@@GrassDaddy Exact same mower I bought and it came in last week! well it was bent and messed up, but instead of getting another new one for the 500 it cost they are making me get it repaired at my local toro dealer. Nothing you would rather have more when you spend that much then have to get it pretty much refurbished

I bought a small TORO to get into the tight places. Great little machine. It starts EVERY TIME on the first pull.
i picked mine up yesterday! Haven't mowed yet, need another week before my St Augustine is ready...can't wait
I just unboxed this beast last weekend to replace my year old HRX. I'm really impressed. The cut quality is MUCH better especially cutting high.
Definitely nice but i will stick with my 1986 Toro Super Recycler with the 2- cycle Suzuki engine with blade brake clutch and 3 speed rear wheel drive transmission with grease fittings. No new mower will ever top that 34 years later still going strong!

I’ve used Toro for last 10 years but last year bought a Honda 21 inch HRX for 749 and it kicks Toros butt . I’m hoping at 60+ years old it’ll last me a lifetime

I just bought the 60v toro flex force, cuts like butter. It uses the same chasis and functions as the recycler.
I've had a couple super recyclers. They are great mowers. You'll find they are more maneuverable than your Honda and lighter weight. The Super Recycler will also produce slightly smaller mulch clippings. The problem I had with them was wheel tracking more than other mowers. The wheels are thin and rounded. I prefer the Honda HRX's for this reason.

I did my 3rd mow of the year a few days back. My grass has been growing crazy fast this year! Still rocking my 8yr old snapper, need to sharpen.
my Snapper high-vac 3.5 hp 21" mower i bought new in 1988 still mowing fine starts on 1st pull !

Many years ago, a neighbor of ours had zoysia grass and in the spring he would do a controlled burn of his entire yard. That burned off the dead and brown, which was everything above ground. In summer, his entire yard looked like one big golf green.

Love my PP Toros. Mine are older and don't even have numbers or letters on height adjustment. They always start on the first pull.
Ran my Toro for 17 years. Always one pull start. Still runs but is needing some carburetor work I think. I’m deployed so it’ll have to wait. Mine has the Tecumseh motor. Instead of messing with it the wife grabbed the new Honda HRN with blade stop.
I have mukched leaves when i didnt think it could make them disappear. Piles higher than the mower. If you start to plow the leaves just lift the from of the mower high enough so you aren't plowing and mulch once then go over it a second time as normal and they will disappear we normally take 3 truck loads out of the back yard we now take a short bed truck bed out

Thanks for the nice review. Did Toro correct the problem with the Personal Pace transmission getting stuck when you pull back on the mower to back up with it? I've had a problem with this with several toro personal pace units I've tried. Everytime you pull back on the mower and then want to go forward, the wheels appear to get stuck. I hope they fixed this issue.
Never seen this issue
The problem remains. Just replaced my 15 year old mower with the 2020. When you pull back...you drag the tires. I have found that if when you back up...if you SNAP the personal pace bar back sharply...you can largely eliminate this bug.

Just purchased the 2023 model with electric start.
the deck is much different.
The deck you have is the same as my 2017 Recycler.
The mulching is MUCH better on this new one as well as having the 190cc engine which under mulching works much better than the 163cc
Recycler.
Do not get me wrong, my 2017 has been a great cutting machine but due to my terrain I needed to upgrade and have the 5 year warranty as my terrain abused the drive train, not myself as I have replaced gears and wheels twice within those five years.
Seems transmission keeps up so that is a positive as the Super recycler has the same transmission.

I have the Toro 4 X 4 all wheel drive because part of my lawn is hilly and it works great. I tried the neighbors Honda and it just killed me on the hill plus did not cut as good as the toro.
Bought the 2020 super recycler and looking at all the reviews on CZcams. Not one person has said how you switch from bagging to mulching. Specifically if you need a mulching plug and if so does it come included or does it have to be purchased separately? Can someone help me out with this?

Tip for unboxing a mower. Razor knife one end of the box at the corners, like a flap. Let the "flap" lay flat and just roll the mower out! 😁👍

Yes on bumps it will stutter. I caught it on camera and need to do an update video that reminds me!

I just bought this mower a few weeks ago! Its our first mower after having a hand-me-down for this last year in our first home. I played around with it for a day but it wasn't quite time for mowing yet XD can't wait to get at it.

I bought last years model Super Recycler last fall. I absolutely love it. It mulches extremely well. One thing the owners manual didn't mention is there's some grease zerks on the front wheels that need to be greased from time to time... or maybe it's the back. Anyway take a look, I'm sure they are there. Great video Tim.

Whe you are looking at the air filter at 1:58 (or at 10:49 when you are checking out the gas tank) , you can see a nipple looking thing coming from the gas tank with an opening going to the air filter. How do I know it's an opening you may ask, even though I had a different model with the triangular shaped filter, mine (as many others have reported on the HD website) leaked gas from there, soaked my filter and dripped onto the deck. I would only leak when mowing, would not leak while stored in vertical position. Does anybody know what the purpose of that nipple is? 🤔
@keith cunningham hi, I never filled the tank to the very top. I emailed my local Toro dealer, showed them the pics of the leaking nipple, they said theirs (Same model) didn't have that nipple. Returned my to HD, and went and got theirs. And what do you know, it doesn't have that nipple.
It looks pretty sweet but not as sweet as my Suzuki 2 cycle recycler. I just love the Suzy Q!
Bought this same model from Home Depot a few days ago and I'm already noticing sputtering issues with the Briggs engine like a few other people have had. Not sure if I'm returning it yet. Sucks cuz I really like everything else about it.

I can't decide between the Honda or the Toro drive control systems. Since you've used both, which do you prefer? Which do you think is better for slopes and bumpy lawns?
I would recommend the Honda. I have one and it never lets me down. Very good on hilly/bumpy yards.

Honda HRX217 series plastic deck - belt and pulley transmission, or their Commercial line with metal deck - drive shaft transmission HRC216 series. Less than a half acre HRN216 series

looking at toro, honda and ybravo push mowers. Trying to stay clear of the usual 21 wide deck, looking at 25 plus, but dont want to spend a ridiculous amount of $$ on one
Good luck. 25 inch mowers are commercial and will cost upwards of $1,000. And dont buy MTD.
So, you didn't mention the motor oil came with it and should be added. By looking at this video, who would know, you are assuming everyone knows this. Also, started very easily as well. My last Toro lasted over 20 years, the body fell apart, but the Honda engine will last forever, not certain the Briggs and Stratton. I found it's hard to pull back, it moves great, but hard to go backwards. I have St Augustine, it cuts with no issues.

@@jessesossamon7408 I bought the HRX for $654.oo plus tax last year. Big mistake!. Hard to maneuver. Pain in the butt to have to engage and hold the blade lever. Its speed is adjusted with a selector cable 1 thru 8 or so. It also does a terrible job mulching. I thought with the twin blade it would be great. It sucks. I'm giving it to my daughter this year and going to try a Toro Super Recycler.
Can Toro send me one so I can throw away my Troy-Bilt. Bought that my first year ever having a lawn, before I got the green thumb. Hooked on Toro now just don't have the coin to spend on a new mower.
Daniel Neuenschwander buy a used super recycler. I have a small landscaping business and am using a 2004 super recycler personal pace. Runs like a champ still.

You could use a paint marker and draw the height in inches over the letters. Or some kind of label maker.
The carb connection on these is bad. Itll sputter on bumps. Take a look. The mounting bracket was manufactured wrong or just bad design

Sun99% if you go to an actual toro dealer, normally they’ll happily let you try one at the dealership. But there’s this thing called rona and or the vid going around that changes that beautiful life we once had.

I am looking at this too, love the Smart Stow feature. They make this with the next larger engine, the B/S 190 cc, yours has the B/S 163 cc engine I think. I have seen some reports of engine sputtering, as if is flooding or running out of gas, when there is plenty in the tank.
Have you had any of that issue - sputtering, been most notable on inclines, rough/bumpy lawns, or shen bumping into trees, fences, etc.? Please let us know. Thanks
There is a design flaw with the intake jet in the carburetor
Look at your grass vs your neighbor...Toro should make sure you can do a descent review on nice grass..we can't even tell what you cut on that patchy lawn. Your information was good but you need to step your lawn game up for better reviews..12000 views is not selling a lot of mowers.
It's slowly waking up from winter. That spot is where traffic is the whole winter, the actual rest of the lawn is thick.
Toro? Nah. Honda hrx, oh yea. The 2020 Briggs & Stratton engine super recycler toros are having problems. Seen a few videos here on youtube about the engines sputtering while cutting.
Honda mowers are not good anymore. Best of both worlds is the Super Recycler with the Honda engine

WHY ARE YOU BAGGING ????? We are on our second super recycler the first one lasted 20 years it didn't have personal pace but it has a cast aluminum deck our current one has a Honda engine and the deck is better designed like yours WHY ARE YOU BAGGING?
