I just got this monitor but sadly my unit came with fw 0.10 so it's not compatible with either of the profiles you posted. Hopefully MSI releases the 0.18 fw for everyone soon
Good, thank you very much for the settings, one question, I have downloaded the .icc profile from your web page, but I have activated it and I don't notice absolutely no change, however with others I do notice it, is it normal? I mean the changes are almost imperceptible?
That's "normal" as the settings change made to the OSD get the screen to a position where it is as close to the correct gamma, white point and colour temp as possible. in the case of this screen it can get very close already through those changes. The calibration and creation of the profile does a couple of things. firstly it will make further (minor) corrections to the gamma and colour accuracy, but because it was so close before these won't be immediately obvious to the naked eye. It's not like activating the profile will make sudden massive, obvious changes - it actually ideally should never do that for any screen, as the screen should ideally be as close as possible before the profile has to make corrections. secondly it will carry out colour space corrections to map the native gamut (assuming you've left the screen in the native wide gamut mode?) back to sRGB for use in colour aware applications. one way to potentially see this in action is to create a simple red/green/blue image in paint. save it, open it in windows photo app (the default) and you should see those colours alter a little, especially red, when you enable and disable the profile. that's the profile carrying out the sRGB emulation within that app. i just tried that on my screen and saw the changes it was making. to see that in action you'd prob need a good way to be able to enable/disable the profile quickly and easily. anyway, rest assured it's carrying out the further corrections on top of the monitor recommended settings :)
i wish there was a guide for the AW3423DWF i got told that i should remove the icc profile and put srgb creature mode instead of DCI-P3 but imo it looks really dull and bad i dont get why the built in icc was calibrated for dci-p3 mode when most content is srgb

I got mine today and it came with FW 0.08. I do wish to get the 0.18 too because it has more settings too.
