- Born in Copenhagen, Denmark on the 4th February 2003, Rasmus Winther Højlund is a full Danish international who plays for Atalanta. Hojlund began his career at Boldklubben 93 but was quickly snapped up by Brondby at the age of 12. Hojlund then spent time at Holbaek before signing for local team, FC Copenhagen in 2017. In 2020, Hojlund made his professional debut as a last minute substitute against Aarhus GF going on to make his full debut 6 weeks later against AC Horsens. The following season, Hojlund made his European debut in the Conference League - scoring 5 goals in just 232 minutes of action and earning himself a move to Sturm Graz in January 2022. Hojlund only spent 7 months across two seasons in Austria but racked up 12 goals and 4 assists in just 21 appearances and guided Sturm Graz to a 2nd place finish. Taking note of this, Atalanta swooped for the Danish youngster - signing him on a 5 year contract and spending a reported 15 million pounds on him, 10 times as much as Sturm Graz spent in January. Since then, Hojlund has gone on to make 29 appearances for Atalanta, scoring 8 goals and registering 3 assists but where does he play and is he the next Haaland? Dave , one thing I think you undersold is his ball control and ability to take the ball under pressure. He is a phenomenal prospect- hope we sign him.

I can see why so many are classing this lad as the next Haaland as both have similar kinda traits. Hojlund has to be one of the strikers United sign this summer. He's just switched to the same agency that represents Ten Hag which is interesting & he's a massive United fan. This lad will become one of the best in the world & I generally believe he'll become world class under Ten Hag. He's lethal with either foot has good technique can link the play & hold the ball up well & is pretty rapid for a big man. Really hope United sign him

He's hardly a haaland he's scored 9 goals in 32 games ffs . There's much better players than him ie kono muani who has scored 15 and 11 assist in 32 games. Plus 1 goal for France in 3 games. 54 games he's had 35 goal involvements and valued at 65mill.

It's not about finding next Haaland, we had a dearth of proper no 9 players for a long enough period, also most previous generation of strikers are about to retire, there is a void coming in top clubs, and people are now looking to fill them with young potentials, since these positions were filled for some time, many young potentials never made it to the top where they could go levels beyond because of the quality of coach, manager and players around them, now we are seeing the next generation, Haaland, Sesko, Hojlund, Jonathan David, Nunez, Muani etc some of them will continue to be consistent and will become the new top strikers, and many will fail to fulfill their potential due to issues like injuries or personal, or just mere ceiling of their effort and natural ability.
He is a good player that United need to sign but we can't depend on him because still Young there4 United needs to get another more experience player to put less pressure for him to develop under our coach.

Considering he's left footed, What about using of his right foot ? especially for scoring because united already have a more dependent left foot player.

We didn't name him that, there have been several articles calling likening him to Haaland for obvious reasons - both young, left footed, Scandinavian strikers who are tall and extremely quick. Also, they've both scored a hatful of goals in the Austrian Bundesliga as teenagers.
