Mudryk looked fantastic against Liverpool his first game. Lets give it time to see. He didn't exacscore a hatful before. Might take a year or so to mature into real player. Nunes at Charity Sheild hailed as better than Haaland last year. He is maybe about to come good. I see us 6th this year

Sometimes being selfish is good but in Rashford case absolutely no. Lack of finishing and decision making is still mediocre. He simply doesnt take chance and always try to find perfect shot.

bruno is gonna play the RW when amrabat comes in.. Eriksen gonna take brunos place, makes so much sense with hoejlund in the lineup.. need the early crosses and vision on the wing, and Eriksen needs to get relief from hes defensive duties.
They made full use of Hojilund's ability to hold up the play. As I thought, he's already physically built for the premier league.
His energy is very good
Hojlund looked immense when he came on. Onana and Antony also looked good. Positive signs from that game.
If He continues to run like that against Mid Table Teams, United are going to create a lot of Chaos.
He's full of Energy, keep him at distance from Anthony Martial.

His physicality, link up play and ability to pull off deft passes will give defenders nightmares. Made Gabriel earn his money unlike a certain martial and even though the garnacho goal was offside we all saw that pass he gave to Casemiro that took saliba out of the game and allowed the space for garna. He’s gonna surprise a lot of defenders with Ronaldo chops and similar passes like that. Only question now is to see his finishing, Brighton at home will be a good test.

Not really. At least not untill we learn to play with a no.9. This means wingers actually doing the job of wingers from time to time. Less Hollywood pass attempts from creative players. Faster tempos when in possession. Looking to pick out Højlund on long passes, crosses, corners and free kicks. Still alot needs to happen to get the best out of a no.9 and get us back to being dangerous team to play against.
Rashford is not really a winger
The only winger we have is pellistri
Højlund was good to see is what we as fans wanted, he is only goin go get better and score many many goals.
Also, against one of the best teams in the league I wish, so late in the game, Casemiro should have been switched to CB when Lindelof got injured, and Hanninal Mejbri as CDM, he is fast and front fotted. Evans is 35, coming in from the bench, cold, late in the game.
He has never scored many goals, and i can't see him starting now .....
@@barryh.4220 Hojlund is 20 years old. At 20 years old, Hojlund has scored more goals then the likes of Harry Kane, Osimhen, Vlahovic, Gabriel Jesus. Hojlund is going to score many many goals in the current campaign, also in the coming seasons ahead. No doubt in my mind, many many goals from Hojlund coming.

Jesus had outscored him by this age, Kane and Osh didn't get anywhere near a full season by this age so how are you adding them to the convo? Hojland has around a 1 goal in 4 appearances record which is dreadful considering most of his games have been played in the Danish and Austrian leagues
Not passing to Hojland on a couple of occasions was a big mistake they made this game.. hope the understanding improves within our fwd players..
The disallowed goal epitomises what we've been missing, a player that can actually recieve the ball in central spaces and involve those around him in play. Really excited to see how he develops.

Rashford should be creative in feeding the ball to Hojlund next time. Ferguson and Hojlund would be a great threat indeed but we need creativity in the mid and something better than MagEvans
I think Anthony just lacks cutting edge on the right hand side, does a good shift defensively if I am looking for a positive. With Amrabet in the squad i would play Bruno on the right I know its not ideal but can defo work as we would have better control of the ball. My starting 11 would be 4 4 2 rasford cassimiro armabat Bruno Erikson(garnacho)(((Sanchoo:-() Hoyland

7:40 on that situation .... Rashford was first alone at the box area ...getting ready to shoot then took to long time for the defense to reset again and that's why he happened to get blocked his shot cause I guess he got distracted by teamates arriving into the box or something ...camera view more focused on Rashy on that run so bit tricky but Football with shots sometimes is a game of inches / timing in the matter of when opponent defense is resetting

What are your thoughts on a few occasions in the first phase where we were just passing it between our defenders? It was really frustrating that we weren't progressing the ball with a simple pass into our wingers who could then go on to make something happen. It just seemed flat and purposeless.
Whereas Arsenal always look to drop into pockets of space and play the ball into those areas to make things happen.

Amrabat will help massively to progress the ball out of the defensive third surely ? Perhaps Odegaard doesn’t have all that space for the equaliser too if he was playing . With Hojlund & Amrabat I’m quite positive going forward this season .

One thing i like about Ganarcho is his shot will make you get on your feet. Just like Greenwood does. It a shame 😔 what had happened. Both of them and Rashford will be terrifying on the flanks.
They need to switch sides with Rashford and Anthony. We need more crosses in, and those two mostly play one-footed

Martinez last season had the worst goals conceded per game average of any Utd CB in the last half century, possibly of all time. Regularly and repeatedly humiliated in some of the most embarrassing defeats in the club's history. He has been an absolute disaster in the EPL. So has Varane

It's interesting to see that in some games City are playing with both Haaland and Alvarez. I think United with Højlund and Evan Ferguson playing together is a tantalising prospect. Both big, strong and fearless.

ETH has a tendancy of protecting players till he is fade up just like Jadon Sanchos case! Waiting the end game with Martial once we have another alternative
I don't think we should expect too much this season. It'll really be a set of games for ten Hag to fine tune his team's playing style. When everyone's fit he has a chance of winning something. But Maguire (he thinks too slow) and Sancho (not enough drive and indisciplined) are not Man Utd quality. Varane and Martial get injured too much. They are problems for the squad. Anthony had a solid game against Arsenal so I'm happy with him. Hojlund looks strong and energetic.
think people need to remember where we were after rangnick too...last season was a miracle....theres still a lot of work to build out a proper squad and with current financial model, it will take 3-5 years
I'm genuinely amazed at our club bringing in Evans. We are the biggest club on the planet alongside Madrid and can't even afford a full squad of players seemingly. It's impressive how poor our squad is given the insane resources on paper.
But the sad thing is, Rashy or Antony, none of them are interested in passing or crossing in those situations.
Think calling the first goal a counter attacking goal. Is a tad unfair to how we actually played leading up to the goal.
We had possession in our half encouraging Arsenal to press. When they did do it we slipped rashford in 1 on 1 and he did the rest. It was such a well worked goal with the lil one two passing around the Arsenal press allowing us to use our main threat.
Reminds a bit of how Bayern use to play some 4-5 years back.
When rasmus came on it was evident to see Arsenal shit themselves, is going to be some force.
The game evidently fell down to the last 10 mins garnachos goal is in then I think we see the game out.

More malleable youngsters need to be signed, especially in defence (CB), good on the ball, good recovery pace and preferably good 6ft+

Yet moments after scoring he failed to track odeguard into the box for a goal and was flat footed yards behind play
it's a bit more complicated, cause there was a huge open gap in the penalty box, that Eriksen chose to run in and cover. On a perfect day a CB had had that space, or another midfielder (just some other player) had run behind Eriksen and dealt with Odegaard.
Eriksen has never been a defensive midfielder, so I don't understand why Ten Hag try to transform him.

He didn't cause you many problems , you scored twice!

Rashford is a good counter attacking striker, and given a chance, he likely to score a goal.

I personally don't think we will ever win the PL or CL while he's a starter at the club.
to me, he's kinda lazy off the ball most of the time (not a dealbreaker, plenty of forwards who are lazy in defence) and he's selfish (again, not a dealbreaker) but the most important thing is I think his "Football IQ" is not very high, his passing isn't good, his off the ball movement is bad (except for counter attacking runs) and he is too right footed.
and he's not the type of player we need to play ETH style of football. and his presence in the team breaks down our attack.
while he is in our team, we will always be a counter attacking team. and while we may go on good runs, we will never win PL or CL with him in our team.
he's a good enough player for the top 6 teams, but he's not good enough to win titles. and while he's in the starting line up, and one of our main guys, we won't win anything of importance.

Possesion means nothing if all you do is pass it around your box.
Is it that hard to develop some young academy players instead of playing Maguire and Evans, we need something urgently to address the defence.
The moment I saw Licha down and Maguire coming on I knew United gonna loose, then came Evans I thought its gonna be a disaster! Maguire and Evans can't keep up with the league's pace
At the end of the second half United with Maguire and Evans dropped too deep and gave up possession too easily.
Its like bittersweet, played well could of won it, even with all the injuries. Dont know how Evans got a contact, surely there is a young player give a chance too. Arteta learned a lot from the previous meetings with Ten Hag. He just told his players to let United have the ball in their own third and conserve energy.
Because they can't do anything with it if the opposing team is sitting firm in the middle of the pitch and not over-extending.
Ten Hag just plays the same over and over again, hoping a bit of magic will get him the three points.

@@Qlicky Have you seen the game? We have absolutely horrendous form and disjointed midfield. ETH all summer was transforming to a new system with 2 dynamic mids (Mount and Mainoo or Mount and Bruno at the time) and had to ditch it dew to injuries. So what we have now is a disjointed midfield getting accustomed to a new system, hence why we lost the ball all the time in the second third - no one is familiar with their movement and positions in a new system yet. And we completely nullified Arsenal attack whole game, they didn't know what to do with our compactness in and infront of our box.
We are clearly work in progress but we did a lot better then last game shape wise and will get more and more familiar thruout the season. No need for doom and gloom panic.

ETH has improved Utd but after Ragnick the bar was very low. Hanging our hopes on an unproven 20 year old is desperate. They are so far off City it's hardly worth talking in terms of improvement, especially with the players we have.
It's 1 year into a project and you're after challenging City already. Talk about impatient. When Erik took over he said its a 3-4 year project to get to the top.

If that was offsides then VR should not even be in EPL. Some clubs are getting hammered by the refs, and some are getting calls that are never penalties or fouls. Our owners' board and recruiting people are just ass. Some players should never be wearing the jersey of this great club.
