I’m a Mercedes Fan, and always will be. But I’m sick of the way they are treating Louis!!!
He deserves the upgrades first because he is the best driver.
But this year they choose to sabotage him and act like George Russell is a better driver than Lewis Hamilton.

@@francescotrombetta8548 I think Ferrari and Leclerc are praying that becomes true. Hamilton is at the end of a fabulous career whereas Charles has not quite begun his yet. Hamilton’s role at Ferrari is as much about mentoring ( the whole team) as actual driving. - Fred isn’t stupid buddy….
@@philtucker1224 it will be the same as Schumacher and Rosberg (with people underestimating the younger driver and overrating the 7x world champions future performances)
@@francescotrombetta8548 yes that could well become true, although Leclerc has been around for a few years now and hasn’t performed that well (since Ferrari had to “downgrade” their engine specification to ensure the correct fuel compliance a few seasons back..) Still, if you are right, that will be welcome news for Charles and his management group..
If Ferrari can provide a winning car (not based on dnf from max) this will surely motivate Lewis to fight for championship!
Love the pod cast, opens up many unknowns in the F1 Business, it would be great if you could get Damon Hill on the show, ( if his contract with Sky allows it] Damon F1 world champ drove for EJ and Williams, the Senna situation, the SchumacherS incidents, being unceremoniously dumped by Frank Williams and that dreaded Yamaha Engine, Etc, Etc

Smedley joining Lewis, do you want to crush Massa's soul? That might send him over the edge, and Massa seems like he gets further out on edge year after year, especially after the Brazil race has finished.

I can’t believe Massa thinks he’s got a legitimate claim. If losing the title to Lewis because Glock was on the wrong tyres constitutes a legitimate claim, then Lewis has a slam dunk case against Michael Masi!

It's a shame because I used to have a soft spot for Massa for taking Brazil 2008, his head injury, and being forced to being number 2 to Alonso, on the chin with grace. There's great admirability in maintaining a good attitude in rough times even if you're not the best and don't achieve much, much like Martin Brundle, Johnny Herbert, Rubens Barrichello etc.
Now he's currently destroying the one thing we can look back on his career fondly about, cause lets face it he was never an Alonso, a Raikkonen, a Hamilton, not even a Button. but if being given a title in court nearly 2 decades on makes him happy, then what can I say?

Not a fan of either but clinically I want to see if Lewis and Ferrari can work well together. I always presume that people are conditioned to a certain way of working if you have been with a team as long as Lewis has.
It took Fred a year to reorganize the team to show some progress. I hope that they give Lewis some time to adjust.

I mean as a kid I lived for a while in Holland speaking English to my Dutch schoolmates who learned English from US tv and films and when we got back people said I spoke with a US accent.

It’s Lewis Hamilton. It’s always more than just driving. No other driver brings this appeal. Hence Ferrari gave him whatever he wants.
@@izieky yes. I’d like to think that gaining Hamilton (and doubtless some of his colleagues) is Ferrari’s best chance of a renaissance since Michael and Ross. Let’s hope so anyway. We really need some more championship winning teams other than just Merc and RB for the good of the sport, and to return to the sport of the good…
If you had put Verstappen in a V10 from the 90s, he would have had a career ending injury before the end of his first season.

Lewis has the ability, Ferrari doesn't. Vasseur will give them the best chance they've had in years, but I see the Ferrari nature will win over. It's a shame, because it would be great to see Ferrari do well. But it is the team where the best drivers go to start the decline of their careers. Schumacher and Raikonnen are just the exceptions to the rule.

I think Charles will be quicker than Lewis. I think Ferrari cannot sustain winning form for an entire season, for a long time now, and that 2025 will be no exception.
