- FIRST LOOK: The Sierra is going full electric from GMC for 2024. On the outside you will get a bold look, LED lighting, 24in wheels, running boards and special tailgate. On the inside there is a new 17in infotainment screen, digital gauge cluster and panoramic glass roof. Powering the Sierra EV Denali are (2) electric motors producing over 700HP! $107,000. Pricing is wild. I remember in 2014 when I bought my ram 3500 Laramie fully loaded, Cummins diesel, long bed, mega cab, I paid 46k new off the lot. Crazy looking at prices now considering that was only 8 years ago.

When I saw the teaser for the new Sierra EV, I had high hopes that this was going to be amazing. GMC made this truck look amazing so far!

favorite has to be the rivian. looks very new age while also having the conservatism and no unnecessary graphics, that aren't simple, symmetrical and geometric.
it looks like a tool. this looks like it's trying to be a sports car with a bed.
i don't reallyyy mind when smaller, lighter cars have that kind of aesthetic.. but this is a 6 or 7 thousand pound truck.

It’s a brand new platform and they can’t make too many of them yet, so they’re going to pad their margins as much as possible until the supply chain catches up to mass

For what I can afford right now my choice would be the new Nissan Frontier Pro4X…V6 and no iPad on the dash. But this GMC is gorgeous.
This is by far the best EV truck I have seen to date. I would 100% choose this over the Rivian or F-150 Lightning. I just hope they bring the price down to earth!

50k base price takes away the vanity plate, Gold Necklaces. Factory Tint and a 9 volt battery is included for a whopping 2 mile range
Let me fix that for you. This is by far the best truck that you can't buy right now. By the time people will be able to get the few of these that can get produced, Ford will be selling their T3 next gen EV truck. It will have the most important feature of all... Price... Built from the ground up to be mass produced to lower costs by scale. I agree, GM did an amazing job with this Truck... Looks great in and out. BUT... and this goes with all these Trucks... I'm not paying 100k for a truck. So they can show off these trophies as much as they want but if they want my money, the prices need to go way back down to reality.

This truck is pretty sweet. I still see a Ridgeline / Avalanche look to it. And the price is insane... not to include the markups.. With that being said, this truck is very nice. The interior is great in this GMC.

Well GMC has been listening to the people. I like the extra range and also the fast charging to get 100 miles of range. My biggest concern and I’m sure everyone can agree is the range. I don’t really tow much maybe some ATV’s to go to the ranch but the further I can go and the less I have to stop and charge the better. This is definitely number one on my list for EV trucks.

This is really a big improvement over the Silverado EV! It looks more like a Sierra than the Silverado EV looks like a Silverado. One thing I'm not a fan of is that giant tablet screen, but otherwise GMC did very well.

I love the Silverado’s design. Mostly because I loved the avalanche.
it is crazy how quickly the EV trucks are evolving. i loved the pass through cab on the avalanche and glad to see it back.
This is a beautiful looking truck. I like the functionality of the truck, great styling, and what appears to be great range with the ability to get 100 miles range off just a few minutes of charge. I’m looking forward to first drives with this truck, I anticipate that it will be a smooth driver and a competent everyday driver.
This one is definitely going to be on my bucket list. Especially as a rideshare driver. I would love to drive this beauty during my shifts

Can you name the ones currently running on the streets. Bolt which they had to drop it's price to sell them and the limited production $100,000+. Hummer. All these new pick up trucks are over 1 year from availability to consumers.

I really liked the silhouette of the Avalanche, but that horrible black cladding was a real turn off. It's good to see that GM finally did the Avalanche right with the Denali and the Silverado. Gr8 vid as usual, sir. 🚙 🇺🇸
I love it. Big gmc fan. My first vehicle was 1989 gmc ext cab. I love they finally added a panoramic sunroof. The aggressive styling is nice to look at. And the fact that is an ev is even better. The numbers look great and I can’t wait to get one.

I hope GM isn’t overdoing it with the introduction of all their new vehicles. if they’re still having trouble getting supplies, and the economy is going into a recession, I don’t want to see them cutting corners in the future because of financial trouble.

This truck is so sick GMC is really setting themselves ahead of Ford especially, when it comes to that 400 miles of range. Also I’m very happy with the fact a normal ev truck will now have four wheel steering definitely will help in parking lots and such. All in all very impressive I can’t wait to buy one in 10 years lol

If heated seats, ventilated seats, heated stirring wheel, massage seat for driver seat at least and a nice 12 or more speakers then this is the GOD of ALL Trucks! 400 mile range is Amazing! I like it. Just not sure how I feel about the instrument cluster, with it just sticking up out of the dash like an ipad seems like a bit of an afterthought. Also when looking at the infotainment, I saw heated seats but did not see ventilated seats. Hopefully GMC has that on the production model, otherwise it would be a massive zonk at 107k

Definitely pick of the bunch both exterior and interior, missing the blingage where there grill would be is the only “meh” aspect for me, perhaps it could be addressed with a Denali “Ultimate”… some smoked chrome faux grill detailing would set this truck off I reckon 👍🏼
The tires suggest that it's still a prototype, but I guess some of us are now excited for 2024! 🛻

It's interesting. I prefer the Screens/dash of the ICE Sierra. I do like the back wall passthru. I think it would look better with Vader Chrome moldings instead of gloss black.

Not sure how I feel about there being this and a Hummer under the same company but I do appreciate that the interiors are unique between this the Hummer and the Silverado

@@KevTheHunter1 Agreed, this Sierra EV actually resembles a traditional Sierra quite nicely, while also integrating a few modern/futuristic design elements at the same time. All around, this is a really badass Electric truck.
Can't say the same about the Silverado EV however... That thing looks absolutely hideous, inside and out! It's literally an Avalanche. Don't know why Chevy didn't just call it that instead.

This EV Truck looks totally amazing! The price is a little more than I want to pay, but I still love it.
Stylistically, this is a really impressive and cohesive design. Long term durability we'll have to wait and see.
The only issues GM are having with their ev’s especially with the hummer is just software.

Soooo, I preordered the Tesla Cyber Truck back in June of 2020 one night while I was drinking Johnny Walker. Fast forward to now. I stopped drinking over a year a go, and just cancelled my Cybertruck order after using my abacus to determine affordability. Thank you for reviewing this ultra clean truck.
I like this truck over the competition. Reminds me of a real truck up front similar to the F-150 Lightening but has the range and comfortt of a GM. It looks spacious too. At the Orange County auto show, that was one thing my wife and I couldn't understand was the small size of the F-150 back seat yet a full size cab. Finally, the Silverado EV is too futuristic in the front end and reminds me more of an Avalanche than a Silverado.
I love how GMC did a nice job making luxury versions of their pickups trucks, I wish there is an EV version of the Terrain

Absolutely amazing what GMC did. I like how basically the Chevy Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV are Avalanches, but they did it in a way that pays respect to it. Looking forward to seeing what the future holds.

Joe, while I have no objection to the evolution of these various EVs, I'd be willing to bet that the automakers are getting way ahead of themselves in this process. The vast majority of the driving public has no interest in these overpriced EVs and I am in that group. I believe the more realistic process should include many more hybrid options with a smaller percentage devoted to the EV market. That said, this particular truck is really very cool.
It is really interesting the push especially towards these high dollar ev vehicles. They are great show pieces, but what type of volume are they actually expecting? 100k+ especially given the current economic downturn seems like a weird market to focus on. Disjointed reply, but this all seems rushed and short sighted.

Absolutely beautiful but I bought a maverick xlt hybrid out the door for 26200 out the door does all I need for me just can't justify 100 grand for a truck that dealers will mark up for more technology will change for the better I'll wait! Ps I'm getting 47 to 52 mpg saved at least 80 grand over the gmc! Sorry
