OMG guys and gals! I can't believe I out off watching this movie for so long! Thought it was a great film! Was the 3D work the import?! watch and find out!
Nice one, I liked the 3D in this one too. If you'd asked me two or three years ago whether I'd spend £80 on a Marvel film which I wasn't all that interested in just to get it in 3D, I'd have said no way. Cut to today, and the sporadic arrival of 3D Blu-rays with their pick-a-random-country release schedule - and I feel pleased with myself to have got hold of a copy! We've recently been to Japan, Germany and Australia (well, our wallets have); I wonder where next... Cheers.
did the jump too (i'm in France) and yes it was definitely worth it (since I buy far less BR3D theses years :p). Cant wait for next marvel ones. I really hope we'll see some kind of 3D revivals past Avatars Sequels but ... not so sure. still dont understand why the public are not totally into the 3D (but maybe it's generational kindda, I grew up with Viewmaster stuff with 3D dioramas )
I think the 3D really works for this movie. Of all the Japanese marvel movies this one I found to be the best. Depth and even the few pop outs were very strong. Also this is the last 3D marvel movie with the IMAX scenes, so that a win. As far as price, I don’t care. The subtitle issue does hurt this title for a lot of people, but there are a few fixes. One, just watch with the subs on. But that annoying. The fix I found was to rip the movie twice. Once without subtitles, and the second time with the subtitles hard coded to the transfer. I used DVDfab. Then I edited the versions together so the subtitles match the appropriate dialogue and sign language. As far as the opening text. I just ripped the English version and converted it to SBS 3D like the rest of the movie. Export to 4K for max bit rate and fidelity and there you go. Luckily of the 3 Japanese discs this was the easiest to do this with. Externals has a lot of subtitle moments, and Shang chi had even more. Tedious I know, but it works. I rip all my 3D discs to a hard drive so I can watch them in VR.
I'm at a loss for it as well. There used to be on option for some studios where they would make the disc when you ordered and paid for it. That would be a good option 🤷♂️
I have been meaning to put out a video with my thoughts on it, but I'm dealing with a family member in the ICU right now. All I will say is...go see it while you can!

I hope they don't give up on it yet! Give us a few more years! 😂
@@shanksranks5823 Exactly - all the Avatar sequels, at least..!

@@axelriviere7605 Shang-Chi coming next from Japan: There goes another seventy quid..!
@@axelriviere7605 I never understood why people don't like it either. Alot of them complain about "Having to wear glasses" 😂
Shanks ranks strikes again! Great video shanks
Man I love 3D but it's even better when you watch it on a projector
I've never owned my own projector 🤷♂️ when my 3D TV's go out that'll be my next step. Until then, I'm loving my LG OLED 😁😁😁

Great review! By the way, Shang-Chi is getting a 3D Blu-ray release in Japan!
Pre-ordered mine a couple days ago 👍
you got a quest?
I don't get why they only put 3d blu ray in certain countries

Are the Japan discs Region Free?
Yes they are 👍
See Eternals in 3D yet?
