Why do you delay your daughter's fulfillment of the bethrotal? you let yourself lacking of an ally when you defend against Apulia where obviously you struggled for a bit there until the nrg God smiled upon you by capturing the key prisoner.
Two,the reason you lost almost half of your battles despite numerical advantage is your commander was worse than Apulia's (your 12 vs their 20) and then later you let your own army marching and engage in battles without a commander.
regarding your newly acquired vassal,the Count of Cagliari,ought not to worry. upon his death (which you can expedite by plotting his assassination,if you want to) his realm going to splinter into three holdings, divided among his sons. You did do one thing correct by placing him in your council,so there's that. although i would suggest to seize their land for your own,theres a mine there that could boost your income.
oh and one more thing,you can change the staging/mustering spot for your army by clicking the banner icon and put it elsewhere on the land you or your vassal owned. It shortened the distance instead of sailing there when you continue to try and expand on the mainland of italy.

Also I wonder if there is a benefit to taking Corsica. Also having a bit of land in the mainland Italy is going to benefit you greatly later on.

The reason you lost the first battle, I think, because the other guy had better commanders. That is quite important
You should also focus on army quality.
you're going to need different types of military units.
why dont you station your regiments? also you need siege regiments
Don't love the series. Not much to look at besides a map (with little action on it), and a bunch of windows openening and closing all the time.

And he plays so quickly, opening and closing windows at lightning speed that it's hard to keep up sometimes. 😂

You can’t always control the pace of the game but he is doing whatever he can do.
It must be hard to balance the speed for these. If you take time to read and look at each screen (and I’m not talking super slow/ silly speeds, just normal reading speeds) someone will complain too. It’s not a tutorial either. Many people even learning people will know many of the pop ups and possibly not want to see them.
I don’t know if slowing down the video helps for those wanting to see the windows longer. But the distorted voice is not great when doing that.
