Warwick said he remembers stating that he wasn’t accepting of the couple’s beliefs and thought some of the things that Chad Daybell and Lori Vallow would say and do were unusual and unsettling.

I feel like this testimony, though frustrating at times, has helped provide a much clearer idea of what was going on between him, mel Gib, and the two doomsday lovers. From what it sounds like to me, mel and David met and were trying to have a respectable relationship whilst in the middle of divorce with a child with disabilities. Of course mel and Lori would have bonded over this and that is how the relationship got stronger between them. But mel knew there was something off and had asked David to sort of see it for himself and see if he couldn't bring clarity. He knew they were bonkers and trying to justify their crap with this prophet bologna but he wasn't trying to cause a fight. There is a big difference between being in the middle of a divorce and starting to see somebody, and seeing somebody while you are waiting for your wife to die....
He wasn't buying what they were selling. Mel gib was trying to unravel herself from a weird friendship but didn't want to ghost Lori. They are all human (even though chad and Lori like to think otherwise) and nobody is perfect but the defense attorney is going on that still married bit cuz he knows it will be a guilt trip. The defense attorney is just doing his job. I am just so thankful they found the bodies of the kids or we would still be wondering today and the doomsday lovers may still be free, ruining more lives. Peace to David and Melanie, they got caught up in some wild crap.

We need to hear from her! I didn’t see her testimony at the LVD trial but I might try to find it. I saw somewhere, maybe the Netflix doco where she feared for her life from Alex.
