This song, much like “Metal Ripper” and “Metal Crüe”, is a tribute to heavy metal; instead of referencing lyrics from other songs, however, the lyrics incorporate song titles from various bands/artists.
No wonder I was so confused, not my finest moment... Thanks for the input!
Evidently Joakim wrote this song in a bathroom when the band was pressuring him to write the lyrics for the music. There were some magazines that covered metal bands and he wrote the lyrics on toilet paper using a cardboard box as a table. The lyrics use the titles of songs by metal bands.

This is on of my "when i´m drunk and alone" favorit on repeat songs. Joakim wrote this song sitting in/on a toilet on toiletpaper. u know by now i just realised. Cheers from a Swede in France atm.

There are so far 4 sabaton songs that are anthems of their music influences, Metal Crue, Metal Machine, Metal Riper, and finally, ManOwaR, the last is all Manowar (band) album song lyrics and themes.
Yeah like the previous comment, don't read too deeply into the lyrics xD You can read it how you want, I also think of it as a war song when I listen to it, and then the chorus reminds me that it isn't really at all.
This was before they found their niche with war history, technically. Although it does fit to some degree with the lyrics.
But the next album is their first real war album. So enjoy it :)

The lyrics had me very confused Dx and the video didn't help! I went down a path that was never meant to exist.
It's pretty cool how we can interpret music so differently though, what would we do without it!
