Does having accounting/finance internships help with landing a job as well? You mentioned that they particularly look for drive, interest, and communication skills

I would say having an accounting/finance internship would definitely help. If you are looking for a full time position straight out of college, then I think having a finance/accounting internship would be very helpful for you to be chosen for an interview and be strongly considered for the role. I hope this helps!

    Hello Chris,
I hope I find you well. A problem that I am currently facing is that I think I am too late for an internship. I am a recent transfer student and have finished my rough first semester (fall) at uni. I recently found out I was suppose to apply to internships “yesterday”. I went over to the career center and fixed up my resume by the end of the semester.
    What do I do?
I don’t know whether to be mad at my schools lack of guidance or at being a transfer student from the start.
What do you think? Thank you

Hey Blank, so I understand your frustration, but I won’t count yourself out yet.
While summer internships are probably already booked, you could still get yourself ready and apply for a winter internship this spring. I would make sure to go to all the recruiting events and make yourself visible to the recruiters.
If I may ask, what college year are you?
