Well in the last 45 +++ years not one driver has gone on to win but a handful of races after 40. The albatross that is the actual age of four-zero is brutal. Yes Mansell won 38-39 years of age, but he had perhaps to many the greatest car ever and once he was the ACTUAL 40 he was a shell of himself. Father time is undefeated.

I watched Senna, Schumacher, Vettel, Hamilton over the years…I have no doubt Max is the best. Even engineers looking at the GPS data and telemetry could tell you this.

With a paddle shift F1 car, Max will be close to Senna in qualifying and close to Schumacher in the race. But in say a 1970s car with stick shift, minimal engineering help, Senna would kill it. Lewis would perform the same as Max.

They'd all crash into each other as they all liked the "let me pass or we both crash" manoeuvre .

Senna and Schumacher were beaten by the likes of Piquet, Mansell, Prost, Häkkinen, Villeneuve. I have no doubt they could also beat Verstappen in a competitive car. I also have no doubt Jordan has more intelligent things to say.

Eddie being delusional. Max is nowhere near either of the other two. He's fine a mile up the road when he doesn't have to overtake anyone. Can't race cleanly. Driving against a lacklustre teammate helps too.

In wheel to wheel battles how many times did Max do something to his fellow competitor on a race track and hardly got penalize for it. Before the start of the 2021 season Max had the most penalty points against his super license in F1. And all of a sudden his dirty driving record never got mention but his apparently a great driver. Any driver can be fast in a single lap. But not any one can be fast in closing gaps or extending leads in races. During the 2021 before you STRAPPON boys get a boner Max was in the fastest car and yet got beaten by Lewis in a weaker car. But we all know he got made a champion by politics.

It’s a nonsense debate to begin with, but also. The other two did it with different teams across multiple championships. And they were also in a more competitive field with more competitive cars. Comparatively.

Don’t know why ppl rate max so high, he wins in an Adrian Newey car. Other greats beat great drivers that drove Adrian Newy cars. Schumacher 96 won in a terrible Ferrari against Adrian newy cars, that’s exceptional talent.

Max is a great driver but he wouldn’t never beat Senna or Schumacher… especially during the rain conditions, nobody was faster than Senna… Max fun boys can’t accept that IoI note: Senna was driving manual cars, imagine if they had all this technology we have now? DRS, etc, etc…

Sport and sportsmen are always advancing. Fitness, reactions etc seem to improve with each generation. Grow a Senna alongside Max, same experiences, inputs i think he would beat Max, (i believe he probably had the most natural ability) just bring him back as he was, now and Max would win. Same as Senna would beat Clark and Clark would beat Fangio. You can never compare different generations, its difficult enough to compare even when they are in the same race with different machinery and at different points in their careers.. its same in football, my hero Bobby Moore or even Pele wouldnt last half a modern game. There is no GOAT

I agree Max is better than Schumacher but Senna is THE GOAT... 65 poles positions in 10 years of 16 GP per year that's something huge... How much poles has Max in 10 years of F1 with +/- 22 GP per year ? 39... Don't forget Ayrton debut in 1984 at Monaco when on a bad car he was going to win but they took it away from him... he could have won 8 times the Monaco GP in 10 starts... Max has something special but Senna was on another level.

We saw Max only in Red Bull. Soooo, Senna did changed teams and was always on top. Schumacher changed teams aswell and was also on top. What he did in Ferrari has nobody done before or after and many have tried - Massa, Alonso, Vettel, Leclerc....Schumacher still stands with Hamilton on the highest stepstone. Verstappen could be another Vettel, time will tell
