1. You can raise your troops on the mainland by moving the existing flag or creating a new flag. Since departing to sea takes some time you could easily crush your enemies before they leave. That way you also don't always spend ~20 coins on each sea crossing.
2. On a siege you can leave behind the minimum required troops to keep the siege going, while attacking armies that are sieging your cities.

JTLYK, I've noticed since the Stranded series that your mic's gate seems to be set too high, so your voice cuts off more often than it should. It happens fairly often so it should be noticeable.
