There’s nothing more I love than the good guy and the bad guy 2:45 to basically have to team up to beat the mutual bigger bad guy (Scorpion King). Provides a bigger escalation that keeps me hooked!
I was obsessed with ancient Egypt when I was a kid - and so I was excited when these came out - like, "Damn, an action movie involving archaeology, mummies, ancient Egypt, etc." - like they kind of had an Indiana Jones vibe at the time though I don't think they were near as good. But I loved them back in the day. Looking back, they're a tad cheesy though lol. That CGI... I'm not sure I ever even saw the last one.
Same about the Ancient Egypt thing. Only exception being that I was obsessed about ancient civilizations as a result of Indiana Jones, I even wanted to be an archaeologist when I was really little.
Brendan Fraser Has so much potential to be an action movie hero back then.
I really love the Mummy, The Mummy returns and the mummy: tomb of the dragon emperor! I love all three mummy films together! I love the way of how Rick O'Connell destroys mummies as he defeats them, like I love it when he runs the scorpion King through with a spear, and The scorpion King himself explodes into black Mummy dust and I also love it when He stabs the dragon emperor in the heart with a dagger!
