Manchester United have got a genuine centre forward again in Rasmus Hojlund. He showed some real promise in that debut vs Arsenal and Sam explains the key aspects of that performance here.

If Murtough had any competence left in him, he should be telling ETH to prepare for his sale next summer to Saudi to rake in the cash just like what Liverpool did with Fabinho this recent window. What we have is a 20 yo Center Forward who actually wants to stay in the box and has the intelligence to make the correct movements and the finishing ability to get the job done once he gets in? And he has the pace of a winger, is 6'4, isn't too shabby in possession and has a pretty good first touch.
I always felt we should have gotten Cavani from Napoli instead of PSG, this kid here is the regen of that version of Cavani, a proper fox in a box who's also a very solid all round player. You could fit van Nistelrooy into literally any team in the world and he'd score a bag of goals, be it a Jose team or a Klopp team or a Pep team. When i watch the game, Ramus is much more then any other player, the first touch when he win the ball and back pass to Garnacho, 20mins dont have any blunder. When rashford choose to shoot instead pass to Ramus really frustrating.

If Rashford would have provided a simple through ball to Hojlund ( title pic in the video) we would have won the game... But no ...Rashford will never let anyone else score the goal.. think his salary is connected to no of goals he scored..

Rashford as a winger only wants to cut inside and shoot. At times he should keep his head up and look for the teammates who are better placed. I hope with time he will develop an instinct about the Hojlund movement in the box and will deliver some decent cross for our striker to score.

I think the missing piece for United this season would be those who has just played and haven't played. YES I am talking about Amrabat and Hoejlund. Onana is a good keeper and suited for our philosophy but people scapegoated him and ignored our center backs defensive frailties. We should have gotten Todibo.

Gabriel did well to defend him but Hojlund hasnt been on for very long, imagine this all game eventually a defender will crack, this will also open up way more space for Rashford, Bruno etc to overload them, also now with Amrabat we can have 2 cdms playing deep covering while we still have high press. My only worry now is all the injuries we have with our main CBs. We need to get rid of the deadwood and sign actual players that can compete
or replace injured players, its a piss take that we dont have that option.

At 8:47, i was expecting him to lob the ball immediately to the left as a means of being spatially aware that rashford would most like be on the back post. A one touch cross there would probably present a great opportunity for rashford as the Ramsdale was in no man's land if that cross came in.

    next lineup:
    Hojlund
    Garnacho Bruno Rashford
    Amrabat Casemiro
And who knows who will be healthy behind that other than AWB and Onana. I think Rashford is at his best on the left of course, but so is Garnacho and I think Rashford would adapt better to being on the right than he would at this point. Try it out Ten Hag!

Spot on, I hope for 10-15 goals, but the biggest difference will be the room and opportunity he can create for the rest of the offensive - if they quickly learn what his presence oblige the opponents defense to focus on. You cant leave him 1 on 1, sooner or later he will leave that defender behind him, forcing two CB to be near him all the time.

I think united need to get youngsters to start to dominate the attacking lineups. Rasmus, pellistri, garnacho. They are hungry, they will attack, defend, run, press and very importantly they will keep their mouths shut, listen to the manager and let their feet do the talking.
Just keep bruno, casemiro, amrabat (soon) at the center to lead.
Well its just a feeling, i'm no football expert, i just love it.
