What are the documents required to open stock exchange account in Pakistan and how to invest from overseas or resident Pakistanis? We shall be explaining how to initiate the process of opening the account and actual process of dealing with broker and other agencies like CDC and NCCPL. A common platform is used in most of the brokers which is TRADECAST - which we shall take an overview to execute a trade. Along with the trade cast app, the CDC interface will be discussed as well which is the central place to have a look at your portfolio.

I invested 10k in Mutual Funds. Just motivated from your video's. Now I am going to open account in stock market.
Still account opening is difficult for tradind in psx and I have opened account in binance for crypto and it was halwa and then I opened account in brokers for Forex they are also halwa but psx is way more difficult

Another cool video. Its much easier to understand when you explain. Earlier I was thinking about mutual funds but now I got to know that real thing is stocks. I'm going to start in stocks as my side business.

Can you tell me how to get login information for cdcaccess, is it same as AHL login info?
CDC account login is different - you should receive an email from CDC directly. The user name is generally your CNIC#.
Thanks for this practical knowledge. It was really helpful as I am also planning to open an account with same brokerage firm that you’ve mentioned.
Secondly, you’re totally right about complex processes. It’s not just about brokerage firms but everything here is really complicated. Especially financial services. I opened a UBL digital account 3 weeks ago but it still hasn’t been activated 🤦♂️. Banda tang aajata hai.

I think we are slowly moving towards digital age which needs to be expedited.
I had a similar experience with UBL RDA. After a wait and repeated emails for months, it was activated but I still couldn't transfer funds. I think the problem is with UBL as my friends were satisfied with other banks.

Wali bhai.. I have opened CDC account through RDA account and choose KTrade as a broker. I also open AKD account linked with local bank account not linked with RDA. Can i move my shares from AKD's sub-account to CDC account of RDA? or I have to open new invester account with CDC for shares i purchased with funds in Pakistani local bank. pls guide. Thanks
One cannot move the stocks from PK based account to RDA based account I believe.

You need broker account and subsequently CDC account. With broker account you can trade the stocks and those stocks will in turn placed in CDC account.

What about the digital Sahulat stock account? Many firms such as Ktrade are offering such an easy account and trading through a mobile app. Is it as good as the conventional account? What are your recommendations?
As far as I know that account has the limitation of the amount you can invest - I think it's somewhere around 8lac (I may be wrong). But to start with, its not a bad idea.

Can you explain trading mode, as in account opening process the brokerage company asked that what will be the trading mode i.e with or without trader, which one should we go for a long investment in mind.
I would go without trader as that will be cheaper to start with plus it will help you make your own decisions.

If you make the account through RDA, Zakat is already exempted.

Hi. i have a normal account in Pakistan but unfortunatly don’t have internet banking since the bank had asked me to visit the branch which is not possible currently being overseas pakistani. Can I transfer funds to broker’s account directly from my account in uae and receive the funds in PK account when I sell the stocks later? Pls adivse.

I don’t think the broker will work like this. But why don’t you simply open RDA? You won’t have to go for any troubles you mentioned.

You can choose any good broker regardless of the city you are based on. All the big brokers like Arif Habib & AKD should do the job.

Demat is a term used in India, not for Pakistan. Pakistan might have CDC account for stocks investment.

@@WaliKhan_2k Dear Wali! This part (CDC account @21:15) is a bit confusing. Do you have an investor account or a sub account? For a CDC investor account, its a lengthy 5 steps process, i.e. filling the text fields, uploading scanned copied of documents etc. Did you do that while creating your investor account? I'm asking because you didn't mention all that in the video. Kindly elaborate. Thanks,

You can make RDA i believe. Try opening that and then it should not be any issue.

You need to contact Mutual fund companies like AKD or Meezan bank to pen the account with them.
Hi Sir, Can we open 2 stock exchange accounts at a same time through 2 different banks in Pakistan. I have one account already through Meezan bank and I am trying to open another account through Bank Alfalah however, it is not letting me do so. I called Bank Alfalah and they said that you can't have 2 accounts at a time. You have to close the first account. Is it true?
I believe so - but I have not done it myself yet. But I know a few people talking to me earlier about the same and they have 2 accounts. But I still need to double check on that.
@@WaliKhan_2k I double checked already with CDC and unfortunately I cannot open 2 accounts and I have to close the 1st account in order to open a new one. This is only for RDA account holders

Sorry, this is a very misleading video title. Please do your research before posting videos especially when others are relying on your information. RDA account holders transfer funds to CDC not directly to the broker bank account. There are different processes for opening brokerage account for resident and RDA account holders.
Once you go into the process with the broker, they will explain everything as things change a lot on regular basis. Idea is to start towards opening the account.
