- Ferrari has a new deputy team boss - a person who, until recently, held that role at Mercedes, and who you may remember from the back of the F1 grid.

Ferrari is building a super team and I’m up for it
Newey is joining in too
@@orpattmaks490well his not
@@ballooncoast848no evidence to say he is or isn’t
@@ballooncoast848only other option would be Audi but obviously he wants to be competitive so he’ll go to Ferrari. He’s spoken about wanting to work with Lewis and guess what team Lewis is going to? You’ll never guess it. Hint they’re the pride of motorsport and wear scarlet.
You think they can finally fix that shrinking* leather and shit electronics?
Elkan really gave Fred Vassuer a blank check and said "Do whatever the fuck you want with it".
They can't, there is a budget cap, which shows than Vasseur is really cooking
@@anash7 eh it depends. The cost cap doesn't count employee bonuses for example which is where that blank check theory can really come in handy. Also the top 3 highest paid staff plus the drivers also do not factor into the cost cap. That would include people like Fred Vasseur.
@@anash7the cost cap doesn’t apply for employee salaries
@@cereal-killer4455They do except the drivers and the team principal. Document yourself !!

I’d still view Vowels as Wolff’s successor, he’s been loaned to Williams to train him up for the Merc role like Russell was.
I wonder what Vowels would do to reverse or at least stabilise the Merc decline
Ebb and flow is part of F1, every great team like lotus, McLaren, Williams and Ferrari have gone through periods of obscurity to come back many years later for championships. Merc need to have patience and need to be in it for the competition. Tucking tail and running when they are down is not a good look for a brand
Especially with the experience of being in a very unfunded team. Vowles could really make a difference
I hope this is a good omen that they will manage to sign Newey
Ferrari isn’t important enough for that
Let's see if Fred Vasseur can work the magic like how Jean Todt/ Ross Brawn did
When Ferrari hiring a non italian TP...you know shit is about to get real
I believe Mattia Binotto was swiss, not italian
@@TrifAdrian simple google is enough buddy..he's swiss-born italian engineer
@@TrifAdrianin case his accent and his name isn't ring any bells to you, he's indeed an Italian.
Vasseur's pull is next level
Pretty sure I just heard another set of headphones being smashed, anyone else?
Exciting times to be a tifosi!
Red silver war between Charles and Lewis yes it will be funn time in that Red car F1 team like LEWIS and Nico in Mercedes of course if Ferrari have Rocketship came 2026 new regulations changes😂
Ferrari is cooking up a mean pasta
Ferrari is not just signing Lewis to it's colours but also his teammates. Lewis will be the main driver in Ferrari for sure.
Fred is cooking!
I remember him from the first season of The Grand Tour where he drove laptimes in the 3 hypercars: LaFerrari, 918, and P1
Toto needs to stop dreaming of max and focus in his own team
Ferrari collecting infinity stones.
It would seem Ferrari's board is finaly done with Enzo's spirit appearing in the middle of the night to berate them.
And its about damn time.
They gave in to the voices fr
At this point, Mercedes is a victim of their own success. 🤝🏼
Ferrari doesn't care about budget cap at the moment 😂
Zero F’s!
the budget cap does not include employee wages, only car development
They clearly do. That’s why they’re getting the best of the best to mitigate waste.
@@MentalParadoxcar development IS employee wages. Why did Mercedes massively reduce their staff if employee wages were excluded from the budget cap?
@@MentalParadox what is excluded from the budget cap are driver costs & the salary of the top 3 paid staff. So, Max & Lewis can be paid $50+ million per year, without affecting the cap. But, when it comes to director level staff, it's a juggling act 😁 So, Ferrari get to pay Vasseur, Newy as much as they want, but who's the third in line for a bumper salary?
Simple - Merc just can't operate in the budget cap era.
That and due to the stop of engine performance dev, Honda surpassed them, they now had lost their competitive advantage, which was their super strong Power Unit, RB and Horner villain arc succeeded in putting down Mercedes.
Frodo Baggins
Guys we've to admitt that Mercedes have polished many stones.
While trying to publicly fan the flames to get Red Bull to disintegrate, Wolff didn’t realize Ferrari has been stealing furniture from his house bit by bit.
Ferrari is like collecting all the dragon ball in this situation
Mercedes in the process of imploding with RedBull not far behind.
Yes and no but Red bull still have Pierre Waché only way i see Red bull is fall down is Max leave them for another team in my opinion
The budget cap rule, I fear, left out pre/post employment perks. Top teams(especially Ferrari)can offer maybe “charity donations” or “points” for post-employment contributions to wins. I’m not knocking it, it’s genius but, the order always stands. People who operate in government are always behind the curve as compared to innovators, entrepreneurs, and businessmen. There’s a reason we have innovators and regulators. Those “charities” that Ferrari will fund for Lewis will probably render 2-10% of its funding to the actual people they allegedly help.
Ferrari engineer salary: $35,000 a year
Ferrari engineer bonuses: $20 million a year 😂
If Ferrari manages to get Newey, on top of all these other new staff members, it would be hard to bet against them in the future. Seems like Vasseur is doing his best to bring the team back ti the very top.
....VASEUR HAS NOTHING WITH THAT, THO.....JUST LOTS OF COINCENDENCES LIKE REDBULL FALLING APART AND LEWIS DECIDED TO RETIRE
......
what does "Chassis performance engineering" mean ?
I still remember him winning the Morocco ePrix.
I know him from testing McLaren P1, Ferrari La Ferrari and Porsche 918 in the grand tour.
Fred was given the Ferrari business credit card and went shopping
I remember this guy.
It's so over for Mercedes this year
Soon toto wolf will also be the team principal and in the pit crew
The CVs are flying between the teams
Definitely a step up.
This is like the galatico team.
Is he the one that drove grand tour's P1, 918, and La Ferrari?

Rise of Ferrari vs Mclaren again
Untill Max leave Red bull then we say is their downfull Untill then Nah or just i say red bull and Max still winning Untill atleast the new regulations engine changes from 2026
Lewis really that ex wife that took everything when they have a divorce

Ferrari cooking an 8 course meal 😏
Ferrari is going to be dangerous in 2026. They are literally hiring all the big shots for a super team
Mercedes Brain Drain confirmed 😢
Let Freddie cook!
Help me understand, what is a deputy team boss and how is it different from team principal?
look at it as Prime Minister/Vice President. That job was Laurent Mekies before he went on to be TP. He basically can replace Team Principal when he is not there (He stays in factory instead of traveling). Represents team in meetings with FIA/Stewards etc.
@@tunisiandom9318 ohhh okay. Thank you for this very helpful!
At this rate, Ferrari should be investing in silver paint
Hamilton's master plan is taking shape.
What has gone wrong at merc?
Losing the Engine Advantage, didnt understood the regs, limuted funds due to costcaps(they spent a lot before, for make two versions of car to adapt the most tracks, now the do one and toss a coin if it works or not), and due to the stop of engine power dev, they lost the last advantage that made them a top team, with also lose most of the figures that made them on top, now Mercedes back on midfield like early 2010s, which hurt me as a Mercedes fan, but hoep that one day they rise again like a phoenix, to the winning side(i know they still 4th on constructor, but for a team that won 8th of the last 10 years its a huge fall).
Once a never has been, always a never has been!
How to destroy a team? 😂😂😂😂😂😂
This feels weird Mercedes isn't doing goof tight now, but more importantly they haven't been since the rule changes. Meaning everyone they're signing and have been signed are all in some part responsible for for thr teams current form which on paper makes this talent recycle look really foolish
Does he make good custard tho
Made a comment to a friend the other day that it wouldn't surprise me if Toto Wolff starts offloading his stake in the team before the value diminishes. Watching this, with the number of people leaving, I'm even more sure he will. Anyone else think this?
Is this a product of Lewis going to Ferrari recruiting Mercedes people?
whats so special bout Jerome?
Great Manager, Toto trusted Right Hand, leading man when Toto not on Paddock.
Will farrari have silver stripes on the car in 2025
.....GUYS, 2026 WILL BE MUCH *_WORSE_* THAN 2023 IN TERMS OF *DOMINANCE*

Merc’s a sinking ship
Wolf is driving away all the Mercedes talents
Ferrari realised that people win championships, not brands. You can't just win a trophy because you're Ferrari. Thank god they're investing
they knew that since Vasseur stepped in. And remember this whenever the french man leads the Maranello team "the last time a french man in charge for TP, the team won trophies and titles".
The Italians at Ferrari had too much pride and internal politics . Fred Vaseur being an outsider has brought in another perspective.

Mercedes is fd, sorry guys, this team is definitely back to the midfield, or worse, with the alpines at the back.
I'm a Ferrari - Redbull fan but with all these Ferrari development signing new people they just gotta deliver on track no matter who's who in the team.
Lol they don't care about budget cap 🤣
more clickbait trying to make this seem bigger then it is LMFAO, all the Netflix viewers in the comments not realizing switches like this happen literally all the time.
You sound like that old employee that doesn’t get on well with new co workers because you “have been with the company 20years” gtfoh
Not exactly a diverse hire, Lewis.
Hamilton needs every bit of help to have the edge over his competition as we now know he's not even close to winning a single race in anything less than the outright fastest car in F1.
Be reminded the only one winning races right now is the one in the fastest car. And you can’t Norris because Max was not in full form. So what’s the difference?
@@dpjohnjones432 Max was already winning when he was in the 3rd fastest car, that's the difference.
