would want the shelves moved up one space or down one space once you're done installing.
I have a suggestion to make your break area look more like a store front. You could put a canvas covered awning over the bench area from the staircase over to the door like the old store fronts used to be. you could even have a fan or 2 that blow down to cool you off,
Needs a soda pop machine and a gum ball machine too!
and one of those coin operated rocking horses they used to have in front of the grocery store for a penny@@quantumtime6883
There's a lot of stuff in this video! Mr. Yearwood is the THE DUDE!
The late-day sun through the garage doors is going to be a bit difficult, but that can be remedied.
I hope you don't have too much AC, but if you do, you put one of those units that you've already paid for on the new side you're building. .
I am plum AMAZED @ how #pfs new shop has come along. You're a true Craftsman in every sense of the word. It looks fanfrickitastic!!! #pfs4life #puddinsfabshop
It’s looking great Puddin! I know you mentioned not coating the floor but it is the only thing you haven’t done. Maybe get your concrete guy to “MILK” the floor real quick and you can then lay down an epoxy coating to give everything that finishing touch.
Jacob, I'm sure glad you're having a/c put it. It's just too dang hot brother and getting worse every year. I think that was a good move. I'm also excited for the fact that you are now going to have a car lift cause guess what, we ain't in our 20's no more. It's hell getting old, lol. Everything's coming together nicely. The house looks great!
Hey, i find it enjoyable to see your progress! Just remember to hydrate!
You sir are living my dream! Unfortunately I am now well past my prime and still stuck in a small 24' x 20' shop and time is not on my side. I am so happy for you man! You go boy! Don't stop.
Great video. Love the shop build videos just as well as the car build videos. Please don’t feel you’re neglecting your viewers because you’re showing the transitioning to the new shop instead of working on cars. No apologies necessary. Can’t wait to see the addition build.
Hello puddin looking towards another great video ,your new shop and house look amazing ,you are a hard working guy and you truly deserve everything you have worked for
The shop is looking great .
Starting to look like a shop ! Can't wait for the next update
Puddin’ you ever think of attempting to hook up with a company called *Levrack,* they have a pretty nifty storage system and I’ve seen them work with other CZcamsrs, not sure how it works but maybe you could score a partnership.
It definitely takes time when you want it done right and looking later on you won't spend as much time looking for shit
Coming along nicely. Take all the time you need, we will be here.
Oh My!!! What an awesome shop!! Your doing it right the way you want it. Makin me dream now!!! Well done!!!
Ok Mr. Puddin’ time to take 15 min and go get your hair and beard trimmed! 💁🏼♀️
Congrats!!!! Love it when a plan comes together.
I love the new shop it's looking real good
You should put the kitchen on the new concrete area so you can run a drain before they pour it. But prob to late but can still put kitchen there.
Love the new shop Puddin. Your doing it up right. Your old buddy Mortske is ripping you up a bit on his channel. The shop will be sweet when it's finished and you should be able to put out some awesome work.
Hey, do you ship merch to New Z
Zealand? My birthdays coming up would really like to buy a hat
You have got what true a Man Cave is all about. A place to build something and a place you love spending time in. Great job it looks amazing. I would love a shop a third the size.
Puddin the shop is looking excellent I know you're tired and wore out hang in there a couple more days and you will have it the way you like it and it's going to be beautiful beautiful I tell you just beau-ty- full 👍👍
Need to throw an old hood as an “overhang” above the door to the storage room!
That light is perfect for that spot on your store front
The shop has shaped up nicely.
Brick room looks like an old school store front. Nice.
you need to put a air/heat window unit in the tool room for somewhere to just take a break and cool off or warm up.
The whole shop is gonna be an expensive bill!
@@bloodgirl4 Utilities are all tax deductible since this is his business.
@@upscaleshack Still gotta pay that monthly bill first..
I’ve known Mark Yearwood for decades! He grew up around Eakly, Ok and lived in Weatherford, Ok for years. I saw him at a grandkids ballgame in Weatherford this spring. He is a good man.
Hey Puddin. Shop is looking great. At least you are still putting out content. That's all your loyal fans ask for. It doesn't always have to be about the cars. This will just make your projects easier to handle. Love from Texas brother
Hey Mr. Puddin, you are really making that shop real nice. Everything has a place, and that is what i would do to. Enjoy your video!
Shop is looking phenomenal @Puddin !! I don’t mind these videos at all. It’s awesome to see your progress brother. Stay blessed, and don’t forget to rest..
Shop is coming together nicely man . Realy smart putting in heat/air , especially with water in the building an the downside of spray foam is it holds heat like an oven in the summer . You will thank yourself this winter working in a warm shop it will improve your progress to . Later man
Put the kitchen cabinets on the side of the storage closet where you are leveling up the concrete.
I envy your shop, I’ve always wanted one just like it . Soooo happy for you brother you deserve it!!! May GOD bless you and your family for years to come!!
put the tailgate bench under the sign and the workbench next to it in the larger section next to the stairs to loft.
This might sound stupid but it actually works. A good friend of mine has a shop just like yours and he has fans placed at all the corners pointed in a certain direction to where it'll move air around the shop. He keeps his door closed and it actually stays pretty chill in there during the day with no AC
Puddin your shop is really coming around and is looking amazing. I am here for the rest of my life, I ain't going anywhere. Take your time and git her done right because I know you will be too busy when you start wrenching. Keep the videos coming on both channels and I will be more than happy.
It's good to know, that still to this day, that Puddin still hasn't called Jim Alva.
