I just went to MicroCenter to see this in person. It’s there if you look very close to it, and kinda makes everything look a tad shade darker (as if the brightness isn’t turned all the way up).

I got the base model and was disappointed to not get a stylus in the box for that config. My only other frustration is that the lock port is the size of a standard Kensington slot, but only works with their Slim style of locks and not the standard T-bar designs due to a shorter-than-spec roof inside the slot. Otherwise it seems to be really solid and I've enjoyed having it. Afaik this is one of the only laptops with a touch screen, discrete graphics, and removable ram/ssd/wifi.

Pity it's just a 16" device and they haven't released the Scar 18/Strix G18 in ProArt style, without the useless RGB but still with larger screen with taller aspect ration, possibly with an OLED or miniLED tech, and a chassis that's capable of supporting 4080 or 4090 class GPUs with more VRAM than the 4070 can offer... I guess it's still just the MSI Titan to somewhat attempt this DTR recipe, maybe the Acer Triton 17x as well, but neither is OLED nor 18+"...

As an user of this laptop I did find after in depth research that SD card reader poor performance is not about sd card compatibility. Asus did forget to mention SD Express standard is not back compatible with all SD card standards so the reader can be fast only when you use special SD EX cards, which are non existent in for ex. photography world. SD express 7.0 reader reads either ancient SD UHS 1 or SD EX standard, and nothing in between (sic!) which means every other card than SD EX will get speeds only up to 90MB/s which is crazy slow in 2023.

@@AshevilleVideography hi, and thanks for asking!
      You won´t believe it...
As the notebook was brand new, I haven´t used the camera yet. So, I had a Signal meeting and .... OMG, the camera didn´t work!
So I recalled the problem I had with my Zenbook Pro Duo, that wouldn´t let me open Premiere Pro because the integrated mic didn´t work. I send it to ASUS and they had to change the whole screen board. 900 euros but fortunately still under warranty.
      Back to the problem.
I deleted the camera driver, and still the same. Deleted Nvidia and the same. I reinstalled win11 and JUST updated WIN11 and installed Premiere Pro and... still crashing. So, I thought maybe Nvidia was stepping on the ASUS controller, but... where to find the original controllers? Wrote to ASUS and nothing. They sent me a link but ... useless, as usual.
So, I had to go deeper. I went to the Device Management, looked for the camera, properties, device ID and copied the "hidden" id sequence. Googled for it. deleted Nvidia, installed the driver I found, installed Nvidia, and reinstalled the camera driver once again. AND BINGO! It worked. And so far everything is doing great. Tech people under salary are usually very limited.
So, short version: Nvidia was stepping on the camera driver and at ASUS you can´t find a repository with controllers (HUGE mistake), so I had to find it myself, and to find myself the solution.
      Thanks for asking!!
