- I'm so glad to be able to put out a video after so long! Hope you all didn't forget about me! Here are my thoughts on our latest 3D blu ray release in the States! If you've already seen it, let me know what you thought of it in the comment section!

Glad to see this review! I've been watching on quest 3 lately with 4xvr and that's a game changer... mvc decoding (finally) means full res playback from a makemkv file is easy and 512gb means I can store like a dozen 3d titles on it. Worth checking out if you want more HMD based 3d options
Good to see you back. I'm with you: No point in the 4K disc when there's a 3D Blu-ray as good as this one. It does feel like this could well end up being the final widely-available mainstream 3D Blu-ray release (outside of Japan). Us 3D fans now have to hope that the next Avatar film (and the next one...) manages to defy the odds and sneak out a 3D Blu-ray release. I'd always hoped Cameron would add a third legacy conversion to Judgement Day and Titanic and give The Abyss the 3D treatment, but I guess that's never going to happen. At least that film's finally about to get the disc release it deserves. Cheers.
I've also been hearing alot of good things about watching 3D movies from "big screen" app on the Meta Quest 3. After owning the PSVR and the Cinera Edge, I'm a little hesitant to shell out the cash for that one. Have you ever tried it?
@@shanksranks5823 I haven't, but probably ought to at least give it a try. Apple Vision's going to cost way more than I'd spend on that sort of thing, but I'm looking forward to hearing feedback on how it is with 3D movies. For me though, when I put on a VR headset, I generally want the whole VR experience - and, sad to say, 3D movies feel a little "lightweight" up against full-fat VR. Massively looking forward to the Resident Evil 4 update for PSVR2 that's now due in just a few days time...
Great review! I loved this, and don't hesitate to say it's maybe even slightly better than the original Avatar. And as for image clarity, it's the best 3D has to offer and the closest we've gotten to 4K 3D. The underwater scenes are mindblowing and Even the dark scenes are breathtaking.

I managed to get a great deal on the 3d release. Poppit on to look at some scenes but not watched it fully yet. I did see this in the cinema in 3d, though, very impressive
I like that it's split into two disc's. Nice little intermission!
You got a quest? I watch a lot of 3d movies on it.
I have the PSVR and Cinera Edge (which both have their pros and cons) but I prefer using my 3D TV usually. How's the quest?
@@shanksranks5823I like it a lot for watching movies with friends. I watch 3d movies in a virtual theater of 15 ppl
"The Way of the Water" lol Might want for read the cover again.
Oh no, you're thinking of that other movie!
@shanksranks5823 Yeah, yeah, you can fix the title, but you still call it The Way of The Water in the first 15 seconds!
@DarthHater100 Nooo!! My Empire and all 300+ subscribers come tumbling down! LoL 😆 Thanks for keeping an eye out though! Have you picked up a copy of the movie?
@@shanksranks5823 I'm a pretty big fan, so I double dipped! Bought it on Apple TV in "4K" and it looked amazing, even for streaming. HAD to buy the 3D Blu-ray! Great experience! Thanks for the review.
As of now, is this the most recent domestic US 3D release?
Yes I believe so, but I wouldn't expect much more. There are other new released but they are crazy expensive to import from Japan
@@shanksranks5823I thought so. It might be the last one for a long time, but at least 3D went out with a bang with this great release. No glasses 3D might be our only hope for a future resurgence of the format. But even that might not be enough.
@@shinedown54apple Vision pro does 3D and apple tv has started to stream 3D content for it.
