  • In this video I play yet another organ arrangement by my colleague, Lasse Toft Eriksen (his channel:‪@lassetofteriksen3101‬) The Ouverture from "Joshua" by G.F.Händel on my Hauptwerk Organ. This is a very grand movement so I chose the sample sets of Rotterdam sampled by Sonus Paradisi.
You all of course know Händel so here is a story you might do not know which I also wrote in the last video because I find so funny:
Handel's father did not approve of his son's love of music. His mother had to smuggle a small keyboard into the attic of their house. The young boy would play the instrument up there, in secret on his own, when his father was not around.
Thanks for being so kind to me and by humle work here on CZcams.
Please spread the word about my channel to other who might be interested in subscribing to an organ music channel on CZcams so we can grow this channel to 5000 subscribers 😜

Joshua one of the many fine oratorios written by Handel - great to hear it Philip - I have not heard this before - grand playing.

Just ethereal! But Georg Friedrich Händel has always been my favourite; my grandparents having introduced me to him on their prised 78 gramophone discs back home in England before I could even play! (And I've still a special spot for Händel even though my playing days are long over now.) Yet, for all my love of Händel, I never knew of his father's disapproval nor of his mother's aid & encouragement in secret, so thanks for that story!
See you for Vespers on the 6th coming: 2130 CEST, 2030 BST; 3.30 pm EDT! Cheers again!

Sounded great. Love watching the footwork although this piece wasn't as active as a lot of others. I enjoyed.
