I just bought one in black. You taught me a few things I didn't know like the subs in the tail gate. My wife's gonna love that. Thank you. Got my 2024 used (previous owner put 5k miles on it and traded in for something smaller) saved me about 6k on MSRP.

While it seems insane.... My 2002 2500 HD 4WD with 8.1 in LT trim was 43k MSRP. The new truck is only inflated at 4% a year from there.

GM has definitely come a long way. Especially with their truck interiors and diesel engines. Remember the 6.2 Detroit when it came out in the 80's? 0-60 in 1 hour and loud AF. This Denali interior could easily rival that of a Mercedes S-Class now.
If only I had a use for a big pickup truck everyday......

Amazing truck. I had a 2023 Ford F350 Super Duty Platinum on order since October 2022 and 8 months later I was still waiting with no end in sight. Then Ford announced that going forward they were cancelling the massage seats due to supply issues and that was the last straw. Went to my local GMC dealer. They actually had a sold Denali Ultimate on the lot that I could look at. They said no problem ordering one so I did...a 3500HD in Sterling Metallic... and it should be here in about 4 months. Very excited! Thanks for the great video; it definitely validated my decision to switch to GMC.

Probably my favorite truck in this segment, and agree with you would prefer for the chrome to all be the dark chrome if itâs going to be there. Also, I almost bought a box of Twinkieâs today, but fought hard past the urge.
Took delivery of my 3500 Dually Ultimate Denali itâs amazing, I especially like the cluster and infotainment video that runs priors to start up super cool
Iâm with you that it needs a better sunroof, the cover needs to be power and it should also be suede donât know if you noticed but itâs a cheaper material just for the sunroof cover

They used to. Actually I think they still do but only sold as fleet vehicles. Mostly for security that have armor added and bulletproof glass. I know somebody who has one now and just sold his old one but his is I think a 2013 the one he had before that had a big block in it still.

Sold my 2018 Silverado HD LTZ, got $32K for it, to replace my exact truck from Chevy ( wait for it), $79K, SCREW GM, bought a 2024 Tundra limited loaded panoramic moonroof, JBL sound, Crewmax 6.5' bed, paid $64K, I'm never going back to the greedy bastards at GM,,, but great review Joe, it is a nice looking rig

I agree on the crome. I shouldn't have to but if I could afford a $92k truck I would customize and get rid of all of that chrome, get rid of all the badging, and do a nice non-factory paint.

The 1500 Denali Ultimate has Super Cruise. I think the reason for not having SC is because it's a much larger truck and maybe DOT compliance requirements.
Exactly what I thought. I'm sure if it was possible, GM would've added Super Cruise to the HD trucks as well. As you mentioned, the 1500 has it.

Joe, I would suspect that if the average buyer is worried about the EPA rating for this beast, they'd be better off looking at a Honda Ridgeline! Just sayin'... At any rate, I absolutely LOVE the updates to this GMC 2500 Denali Ultimate! Considering the HP plus that outstanding torque rating, you could haul just about anything you'd like with this beautiful truck. By the way, I totally agree about the need for the super cruise option. At any rate, I'm sure I'd be quite happy with it. What a great review.

GMC has the best looking trucks on the market right now.
Ordered this truck in March and Iâll have it in 2 weeks, I think itâs beautiful and interior is beautiful. The re-design on the Ford is hideous in my opinion. This is much more aggressive.

@@maximomigueljr700 Iâve had the truck since end of May, and all I can say is it is absolutely amazing, rides like an Escalade and is a huge head turner ! The interior is beautiful, much more beautiful than ford & Dodge in my opinion, I say go test drive one if you canâŠ.I know not many Ultimate HDâs are sitting at dealerships but give it a try ! Not one issue with the truck either.

I see these things so often where I live and they are nice but I can't stand their headlights, the low beams are like ULTRA high beams. Especially if your in a sedan, right in your eyes.

Buy an SUV or a truck. Or lift your sedan. Most of the reason people buy SUVs & trucks are for the safety. Sedans will always lose vs a larger vehicle.

GM is still playing catch-up with the interior for respective trim levels. Power train is in the same boat with the turbo lag and GM made transmission, not Allison.
Nice truck. But no one is getting a Denali ultimate for actual work. As a status symbol it is awesome. Those tailgate speakers are pretty stupid. Why on earth would i put speakers on a "work" truck step stool.
They should have gone with DeWalt or Milwaukee speakers in the tailgate.. you know, to inspire some work.
I dont know y GMC/Chevrolet dont offer a panoramic sunroof for that price point/model year but its a truck i will definately be on the lookout for in the future.....

How comfortable are the seats? Are they wide enough, soft or firm? Is the limited more padded?

I just bought a half ton Ultimate Duramax. Making me think maybe I should have waited a couple weeks and got the 3/4 ton lol. Its only about $10k difference in price. The dealer I got mine from has one in now so does the other GMC dealer in town and I found another that has 4 of them.
If only we could have them all.

Definately agree needed the Black Crome( gun metal finish) throughout. Inside and out. Would like to see it on the rims as well. And either black crome or color match fender trim. Otherwise loving it.
You canât look at this as a normal work truck and say 100k is crazy. Just look at what 100k gets you from other companies and youâll realize itâs actually a decent price. Thatâs a luxury suv + a crazy capable work truck + off-roader. If it was European that shit would cost 200K

Definitely GMC 2500 over the Ford F-250. The truck has everything you need and more with an incredible blend of practicality and luxury to meet every aspect of daily living including work. Plus the overall look of it screams truck in a great way. I agree with some of the shortfalls, but they are so minor compared to more important requirements and practical use features of a truck. Price point is a little high, but you do get a lot with that price, and are paying for the name as GMC Denaliâs have always been known for their luxury and price.
Should have a console shifter instead of on the column.
Name a single heavy-duty truck with a console shifter - I'll wait. If manufacturers ever move away from HD column shifters then put the shifter in a rotary dial on the dash - ala RAM 1500. Console mount takes up valuable real-estate.

A refresh on the new GMC HD!! Love the new design and features that is a really nice Denali ultimate.
The previous Denali was not that exciting. The other brands luxury would trump it easily BUT looks like GM did something about it finally.
A few things to note from your video. We all know GM takes his time to bring changes to its products.
It takes typically two years more than the competition to bring technology to their products. There are some exceptions of course but they are being too cautious to try things.
1 - Frontend very nice. I like the functional hood air dam. Ford had the big C clamp LED since 2017 MY. I also prefer the dark badging over the red or the gold.
2 - Nice wheels. Nothing new about center caps.
3 - Mirrors.. Looks a bit weird and Ford has better ones.
4 - Box side steps, should be optional on higher trims. Standard on a work truck. Some 3rd party businesses offer a step delete option.
5 - Bumper steps, nice but the first version was too small for the steel toe boots! Corrected.
6 - Tailgate, nice response to Ford's after making fun of it. Stereo integration is a nice touch.
7 - Bed LED that's a normal option, hookups: 400w...Ford has options up to 9.6KW
8 - Interior. MUCH BETTER. Door panels are nice but go look at RAM and FORD's Limited. Nice big Infotainement. Prefer this than vertical one in the RAM (release in 2019... 5 YEARS AGO lol). Cameras crarity it tops in the GM. Toggle switches are nice. The tailgate release is positionned in a way where an accident is bound to happen while reaching in the cubby hole. Hopefully they opted for the double tap on every tailgate release location like Ford did. Seats, I hope they are better than the previous models. Everybody knows both Ford and RAM seats are more comfortable. Especially in the Ford Limited. Massage function.. it was available back in 2017 in the Fords. Manual steering tilt and telescopic... yeah that's a definite zonk. Nothing wrong with the shifter but it does hinder the Infotainement view when in drive.
9. - Retractable side steps.. again Ford had them in late of 2016.
10. - Panoramic roof. Don't care. Never did and it's a very expensive option or Zonk as you said. Power sliding rear window.. nothing new there in any truck. Heck the Toyota Tundra's whole back window goes down.
11. - Room. They are all spacious but most people over 6'2"+ will opt for leg room in the Ford both front and back. The GM under seat storage is smaller and Ford's collapses to make it near flat to make room for big items with seats up.
I didn't even mention Ford's more power/torque and better fuel economy on their 6.7.
It's a really nice truck but you guessed it my pick is the Ford Super Duty Powerstroke (in the Platinum trim).

This is not a work truck. Not in any sense.This is a truck the owner of the company will drive. He doesn't do any work. All he does is drive to the work site in this (showing off) , where everybody else is driving a base Sierra and he just watches then he leaves back on vacation. Nobody who actually works can afford this thing!

Why is it that only the Yukons get the fancy Bose head rest speakers but the Denali Ultimate for the trucks don't get the fancy Bose head rest speakers? Does not seem an Ultimate truck to me if it does not offer the same Ultimate features as the Yukon gets...
