- Brandon Boudreaux, the ex-husband of Lori Vallow's niece, continued to testify on Tuesday afternoon. He became emotional while telling the story of having to identify the body of Lori Vallow's son, JJ, after investigators found JJ and his stepsister, Tylee, buried in Chad Daybell's backyard.

This case blows my mind due to the fact that I was a devout yet unsaved member of the CJCLDS until 18. The pressure to go on a mission was 1 of the factors in my quiting. 73 now & have been a Nondenomination Believer since age 25.

After their deaths she kept living it up in Hawaii with the checks Tylee and JJ received from their fathers being deceased, the check she received for being JJs surviving parent and she thought she was getting Charles life insurance. She wanted the money, but not the responsibility.

It’s wild that Brandon almost gets murdered by these people who were supposed to be his family, then has to identify the body of a child who wasn’t able to get away from the people who were supposed to love him. I hope he is able to get full custody of his kids. I don’t think his ex wife should be out free in the world let alone able to have her kids.

The timing of Alex shooting at Brandon, was to assure Melanie Boudreaux got full custody of their children. She didn’t go to court that day at all. Oops, she counted on Alex. Missing the court date, she didn’t contest Brandon getting full custody.

The more this trial builds, the more I realize Lori should had received the death penalty.
It was off the table because of her "fragile mental status." I know...IMO she was feigning mental instability to save her skin.
Maybe she’ll get it for Charles murder. She’ll be going on trial for that crime some time this year I believe.

The only reason she didn’t get the DP is that she didn’t waive her right to a speedy trial (most do) and the prosecution was taking forever to supply her with discovery, so the judge tossed it because she wasn’t able to prepare her defense and the constitution says she has the right to do that. Her mental state was NOT an issue.
This guy's testimony made me cry during Lori's trial. Poor guy has to go through this hellish rodeo a second time.

Like many of you, I remember the day the kids were found. I get so angry and so heartbroken every time a witness talks about those beautiful children. IF ONE OFFICER TOOK CHARLES SERIOUSLY… THEY WOULD BE ALIVE! Tylee and JJ deserved life!!!

Adam spoke to Charles the morning he got killed. Charles told him Alex was their. Adam got taken back by that. He told Charles what is Alex doing their. Adam and his son was riding with a friend. He told them something is not right. So the friend Googled Charles name. The friend said he was shot and killed. Adam said he started crying. I'm sure Adam is haunted by that because he started thinking about Joe Ryan's death. Same thing happen with Joe Ryan.

Pryor is presenting himself as pious since he's not being paid any longer and was granted the ability to remove himself from the case before trial started.

Because they’re allowed to when it’s not direct. When you cross- you’re asking questions to follow up on their previous answers so they pretty much HAVE to be leading.

Everything aside, the fact that ALL of these people get married within the year of divorcing or tragically, losing a spouse is a red flag for me. Where I live, this would be looked upon as classless and inappropriate. It must be a "mormon" thing. I think this lack of self awareness, critical thinking or non-ability to live single is normal for folks in cults.

Have you all noticed that Prior uses very manipulative language? Tries to shape the questions in such a way that will trick the witness. However, they are pretty dang smart and don't fall into his trap.
It seems like John Pryor doesn't realize he doesn't have to cross examine every single witness and sometimes it's better not to, imo. I'm not an attorney but sometimes it's better to leave something alone.

Why did the nephew identify JJ?
Because the grandfather was ill in his hotel room and his wife stayed there by his side and he showed up for support to the grandparents hotel room and seen the condition the grandfather was in and he volunteered to go and do the identification for them. And they agreed . I’m sure that saved them more pain. Seeing in pictures is way different than in person.

I believe when Chad found out they weren't going to get the money from Charlie's insurance, he started losing interest in Lori. Out of desperation she offered up JJ and Kylie, under the condition he offer up Tammy. He definitely became more powerful in the relationship and Lori because more insecure. Just my opinion about the relationship dynamics from testimony of different people during the trial.
